Vor dem Benutzen
Der Filter-Wasserkocher darf nur für
den vorgesehenen Zweck gemäß
dieser Gebrauchsanweisung verwen-
det werden. Lesen Sie die Ge-
brauchsanweisung deshalb vor der
Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig. Sie gibt
Anweisungen für den Gebrauch, die
Reinigung und die Pflege des Gerä-
tes. Bei Nichtbeachtung übernehmen
wir keine Haftung für eventuelle Schä-
den. Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchs-
anweisung sorgfältig auf und geben
Sie diese gemeinsam mit dem Gerät
an Nachbenutzer weiter. Beachten
Sie auch die Garantiehinweise am
Ende.
Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerbli-
chen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Das Warndreieck kennzeichnet
alle für die Sicherheit wichtigen An-
weisungen. Befolgen Sie diese im-
mer, andernfalls könnten Sie sich
verletzen oder das Gerät könnte
beschädigt werden.
Die Originalverpackung ist speziell
gestaltet, um im Servicefall einen
sicheren Transport zu gewährleisten.
Bewahren Sie deshalb die Verpac-
kung zumindest für den Garantie-
zeitraum auf.
Sicherheitshinweise
Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an
eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte
Schutzkontaktsteckdose an. Die
Spannung muss mit der Angabe
auf dem Typschild am Boden des
Gerätes übereinstimmen.
Klemmen Sie die Zuleitung nicht
ein und schützen Sie diese vor
scharfen Kanten, Feuchtigkeit,
Hitze oder Öl. Schließen Sie das
Gerät nicht an, wenn die Zulei-
tung beschädigt ist. Sie muss
dann umgehend durch unseren
zentralen Kundendienst oder eine
ähnlich qualifizierte Person
ersetzt werden. Durch unsach-
gemäße Reparaturen könnten
erhebliche Gefahren für den Be-
nutzer entstehen.
Betreiben Sie den Wasserkocher
nur mit dem dazugehörigen
Sockel.
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb neh-
men bzw. sofort den Netzstecker
ziehen, wenn es beschädigt oder
undicht ist oder wenn der Ver-
dacht auf einen Defekt nach ei-
nem Sturz oder Ähnlichem be-
steht. Geben Sie in diesen Fällen
das Gerät zur Reparatur.
Stellen Sie den Wasserkocher
nicht auf heiße Oberflächen z. B.
Herdplatten o. Ä. oder in die Nä-
he der offenen Gasflamme, das
Gehäuse könnte dabei anschmel-
zen. Wasserempfindliche Ober-
flächen sind als Aufstellfläche
ungeeignet, da diese durch Was-
serspritzer beschädigt werden
könnten.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder
keine Gelegenheit erhalten, mit
dem Gerät zu spielen.
Verbrühungsgefahr durch heißes
Wasser und Dampf. Wird das
Gerät überfüllt, mit offenem
Deckel betrieben oder während
des Betriebes an der Zuleitung
gezogen, könnte kochendes
Wasser herausspritzen. Den
heißen Wasserkocher nur am
Griff anfassen und zum Aus-
gießen den Deckel nicht öffnen.
Wenn der Wasserkocher längere
Zeit nicht benutzt wird, sollten Sie
ihn restlos leeren und den
Netzstecker ziehen.
Inbetriebnahme
Reinigen Sie vor Erstbenutzung den
Filter-Wasserkocher wie im Abschnitt
„Reinigung und Pflege“ beschrieben.
Ziehen Sie die Taste
im Deckel in Richtung
Griff, um den Deckel
zu öffnen. Den Filter-
behälter (1) können
Sie an dessen Griff
(2) herausziehen.
Der Siebeinsatz in der Ausgießtülle
hält Aktivkohlepartikel aus der Filter-
kartusche oder von der Heizung ab-
geplatzte Kalkteile beim Ausgießen
zurück. Zum Reinigen können Sie ihn
nach oben heraus ziehen. Die nicht
benötigte Länge der Anschlussleitung
können Sie am Boden des Sockels (6)
aufwickeln. Schließen Sie danach
den Netzstecker an eine Schutzkon-
taktsteckdose an.
Aqua Optima®Filterkartusche
Die Aqua Optima®Filterkartusche
reduziert Kalk und andere uner-
wünschte Stoffe wie z.B. Chlor, Blei
oder Kupfer im Leitungswasser.
Geruch, Farbe und Geschmack von
Getränken und Speisen werden ver-
bessert, da sich deren Aromastoffe
optimal entfalten können.
Hinweis: Zur Kariesprophylaxe bei-
gegebene Fluoride werden nicht
reduziert.
Aktivierung der Filterkartusche
Nehmen Sie die Filterkartusche (4)
aus der Verpackung und schwenken
Sie diese im kalten Wasser, bis keine
Luftblasen mehr auftauchen.
Achten Sie darauf,
dass der Dichtring
(3) am Filterbehälter
(1) wie im Bild dar-
gestellt montiert ist.
Sollte er sich gelöst
haben, setzen Sie
ihn mit der flachen Seite nach unten
auf die Fixierrippen des Filterbehälters.
Setzen Sie die Fil-
terkartusche (4) in
die Aufnahme des
Filterbehälters (1)
und verdrehen sie
diese im Uhrzeiger-
sinn, bis sie fest
klemmt. Setzen Sie den kompletten
Filterbehälter (1) in den Wasser-
kocher und drücken Sie ihn nach
unten, bis er einrastet.

