construction, and fully understands these instructions.
• Make sure that the supporting surface will safely support the combined load of the equipment and all attached
hardware and components.
• Never exceed the Maximum Load Capacity. See page one.
• If mounting to wood wall studs, make sure that mounting screws are anchored into the center of the studs. Use of
an"edgetoedge"studnderishighlyrecommended.
• Always use an assistant or mechanical lifting equipment to safely lift and position equipment.
• Tightenscrewsrmly,butdonotovertighten.Overtighteningcandamagetheitems,greatlyreducingtheirholding
power.
• This product is intended for indoor use only. Use of this product outdoors could lead to product failure and personal
injury.

Installation to Wood Stud Wall
A
• Installer must verify that the supporting surface will safely support the combined load of the equipment and all
attached hardware and components.
• Tighten wood screws sothatwallplateisrmlyattached, but do not overtighten. Overtightening can damage the
screws, greatly reducing their holding power.
• Never tighten in excess of 80 in. • lb (9 N.M.).
• Makesurethatmountingscrewsareanchoredintothecenterofthestud.Theuseofan"edgetoedge"studnder
is highly recommended.
• Hardware provided is for attachment of mount through standard thickness drywall or plaster into wood studs. Install-
ers are responsible to provide hardware for other types of mounting situations (not evaluated by UL).
• When installing Peerless wall mounts on a wood stud wall covered with gypsum board (drywall), verify that the
woods studs are a minimum of 2"x4"nominal size. When installing to more than one stud, insure the spacing be-
tween studs is at least 16"but does not exceed 24". Do not install over gypsum board thicker than 5/8".
WARNING
Useastudndertolocatetheedgesofthestud.Useofanedge-to-edgestudnderishighlyrecommended.
Based on their edges, draw a vertical line down the stud center. Place pull-out mount assembly (A) on wall as
a template. Level plate, and mark the center of the four mounting holes. Make sure that the mounting holes are
onthestudcenterline.Drillfour5/32"(4mm)dia.holes2-1/2"(65mm)deep.Makesurethatthepull-outmount
assembly (A)islevel,secureitusingfour#14x2.5"woodscrews(E) and fender washers (G) as shown below.

use it as a template to mark four mounting holes. Drill

wall as shown (right). Place pull-out mount assembly
(A)overanchorsandsecurewithfour#14x2.5"
screws (E), and fender washers (G). Level, then
tighten all fasteners.

WARNING
• When installing Peerless wall mounts on a concrete wall, the wall must be at least 8"thick with a minimum compres-
sive strength of 2000 psi.
•WheninstallingPeerlesswallmountsonacinderblockwall,thecinderblocksmustmeetASTMC-90specications
and have a minimum nominal width of 8". Do not drill into mortar joints! Be sure to mount in a solid part of the block,
generally 1"(25 mm) minimum from the side of the block. It is suggested that a standard electric drill on slow setting
is used to drill the hole instead of a hammer drill to avoid breaking out the back of the hole when entering a void or
cavity.
• Make sure that the wall will safely support four times the combined load of the equipment and all attached hardware
and components.

3Attach adapter brackets (B) to pull-out mount assembly. Slide
adapter brackets (B) into position.
Loosely fasten in place using security screw as shown.
NOTE: Once display is located in desired position (±2"from
center), tighten security screws using 4mm allen wrench (K)
to lock in place.
Heavier displays may need additional
tension. Extend the mount then loosen
tension knobs. Reposition knobs in slots.
Tighten knobs to secure in place.
