UNDER COUNTER REFRIGERATION
MANUAL OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND INSTALLATION

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injur when using our chiller/freezer,
please note the following basic precautions:
•Before using, read all instructions
•Never clean appliance parts with flammable liquids. Also do not use to
store gasoline or an other flammable vapours or liquids in the vicinit of
this or an other appliance. The fumes can create a fire or explosion.
•If the suppl cord is damaged, it must be replaced b the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarl qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
•WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in
the built in structure, clear of obstruction.
•WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than those recommended b the
manufacturer.
•WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
•WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance, unless the are of the t pe recommended
b the manufacturer
•Flammable insulation material must be disposed of b a specialized agenc
INSTALLATION
•Remove all the packing material before using our chiller/freezer
•Clean the interior surface with a soft cloth and lukewarm water
•Locate the chiller/freezer in a dr and air place
•Chillers/freezers transported in the horizontal position must be returned to
the upright position and not plugged in for 1 hour
This is essential fo p ope ope ation
•Chiller/freezer transported in the horizontal position requires the drain
pan, located in the top of the compressor, to be checked for proper
location.
•For proper operation, locate the chiller/freezer on a levelled counter top
•Do not place the appliance ver close to walls, this could damage the
electric cord and ma block the air circulation to the appliance. Keep the
chiller/freezer a distance of at least 4 inches from the wall.
•Do not block the air intake that ventilates the condenser unit.
ELECTRIC CONNECTION
•Make sure there is a suitable power outlet (AC220 – 240v/50Hz, 13amps
outlet) with proper grounding to power the chiller/freezer.
•WARNING: Do not plug other electrical appliances into the chiller/freezer
outlet. Provide an outlet specificall for the chiller/freezer. If the cord is
damaged, replace it and do not tr to repair it.

STARTUP
•Plug in the cabinet; operate the chiller/freezer for three hours. This will
aid in refrigerator performance.
•The electronic thermostat can be adjusted b pressing the
SET
ke more
than 3 seconds, the displa will flash. Select the desired target
temperature b pressing the
SET
ke , the temperature (in centigrade)
ma be adjusted 0 to +8 for the chiller, -16 to -24 for the freezer.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
•Before cleaning the appliance alwa s remember to unplug it, never unplug
our freezer b pulling on the power cord. Alwa s grasp the plug firml
and pull straight out from the power outlet.
•Do not use sharp or pointed objects for cleaning
•Clean the inside of the chiller/freezer with a damp cloth or with a neutral
cleanser. Avoid damage b never using abrasive or flammable cleaning
products. Clean the condenser at least once a month with a vacuum
cleaner and a brush to eliminate dust accumulation.
Power Failure
•Please minimise the frequenc of door opening during a power failure.
Generall power failures are corrected within a few hours and the
temperature of our chiller/freezer will not be affected. If the power will
be off for an extended period, proper procedure should be followed with
regard to the storage cans.
•Non usage for extended period of time: If our chiller/freezer is unused for
an extended period, it is best to remove the cans, unplug and clean the
chiller/freezer. Also please leave the door open to avoid possible
formation of condensation, mould or odours.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If our chiller/freezer does not work properl , please note the
following suggestions before attempting repair.
You chille /f eeze does not wo k:
•Check the electrical outlet for power, and that the plug is properl inserted
•Check the condenser for proper cleaning
•The circuit breaker is tripped or the fuse is blown
You chille /f eeze makes too much noise:
•Check that the chiller/freezer is level
Comp esso tu ns on and off f equently:
•The room temperature is higher than normal
•The door is not closed completel
•The door gasket is not sealed well
•There is insufficient clearance around the chiller/freezer
•The temperature is not set properl
•The c cling frequenc will reduce when all of the cans reach set
temperature
The following is not a malfunction:
•It is normal to hear gurgling sounds caused b the flow of refrigerant
when each cooling c cle ends.

Door Reversal Instructions
Please Note
: If the model has a self closing door mechanism a top left hand
hinge plate ma be required.
To reverse the way the door opens please follow below instructions:
•

•Ensure the unit is unplugged and empt , also ensure the condensate water
collection tra at the back of the cabinet is empt . This is located next to the
compressor, if this is full of water remove the back panel and empt the tra .
•

•On self door closing versions insert a thin screwdriver into the bottom door pin
tensioning bush and release the spring tension and remove the tensioning pin.
•

•Tilt the unit backwards to expose the bottom door hinge bracket. Remove the
adjustable foot from the hinge plate and remove the securing screws. Remove
the bottom hinge plate.
•

•Slightl open the door and pull downwards to remove the door from the top
hinge pin.
•
••
•Lift the cabinet back to it’s upright position and remove the screws under the
front edge of the top panel and also remove the rear screws, lift up the rear of
the top panel and carefull pull towards the front of the cabinet to loosen the
top panel.
•

• Carefull lift up the top panel and rest the top panel back onto the top of the
cabinet so the top hinge plate can be accessed
•
••
•If the door is NOT self closing remove the top hinge pin and secure the pin to
the top hinge bracket on the left hand side of the cabinet
•

•If the unit is a self door closing version then the left hand top hinge plate will
need drilling to accommodate the larger diameter door bush previousl fitted
into the bottom hinge plate
•

•If the unit is a self closing door version, then the left hand top hinge plate will
need drilling to accommodate the larger diameter door bush previousl fitted
into the bottom hinge plate. Remove the top right hand hinge pin and secure
this to the loose bottom hinge plate
•

•Later models will require a top left hand hinge plate ordering as the do not
come fitted as standard. Reassemble the top panel and refit the securing
screws
•
••
•Tilt the unit backwards, invert door and position it onto the top hinge pin,
remove the bottom hinge pin from the bottom hinge plate and refit on the
opposite side of the plate
•
••
•Refit the bottom hinge plate to the left hand position and refit using the
existing screws and refit the adjustable foot.