Eine neue Filterkar-
tusche muss zuerst
zweimal gespült
werden.
Füllen Sie dazu den
Filterbehälter (1) bis
zu dessen max-Mar-
ke (5) mit Leitungswasser. Gießen
Sie das gefilterte Wasser weg.
Spülen Sie anschließend den Was-
serkocher aus. Die Wirksamkeit der
Filterkartusche lässt
mit zunehmender
Benutzung nach.
Wir empfehlen des-
halb, den regel-
mäßigen Wechsel
1 mal im Monat. Wenn Sie eine neue
Filterkartusche eingesetzt haben,
stellen Sie das Memo-Rad (7) im
Sockel (6) zur Erinnerung an den fäl-
ligen Wechsel auf den nächsten
Monat. Verbrauchte Filterkartuschen
entsorgen Sie bitte im Hausmüll.
Ersatz Filterkartuschen bekommen
Sie dort, wo das Gerät gekauft wur-
de, oder Sie bestellen direkt beim
Hersteller (Aqua Optima®Filterkar-
tusche FK 40 - 3 Stück je Packung).
Wichtige Hinweise
• Den Filter-Wasserkocher nur mit
kaltem Leitungswasser verwen-
den.
• Den Filter-Wasserkocher nicht di-
rekter Sonnenstrahlung aussetzen.
• Wenn Sie den Filter-Wasser-
kocher längere Zeit nicht benutzen,
lagern Sie die Filterkartusche am
besten, in einem Folienbeutel ver-
packt, im Kühlschrank. Wenn Sie
den Wasserfilter wieder in Betrieb
nehmen, gießen Sie das erste
gefilterte Wasser weg.
• Ersatz-Filterkartuschen immer in
Originalverpackung kühl und
trocken lagern
• Durch das Filtern erhöht sich der
Kaliumgehalt des Trinkwassers.
Nierenkranke, Dialysepatienten
oder andere Personen, die Kalium-
diät einhalten müssen, sollten vor
dem Verzehr des gefilterten Was-
sers ihren Arzt befragen.
• Das Filtermaterial in der Kartusche
wurde zur Sicherung einer langan-
haltenden hygienischen Unbedenk-
lichkeit mit Silber behandelt. Eine
geringe Menge wird beim Filtern
an das Wasser abgegeben. Diese
Menge liegt weit unterhalb des in
den Richtlinien der Weltgesund-
heitsorganisation (WHO) festge-
legten Grenzwertes.
• Aqua Optima®Filterkartuschen
werden regelmäßig durch die Ge-
sundheitsorganisation NSF über-
prüft.
Wasserstandsanzeige
Bis zur mit gekennzeichneten
1,0 Liter-Marke gilt die Wasser-
standsanzeige für den Betrieb mit
der Aqua Optima®Filterkartusche.
Wenn Sie den Filterbehälter (1) bis
zur max-Marke (5) füllen, steht das
Wasser nach dem Filtern etwa im
Bereich der 1-Liter-Marke. Beachten
Sie, dass bei Filterbetrieb der Was-
serstand die mit gekennzeichnete
1,0 Liter-Marke nicht überschreiten
darf.
Sie können den Wasserkocher
sofort, noch während das Wasser
durch den Filter läuft, auf den Sockel
setzen und die Einschalttaste oben
am Griff auf Istellen. Schließen Sie
jedoch vorher den Deckel bis er ein-
rastet, nur so arbeitet die KochStop-
Automatic zuverlässig. Die Kontroll-
leuchte in der Einschalttaste zeigt an,
dass das Gerät heizt.
Sie können den Wasserkocher auch
ohne Filter betreiben, um schnell bis
zu 1,7 Liter erhitzen zu können.
Entnehmen Sie dazu den Filterbe-
hälter (1) und füllen Sie den Wasser-
kocher höchstens bis zur max-Marke.
Den Wasserkocher zum Füllen
vom Sockel nehmen. Füllen Sie
nur kaltes Frischwasser ein, nie-
mals kohlensäurehaltiges Was-
ser oder andere Flüssigkeiten wie
Milch o. Ä.
Auf Grund der hohen Leistungsauf-
nahme ist während des Kochens mit
einer erhöhten Geräuschbildung zu
rechnen.
Das Wasser vom ersten Kochvorgang
ist nicht zur Lebensmittelzubereitung
geeignet.
Abschaltautomatik
Kurze Zeit nachdem das Wasser
kocht, schaltet die KochStopAuto-
matic das Gerät ab - die Kontroll-
leuchte erlischt. Wird nur wenig
Wasser erhitzt, kocht das Wasser
etwas länger, bis zum automatischen
Abschalten.
Wird nur warmes Wasser gewünscht,
kann der Heizvorgang jederzeit ab-
gebrochen werden, indem die Ein-
schalttaste auf gestellt wird. Soll
heißes Wasser nach einiger Zeit
erneut zum Sprudeln gebracht wer-
den, stellen Sie die Einschalttaste
erneut auf I.
Sicherheitssystem
Ein Thermostat schützt den Wasser-
kocher bei versehentlichem Betrieb
ohne Wasser vor Überhitzung, in-
dem er das Gerät abschaltet. Um es
wieder einschalten zu können, muss
es zuvor vom Sockel abgehoben
werden, der Thermostat wird da-
durch zurückgesetzt. Vor dem Was-
sereinfüllen unbedingt ca. 5 Minuten
Abkühlzeit abwarten.
Sollte bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch
der erste Thermostat versagen, sorgt
ein zusätzlicher Temperaturbegren-
zer für einen zuverlässigen Schutz.
Entkalken
Der Ionenaustauscher in der Aqua
Optima®Filterkartusche ist nicht in
der Lage, den Kalk vollständig aus
dem Leitungswasser zu entfernen.

Mit der Zeit kommt es deshalb zu
Ablagerungen am Heizboden, die zu
Energieverlusten führen und die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes beein-
trächtigen.
Das Gerät schaltet vor dem Kochen
ab, wenn die Kalkschicht zu stark ist.
Sie ist dann nur noch sehr schwer zu
entfernen. Der Wasserkocher sollte
deshalb regelmäßig mit einem han-
delsüblichen Entkalker, der für
Edelstahl geeignet ist, behandelt
werden. Die Gebrauchshinweise des
Herstellers sind dabei zu beachten.
Die Lösung keinesfalls aufkochen, da
sie sonst überschäumt.
Die Aqua Optima®Filterkartusche
muss zum Entkalken entfernt
werden.
Nach dem Entkalken den Wasser-
kocher gründlich mit klarem Wasser
ausspülen.
Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung
dieser Hinweise entstehen, fallen
nicht unter die Garantie.
Reinigung und Pflege
Vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker
ziehen.
Tauchen Sie den Wasserkocher
und den Sockel niemals in Wasser.
Spülen Sie den Wasserkocher regel-
mäßig aus und reinigen Sie Filterbe-
hälter und Siebeinsatz im milden
Spülwasser.
Das Geräteäußere nur mit einem
feuchten Tuch reinigen. Keine schar-
fen und scheuernden Reinigungs-
mittel verwenden.
Der Topf besteht aus nichtrostendem
Edelstahl. Sollten sich Rostflecken
zeigen, so sind dies nur auf der Ober-
fläche festhaftende Ablagerungen.
Diese können Sie mit einem
Edelstahl-Putzmittel entfernen.
Ursachen für Störungen
· Gerät schaltet vor dem Kochen ab
Heizboden ist zu stark verkalkt
oder Stromkreis der Steckdose
überlastet.
· Gerät schaltet nicht ab
Deckel bis zum Einrasten schlie-
ßen. Der Siebeinsatz sitzt nicht korrekt.
· Wasserkocher gießt schlecht aus
Siebeinsatz entkalken.
· Gerät lässt sich nicht einschalten
Nach einem Betrieb ohne oder mit
zu wenig Wasser ist das Gerät
noch nicht ausreichend abgekühlt.
Der Thermostat ist noch nicht
zurückgesetzt.
Sollte die Störung nicht behoben
werden können, das Gerät zur Re-
paratur geben.
Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir
gegenüber dem Endkunden eine
24-monatige Haltbarkeitsgarantie.
Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des Ge-
rätes durch den Endkunden und gilt
im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutsch-
land.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind
unter Vorlage des Kaufbelegs direkt
gegenüber unserem zentralen
Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen
sind Schäden durch normalen Ver-
schleiß, unsachgemäßen Gebrauch,
Nichteinhaltung der Entkalkungsan-
weisung sowie unterbliebene Pflege.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu
den Ansprüchen aus dieser Garantie
gesetzliche Ansprüche wegen Män-
geln des Gerätes gegenüber seinem
direkten Verkäufer/Händler, die durch
diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt
werden.

Before using
The FilterKettle may only be used for
the purpose mentioned in these
instructions. Therefore read these
instructions carefully. They contain
important notes for the use, cleaning
and maintenance of the appliance.
In case of non-observance of this
instruction manual no liability will be
taken for possible damages.
Keep these instructions manual in a
safe place and transfer them to a
possible succeeding user.
The appliance is not designed for
commercial purposes.
The warning triangle indicates
all the important instructions for the
safety. They should always be ob-
served, otherwise you might get in-
jured or the appliance might get
damaged.
The original packing is specially
created in order to have a safe trans-
port in case of service. Therefore
keep the packing at least up to the
end of the guarantee period.
Safety advice
Only connect the appliance to a
correctly installed earthed socked.
The voltage must comply with the
indication on the rating plate at
the bottom of the appliance.
Do not pull the connection cord
over sharp edges or jam it, and
protect it from sharp edges, moi-
sture, heat or oil. Do not connect
the appliance if the connection
cord is damaged. It must be re-
placed by our authorised service
agent or by a qualified electrician.
Substantial dangers for the user
can appear from inappropriate
repairs.
Only use the kettle with the base
included.
Do not use the appliance or un-
plug it immediately when it is
damaged or leaking or when any
defect occurs after the appliance
has accidentally dropped or
something similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance
repaired.
Do not place the kettle on hot sur-
faces, e. g. hot plate, etc. or near
an open gas flame, the housing
might melt. Surfaces sensitive to
water are not suitable as they
might be damaged by water
splashes.
Pay attention that children do not
have the opportunity to play with
the appliance.
Scalding danger due to hot water
and steam. If the appliance is
overfilled, operated with the ope-
ned lid or if you pull on the cord
during the operation, boiling
water might splash. Only touch
the hot kettle at the handle and
do not open the lid when pouring
out.
If the kettle is not used for a lon-
ger time, you should empty it
completely and unplug it.
Putting into operation
Before first use, clean the FilterKettle
like described in the section “Cleaning
and Maintenance”.
To open the lid, pull
the button in the lid
in the direction of
the handle. The filter
holder (1) can be
pulled out by its
handle (2). During
the pouring, the sieve in the pouring
spout holds back the active carbon
particles from the filter cartridge or
the chalk particles burst off from the
heating.
For cleaning you can pull it up. Any
length of the cord which is not requi-
red can be rolled up at the bottom of
the base. Plug only into an earthed
socket.
Aqua Optima®Filter cartridge
The Aqua Optima ®filter cartridge
reduces chalk and other unwanted
substances like e.g. chlorine, lead or
copper in the tap water. Odour,
colour and taste of beverages and
food are improved since the aroma
can optimally develop itself in this
way.
Reference: Fluoride added for caries
prophylaxis will not be reduced.
Activating of the filter cartridge
Take out the filter cartridge (4) from
the packing and rinse it in cold water
until air bubbles stop coming out.
Make sure that the sealing ring (3) on
the filter container (1) is put in place
properly as shown
in the picture.
Should it come off,
put it with the flat
side downwards on
the fixing ribs of the
filter container.
Place the filter cartridge (4) into the
insert of the filter container (1) and
turn it anti-clockwise
until it locks in
place. Place the
complete filter con-
tainer (1) into the
kettle and press it
downwards until it
engages.
A new filter cartridge has to firstly be
rinsed twice. To do this : fill the filter
container (1) up to
its max marking (5)
with tap water. Pour
out the filtered
water and then
rinse the kettle pro-
perly.
The effectiveness of the filter cartrid-
ge is reduced gradually with increa-
sed frequency of
use. Therefore we
re-commend that
the filter cartridge is
changed regularly
at least once a
month When you fit
a new filter cartridge, turn the
memory wheel (7) in the socket (6) to
the next month as a reminder to

change the filter again.
Replacement filter cartridges can be
obtained there where you bought the
appliance or can be ordered directly
from the manufacturer www.petra-

Important advice
• Use the water-filter-kettle with cold
tap water only.
• Do not put the water-filter-kettle in
direct sun light.
• If you do not use the kettle for a
long period of time, it is best to
store the filter cartridge packed in
a foil bag in the refrigerator. When
you put the kettle into operation
again, pour away the first filtered
water.
• Always store replacement filter
cartridges cool and dry and in the
original packing.
• The filtration raises the content of
the potassium in the drinking water.
Persons suffering from a kidney
complaint, dialysis patients or
other persons, who have to keep a
potassium diet, should ask their
doctor before drinking the filtered
water.
• The filter material in the cartridge
was treated with silver. This makes
it hygienically harmless for a longer
period of time. A small amount is
emitted in the water during the fil-
tration. This amount is far under
the target value determined in the
guidelines of the World Health
Organisation (WHO).
• Aqua Optima®filter cartridges are
regularly controlled by the world
health organisation NSF.
Water level indicator
The water level indicator is valid for
the operation with the Aqua Optima
filter cartridge up to the 1.0 litre mar-
king, marked with . If you fill the
filter container (1) up to the max mar-
king (5), the water is on the level of
approximately 1.0 litre marking after
the filtering. Please observe that the
water level does not exceed the 1.0
litre marking, marked with during
the filtering operation.
While the water runs through the fil-
ter, the kettle can immediately be
placed on its base and the operation
button on the top of the handle can
be switched to I. However, prior to
this, close the lid until it snaps – only
in this way the safety boil-dry cut-out
works reliably. The control lamp in
the operation button indicates that
the appliance is heating.
You can operate the kettle also with-
out the filter in order to quickly heat
up 1.7 litres of water at maximum.
For this, remove the filter container
(1) and fill the kettle to its full capaci-
ty up to the max marking.
For filling remove the kettle from
its base. Only fill with cold water,
never carbonated water or other
liquids like milk or similar.
During boiling a higher noise level is
to be expected due to the high vol-
tage. The water from the first boiling
is not suitable for food preparation.
Automatic boil stop
Shortly after the water has started to
boil, the appliance switches off auto-
matically and the control lamp extin-
guishes. If there is only little water in
the kettle the boiling period until
automatic switch off will be extended.
If only warm water is desired, the
heating process can be stopped at
any time by resetting the operation
switch to . If you want to boil hot
water again the appliance can be
switched on once again to I, after
some time.
Safety system
If the kettle is inadvertently switched
on without water, a thermostat pro-
tects the appliance from overheating
by switching it off.
In order to switch it on again the
kettle has to be removed from its
base so that the thermostat will reset
automatically. Before refilling with
water wait another 5 minutes until the
appliance has cooled down.
If the thermostat fails to work due to
inappropriate use, an additional tem-
perature cut-out ensures double
safety.
De-scaling
Ion exchanger in the Aqua Optima ®
Filter Cartridge cannot completely
remove chalk from tap water.
Therefore, by time, lime scale will
appear at the bottom of the kettle
causing loss of energy and can also
reduce the life time of the appliance.
If the lime scale is too thick, the
appliance switches off before the
water starts boiling. In this case it is
very difficult to remove the lime
scale. Therefore, the pot should be
regularly de-scaled with usual de-
scaling agents suitable for stainless
steel. Please refer to the user
instructions of the manufacturer.
Never allow the substance to boil,
otherwise it will foam over the top of
the kettle.
When de-scaling, the Aqua
Optima®Filter Cartridge has to
be removed.
After de-scaling rinse the kettle care-
fully with clear water. The guarantee
does not cover damages resulting
from non-keeping to the manufactu-
rer’s instructions.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning unplug the appliance.
Never immerse the kettle or the
base into water.
Rinse the inside of the kettle regularly
and clean the filter container and sieve
in mild dishwater.
Clean the outside with a damp cloth
only. Do not use any caustic or scou-
ring cleaning agents. The pot is made
from rust-resistant stainless steel. Any
iron moulds are only residues which
stick on the surface. They can be remo-
ved with a special cleansing agent for
stainless steel.

Causes for failures
· Appliance switches off before the
water is boiling:
The built up lime scale at the bot-
tom of the kettle is too thick or the
electric circuit of the socket is over-
loaded.
· The appliance does not switch
off: Close the lid until it snaps in.
The sieve is not placed correctly.
· Pouring the water out of the kett-
le is difficult:
De-scale the sieve.
· Appliance cannot be switched
on: After having used the applian-
ce without or with too little water,
the appliance has not yet cooled
down sufficiently with the thermost-
at still in place.
If the failure cannot be removed have
the appliance repaired.
For UK use only
• This product is supplied with a 13
A plug conforming to BS 1363 fit-
ted to the mains lead. If the plug is
unsuitable for your socket outlets
or needs to be replaced, please
note the following. If the plug is a
non-rewireable one, cut it from the
mains lead and immediately dispo-
se of it. Never insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a very
great risk of an electric shock.
• The replacement of the plug at the
mains lead has to be done accor-
ding to the following instructions:

As the colours of the wires in the
mains lead of this appliance may
not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals
in your plug, proceed as follows:
- the wire which is coloured green
and yellow must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with
the letter E or by the earth sym-

Avant l’utilisation
La bouilloire filtrante ne doit être uti-
lisée que dans le but prévu pour
celle-ci, conformément à ce mode
d’emploi. Lire attentivement le mode
d’emploi. Il comprend des informa-
tions importantes pour l’utilisation, le
nettoyage et l’entretien de l’appareil.
Dans le cas d´une utilisation non
conforme, notre responsabilité ne
sera pas engagée et nous n´assume-
rons aucun dommage.
Veuillez le conserver soigneusement
et, le cas échéant, le transmettre aux
utilisateurs qui s’en serviront ultérieu-
rement. Tenir compte des recomman-
dations de sécurité lors de son utili-
sation.
L´appareil n´est pas conçu pour un
emploi professionnel.
Le triangle de signalisation signa-
le les indications importantes de
sécurité. Merci de toujours les res-
pecter, sinon vous pourriez vous
blesser ou l´appareil pourrait être
endommagé.
L´emballage original a spécialement
été créé pour garantir un transport
sécurisé en cas de remplacement ou
réparation. Il doit être conservé soig-
neusement durant toute la période
de garantie.
Recommandations de sécurité
Brancher l´appareil uniquement
sur une prise de sécurité installée
selon les normes en vigueur. Le
courant doit être conforme aux
indications figurant sur la plaque
signalétique placée sous l´appareil.
Ne pas tirer le cordon sur des
bords acérés, ne pas le coincer,
ne pas le laisser pendre. Le
protéger de la chaleur et des
matières grasses.
Ne pas mettre l´appareil en mar-
che si l´appareil ou le câble est
défectueux. Dans ce cas, notre
service après-vente central ou
une personne compétente seront
à même de le changer. Des répa-
rations impropres peuvent causer
de graves dangers pour l´utilisateur.
Ne pas utiliser la bouilloire sans
son socle.
Ne pas mettre l´appareil en mar-
che ou le débrancher immédiate-
ment si l´appareil est défectueux
ou n´est pas étanche ou si
l´appareil a reçu un choc violent.
Dans tous ces cas, veuillez
remettre l´appareil au service de
réparation.
Ne pas mettre la bouilloire sur
des surfaces chaudes p. ex. pla-
ques de four etc. ou à proximité
d´une flamme, la matière pourrait
commencer à fondre. Ne pas
poser l´appareil sur des surfaces
sensibles à l´eau. Les éclabous-
sures pourraient l’ endommager.
Veiller à ce que les enfants
n´aient pas la possibilité de jouer
avec l´appareil.
Danger de brûlures par l´eau
chaude et la vapeur. Si l´appareil
est trop rempli, s´il est mis en
marche avec le couvercle ouvert
ou si on tire sur le câble pendant
l´opération, de l´eau bouillante
peut gicler à l’extérieur. Lorsque
la bouilloire est chaude, ne la sai-
sir que par la poignée et ne
jamais ouvrir le couvercle pour
verser l’eau.
Si vous n´utilisez pas la bouilloire
pendant longtemps, videz tou-
jours bien le pot et débranchez-la.
Mise en marche
Avant toute première utilisation, bien
nettoyer la bouilloire filtrante comme
décrit dans la section «Nettoyage et
entretien». Pour ouvrir le cou-
vercle, tirez le levier
dans le couvercle en
direction de la poig-
née. Vous pouvez
alors retirer le récipi-
ent filtre (1) en tirant
sur cette poignée. Quand vous ver-
sez l’eau, le tamis d´insertion situé
dans le bec verseur retient les parti-
cules de charbon actif venant de la
cartouche filtre ou les morceaux de
calcaire détachés de l´élément de
chauffe.
Pour le nettoyer, vous pouvez le reti-
rer en le tirant vers le haut. La partie
de câble de raccordement non uti-
lisée peut être enroulée dans le fond
du socle (6).
Branchez ensuite la fiche de contact
sur une prise de courant de sécurité.
Aqua Optima®cartouche filtre
La cartouche filtre Aqua Optima®
réduit le taux de calcaire de votre
eau du robinet ainsi que celui d´aut-
res matières indésirables comme par
ex. le chlore, le plomb ou le cuivre ce
qui améliore l´odeur, la couleur et le
goût des boissons et aliments, leurs
arômes pouvant alors se développer
de façon optimale.
Indication: Ceci n’a pas d’incidence
sur le taux de fluor ajouté dans le but
de lutter contre les caries.
Activation de la cartouche filtre
Sortez la cartouche filtre (4) de son
emballage et plongez-la dans l´eau
froide jusqu`à ce qu´aucune bulle n’
apparaisse plus. Veillez à ce que le
joint d’étanchéité (3)
soit monté sur le
récipient filtre (1)
comme indiqué sur
l´image. S’il ne reste
pas en place, placez
le face plate vers le bas sur l’empla-
cement de fixation situé sur le récipi-
ent filtre. Placez la cartouche
filtre (4) dans
l´emplacement situé
sur le récipient filtre
(1) et tournez-là à
l’inverse du sens
des aiguilles d´une
montre jusqu`à ce qu´elle soit
enclenchée.

Placez le récipient filtre (1) complet
dans la bouilloire et pressez le vers
le bas jusqu`à ce qu´il s’ enclenche
également. Une nouvelle car-
touche filtre doit
d´abord être rincée
deux fois avant utili-
sation. Pour cela,
remplissez le récipi-
ent filtre (1) d’eau
du robinet jusqu´à son marquage
max (5). Jetez l´eau filtrée puis rincez
la bouilloire. L´efficacité de la
cartouche filtre dimi-
nue au fur et à
mesure qu’elle est
utilisée. C´est pour-
quoi nous vous
recommandons de
la changer en général tous les mois.
Lorsque vous venez de changer la
cartouche filtre, placez le disque
mémoire (7) dans le socle (6) pour
rappel de changement le mois sui-
vant.

Conseils importants
• Utiliser la bouilloire filtrante unique-
ment avec de l’eau potable froide.
• Ne placez pas la bouilloire filtrante
en contact direct avec les rayons
du soleil.
• Si l’ appareil n’ est pas utilisé pen-
dant longtemps, il est préférable
de placer la cartouche au réfrigé-
rateur, emballée dans un sachet.
Quand vous réutiliserez la
bouilloire, jetez la première eau
qui aura été filtrée.
• Les cartouches filtres de rechange
doivent être stockées dans un
endroit frais et sec et dans leur
emballage d’origine.
• Le fait de filtrer augmente la
teneur en potassium de l’eau pota-
ble. Les personnes souffrant des
reins, les malades dialysés ou les
personnes devant faire un régime
au potassium doivent demander
conseil à leur médecin traitant
avant de boire l’eau qui aura été
filtrée.
• Le matériau du filtre dans la car-
touche a été traité à l’argent pour
garantir une hygiène durable. Une
faible quantité de dépose donc
dans l’ eau pendant le filtrage.
Cette quantité est très en dessous
de la quantité autorisée par les
directives de l’Organisation
Mondiale de la Santé (OMS)….
• Les cartouches filtrantes Aqua
Optima®sont contrôlées régulière-
ment par l’organisme de santé
NSF.
L´indicateur du niveau d’eau
Quand il fonctionne avec la cartou-
che filtre Aqua Optima ®, l’ indicateur
montre le niveau jusqu’au marquage
1,0 litre . Si vous remplissez le
récipient filtre (1) jusqu`au marquage
max (5), l´eau se trouvera, après le
filtrage, à peu près au niveau du
marquage 1,0 litre. Lors du filtrage,
faites attention à ce que le niveau
d´eau ne dépasse pas le marquage
1,0 litre .
Vous pouvez alors immédiatement
mettre la bouilloire sur le socle et pla-
cer l’interrupteur sur Imême si l´eau
s´écoule encore par le filtre. Fermez
cependant bien le couvercle jusqu´à
ce qu´il s´enclenche car c’est seule-
ment ainsi que le système d’arrêt
automatique fonctionnera avec fiabilité.
Le témoin lumineux indique que
l´appareil chauffe.
Vous pouvez également faire fonc-
tionner l´appareil sans le filtre pour
pouvoir chauffer rapidement jusqu`à
1,7 litre d´eau. Pour ce faire, ôtez le
récipient filtre (1) et remplissez la
bouilloire jusqu`au marquage max.
Ôtez la bouilloire du socle pour la
remplir. Ne la remplir qu’avec
l´eau fraîche, ne jamais la remplir
avec de l´eau gazeuse ou d´aut-
res liquides comme par ex. lait
etc.
En raison de sa puissance, l’appareil
fait du bruit en fonctionnant. Ne pas
utiliser l’eau bouillie pour la première
fois pour préparer des aliments.
Arrêt automatique
Dès que l’eau bout, l’arrêt automa-
tique met l’appareil hors circuit, le
témoin lumineux s’éteint. S’il n’y a
que peu d’eau dans le pot, l’appareil
mettra plus de temps à s’éteindre. Si
l’on ne désire que de l’eau chaude,
le chauffage peut être interrompu à
tout moment en replaçant l’interrup-
teur de fonctionnement sur . Si
vous désirez ensuite que l’eau chau-
de bouille de nouveau, il suffit de
remettre l’appareil en marche en
replaçant l’interrupteur sur I.
Système de sécurité
Un thermostat protège la bouilloire
contre les surchauffes en arrêtant
l’appareil automatiquement s’il a été
mis en marche par inadvertance
sans eau à l’intérieur. L’interrupteur
est mis automatiquement sur - 0-.
Pour remettre la bouilloire en mar-
che, il faut tout d’abord l’ôter du
socle, afin que le thermostat se
remettre en place. Laisser la bouilloi-
re refroidir impérativement 5 minutes
avant de remettre de l’eau. Si, lors
d’un maniement non conforme, le
premier thermostat ne devait pas
fonctionner, un limiteur de tempéra-
ture supplémentaire se charge d’une
protection fiable.
Détartrage
L´échangeur ionique dans la cartou-
che filtre Aqua Optima ® ne peut éli-
miner complètement le calcaire de
l´eau du robinet. C´est pourquoi des
dépôts calcaires se forment après un
certain temps sur les résistances.
Ces dépôts calcaires au fond du pot
provoquent des pertes d’énergie et
peuvent influer sur la durée de vie de

la bouilloire. L’appareil s’arrête avant
l’ébullition si ces dépôt sont trop
importants. Dans ce cas il sera très
difficile de les enlever. C´est pour-
quoi l’appareil doit être détartré régu-
lièrement avec un détartrant courant
adapté au revêtement en acier con-
formément aux indications du fabri-
cant. Ne laisser en aucun cas la
solution bouillir car elle mousse.
La cartouche filtre Aqua Optima®
doit être ôtée avant le détartrage.
Une fois le détartrage terminé, rincer
correctement à l’eau claire.
La garantie ne couvre pas les détéri-
orations provoquées par le non-res-
pect de ces recommandations.
Nettoyage et entretien
Débrancher l’appareil avant de le
nettoyer.
Ne jamais plonger le pot et le socle
dans l’eau.
Rincez régulièrement l’intérieur du pot
et nettoyez le récipient filtre et le tamis
avec de l’eau de rinçage douce.
Ne nettoyer l’extérieur du pot
qu’avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas
utiliser de détergents abrasifs.
Le pot de chauffe est fabriqué en
acier inoxydable. Si des taches de
rouille apparaissent, il ne s’agit en
fait que de dépôts qui collent sur la
surface. Les enlever à l’aide d’un
produit nettoyant.
Causes de perturbations
· L’appareil s’arrête avant l’ébullition.
Il y a trop de dépôts calcaires au
fond du pot ou le circuit électrique
est surchargé.
· L’appareil ne s’arrête pas.
Fermez le couvercle jusqu’à ce
qu’il s’enclenche ou le tamis n´est
pas placé correctement.
· Le versement de l’eau se fait dif-
ficilement
Détartrer le tamis.
· L’appareil ne se met pas en mar-
che. Après une utilisation sans eau
ou avec trop peu d’eau, l’appareil
n’est pas assez refroidi. Le ther-
mostat n`est pas encore remis en
place.
Si vous n’arrivez pas à régler ces
perturbations en suivant ces indica-
tions, donnez l’appareil à réparer.
L’appareil répond aux directives CE no
73/23 EWG et no 89/336 EWG.
Quand il n'est plus utilisable
(fin de vie), vous ne devez
pas jeter ce produit avec les
ordures ménagères mais le
remettre au point de recycla-
ge des appareils électriques et élec-
troniques le plus proche (ou déchet-
terie). Si vous avez besoin de détails

Il bollitore di acqua con filtro deve
essere usato solamente per scopi
previsti dalle istruzioni per l’uso.
Leggere perciò attentamente dette
istruzioni, queste danno indicazioni
per l’uso, la manutenzione e la pulizia
dell’apparecchio.
In caso non venissero osservate
queste istruzioni, non assumiamo
nessuna garanzia per danni che ne
potrebbero subentrare. Conservare
accuratamente dette istruzioni e, in
caso, passarle ad ulteriori utenti
insieme all’apparecchio. Osservare
pure le informazioni di garanzia che
si trovano alla fine delle istruzioni.
L’apparecchio non è previsto per
uso industriale.
L’imballaggio originale è concepi-
to in modo che possa garantire, in
caso di bisogno, un trasporto sicuro;
conservarlo perciò almeno fino alla
scadenza della garanzia.
Avvertenze di sicurezza
Inserire l’apparecchio solamente
ad una presa di corrente di sicu-
rezza regolarmente installata. Il
voltaggio deve essere identico a
quello riportato sulla targhetta-

Non incastrare il cavo e preser-
varlo da parti taglienti, da umidità,

Non usare l’apparecchio o stac-
carlo subito dalla presa di corren-
te se fosse danneggiato, avesse
una perdita, o in caso di una
caduta, potesse essere difettoso.
Se così portarlo a fare riparare.
Non mettere il bollitore d’acqua
su piani caldi come p.e. piastre
elettriche o vicino a fiamme di
gas scoperte perché altrimenti la
base potrebbe fondersi. Neppure
piani sensibili all’acqua sono adatti
per appoggiare l’apparecchio per-
ché potrebbe venire rovinato
dagli spruzzi.
Fare attenzione che i bambini non
abbiano la possibilità di giocare
con l’apparecchio.
Pericolo di scottature che posso-
no venire causate dall’acqua bol-
lente o da vapore.
In caso l’apparecchio venisse
riempito troppo o usato con il
coperchio aperto o durante l’uso
venisse tirato per il cavo, potrebbe
spruzzare fuori dell’acqua bollen-
te. Prendere il bollitore d’acqua
bollente solo per l’impugnatura e
versando l’acqua non aprire il
coperchio.
Se il bollitore restasse inattivo per
lungo tempo, versare fuori com-
pletamente l’acqua contenuta e
staccarne il cavo dalla presa di
corrente.
Messa in funzione
Prima del primo uso pulire il bollitore-
acqua con filtro come descritto nella
voce “Pulizia e Cura”.
Tirare verso l’impug-
natura il tasto inseri-
to nel coperchio, il
contenitore del filtro
(1) lo si può estrarre
prendendolo per la
sua presa (2). L’ele-
mento-filtro nel beccuccio di versa-
mento trattiene, versando, particelle
di carbone attivo del filtro come pure
parti calcaree staccatesi dal riscalda-
mento. Per pulirlo estrarlo verso l’alto.
La lunghezza del cavo non occorren-
te può restare avvolta nella parte-
basamento (6). Ora inserire la spina
in una presa di corrente di sicurezza.
Filtro di Aqua Optima®
Il filtro di acqua Optima®riduce il cal-
care e altre sostanze indesiderate
come p.e. cloro, piombo e rame che
si trovano nell’acqua di rubinetto.
Odore, colore e sapore delle vivande
e cibi vengono migliorati poiché le
sostanze aromatiche possono svilup-
parsi ottimamente.
Indicazione: Fluoruri aggiuntivi per
una profilassi delle carie non vengo-
no ridotti.
Attivazione del filtro
Togliere il filtro (4) dalla confezione,
metterlo in acqua fredda e agitarlo
fino a quando non si formeranno più
bollicine. Fare attenzione che
la guarnizione (3) al
contenitore-filtro (1)
sia montata come
nell’illustrazione.
In caso si fosse
mossa, metterla con
la parte piatta in basso sulle alette di
fissaggio del contenitore-filtro.
Mettere la cartuccia-
filtro (4) nell’apertu-
ra del contenitore-fil-
tro (1) e girarlo in
senso orario fino a
quando sarà ben
incastrato. Ora intro-
durre il contenitore-filtro completo nel
bollitore d’acqua e pressarlo verso il
basso fino a quando si incastrerà.
Un nuovo filtro deve
venire dapprima ris-
ciacquato due volte.
Riempire il conteni-
tore-filtro con acqua
di rubinetto fino al
contrassegno mas-
simo (5). Buttare via l’acqua filtrata e
risciacquare per ultimo il bollitore.
L’effetto del filtro
diminuisce più viene
usato. Vi consiglia-
mo perciò di cambi-
arlo regolarmente 1

volta al mese. Quando viene inserita
una nuova cartuccia-filtro, posiziona-
re la rotellamemo (7) che si trova sul
basamento (6) per ricordarsi la data
di ricambio del prossimo mese.
Le cartucce usate si possono elimi-
nare nei rifiuti domestici.
Cartucce-filtro di ricambio si possono
trovare nel negozio dove è stato
acquistato l’apparecchio o si possono
ordinare direttamente al fabbricante

Informazioni importanti
• Usare il bollitore d’acqua con filtro
solamente con acqua fredda.
• Non mettere il bollitore direttamen-
te esposto ai raggi del sole.
• In caso il bollitore non venisse
usato per lungo tempo, togliere la
cartuccia-filtro e conservarla in fri-
gorifero avvolta in un sacchetto di
plastica. Quando il bollitore verrà
nuovamente usato, eliminare la
prima acqua filtrata.
• Cartucce-filtro nuove conservarle
nella confezione originale al fresco
e all’asciutto.
• Usando il filtro, viene aumentata la
quantità di potassio nell’acqua
potabile. Persone ammalate di
reni, pazienti di dialisi o altre per-
sone che devono osservare una
dieta di potassio, devono chiedere
il parere al proprio medico prima di
usare questa acqua filtrata.
• Il materiale del filtro nella cartuccia
è stato trattato con argento per
garantire una lunga e durevole
igienica assenza di rischi. Usando
il filtro, una minima parte viene
emessa nell’acqua. Questa quan-
tità è molto più al di sotto dei valori
fissati dalle norme dell’organizza-
zione mondiale della sanità
(WHO).
• Le cartucce-filtro di Aqua-Optima®
vengono regolarmente controllate
dell’organizzazione della sanità
NSF.
Indicazione livello d’acqua
Per l’uso dell’apparecchio con il filtro
Aqua Optima®è valida l’indicazione
livello d’acqua fino al segno di 1 litro
contrassegnato con . Se si riem-
pie il porta-filtro fino al contrassegno
massimo (5), l’acqua si trova, dopo il
filtro, circa intorno al contrassegno di
1 litro. Fare attenzione che, usando il
filtro, il livello d’acqua non superi il
contrassegno di 1 litro. Si può mette-
re il bollitore d’acqua subito sul basa-
mento e posizionare il tasto di accen-
sione sopra l’impugnatura su I anche
se l’acqua passa ancora attraverso il
filtro. Chiudere però prima il coperchio
fino a quando si incastra, solo così
può funzionare, con affidabilità, il dis-
positivo automatico di stop-bollitura.
La lampadina di controllo nell’impug-
natura indica che l’apparecchio ri-
scalda.
Per riempire il bollitore d’acqua,
toglierlo prima dal basamento.
Riempirlo solo con acqua di rubi-
netto fredda, mai con acqua
minerale o altri liquidi come latte
o altro.
Durante la bollitura c’è da aspettarsi
un’alta formazione rumorosa causata
dall’alto consumo di potenza.
L’acqua del primo ciclo di bollitura
non è adatta alla preparazione di cibi.
Spegnimento automatico
Poco dopo che l’acqua bolle, il dispo-
sitivo di spegnimento automatico di
bollitura spegne l’apparecchio, la
lampadina di controllo si spegne. In
caso venisse riscaldata poca acqua,
l’acqua bolle più a lungo prima dello
spegnimento automatico.
In caso si volesse solo acqua calda,
si può in ogni momento spegnere
l’apparecchio mettendo il tasto di
accensione sullo . Se si volesse
dopo un po’ di tempo nuovamente far
ribollire l’acqua, basta rimettere il
tasto di accensione su I.
Sistema di sicurezza
Un termostato preserva il bollitore da
surriscaldamento in caso venisse
fatto funzionare senza acqua. Per
poterlo riaccendere bisogna primo
levarlo dal basamento, in questo
modo il termostato viene spostato in
dietro. Prima di riempirlo di acqua in-
terporre assolutamente una pausa di
raffredda-mento di ca. 5 minuti.
In caso il primo termostato dovesse
non funzionare a causa di uso inap-
propriato, un ulteriore limitatore di
temperatura provvede per una sicura
protezione.
Decalcificazione
Lo scambiatore di ioni nella cartuc-
cia-filtro Aqua Optima®non è in
grado di eliminare completamente il
calcare contenuto nell’acqua del rubi-
netto. Con il tempo si formano perciò
residui sulla parte riscaldamento e
ciò porta a perdita di energia e riduce
il tempovita dell’apparecchio.
L’apparecchio spegne prima della
bollitura se lo strato calcare è troppo
forte ed è anche molto difficile elimi-
narlo. Il bollitore deve perciò essere
regolarmente trattato con un prodotto
anticalcare d’uso commerciale che
sia adatto per acciaio inossidabile.
Osservare le indicazioni per l’uso
della casa produttrice. Non fare bolli-
re la soluzione altrimenti trabocca.
Durante la fase di decalcificazio-
ne, la cartuccia-filtro Aqua
Optima®deve venire tolta del bol-
litore. Dopo la decalcificazione
risciacquare bene il bollitore con
acqua pulita.
Danni, causati dalla non osservanza
di queste indicazioni, non fanno parte
delle prestazioni di garanzia.
Pulizia e cura
Staccare la spina dalla presa di cor-
rente prima della pulizia.
Non immergere mai in acqua né il
bollitore né il basamento.
Risciacquare regolarmente il bollitore

e pulire con acqua di sciacquatura
delicata il porta-filtro e elemento-filtro.
La parte esterna dell’apparecchio
deve essere pulita solo con uno
straccio umido. Non usare detersivi
forti o abrasivi.
L’apparecchio è in acciaio inossidabile.
In caso apparissero macchie di rug-
gine, queste sono solo residui calcari
molto aderenti in superficie e posso-
no venire eliminate pulendole con un
prodotto per acciaio.
Cause di disturbi
· L’apparecchio si spegne prima
che l’acqua bolla
La parte-riscaldamento ha troppi
residui calcarei o il circuito elettrico
della presa di corrente è sovraccari-
co.
· L’apparecchio non si spegne
Chiudere il coperchio fino a che si
incastra.
L’elemento-filtro non è messo cor-
rettamente.
· Dal bollitore non si può versare
bene l’acqua
Decalcificare l’elemento-filtro.
· L’apparecchio non si accende
L’apparecchio è stato usato senza
acqua o con poca acqua e non si è
ancora raffreddato completamente.
Il termostato non è ancora ritornato
indietro.
In caso questi disturbi non si elimi-
nassero da soli, bisogna portare
l’apparecchio a far riparare.
Questo apparecchio corrisponde alle
norme EU n°.73/23 EWG e n°. 89/336

non è più usabile, non deve
venire gettato nei rifiuti casa-
linghi ma portato in un punto
di raccolta di riciclaggio per
apparecchi elettrici e elettronici.
