operate this equipment and before connecting the power supply.
Please keep the following in mind as you unpack and install this
equipment:
• Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fi re,
electrical shock and injury to persons.

moisture or install this product near water.
• Never spill liquid of any kind on or into this product.
• Never push an object of any kind into this product through any

1. INTRODUCTION
The HDMI™ 4K x 2K Audio Inserter lets you insert an external audio
signal into your HDMI or DVI (with HDMI to DVI adaptor) signal path.
The unit allows you to insert stereo or multi-channel surround sound
signals to give users the capability to select audio formats while
extending your HDMI signal. Further, both input and output HDMI
support HD resolution up to 3D and 4K x 2K allowing a full enjoyment
over synchronize video and audio.

1. INTRODUCTION
The HDMI™ 4K x 2K Audio Inserter lets you insert an external audio
signal into your HDMI or DVI (with HDMI to DVI adaptor) signal path.
The unit allows you to insert stereo or multi-channel surround sound
signals to give users the capability to select audio formats while
extending your HDMI signal. Further, both input and output HDMI
support HD resolution up to 3D and 4K x 2K allowing a full enjoyment

Note: When displaying HDMI 4Kx2K signal, equivalent source signal,
output display and HDMI cables are required in order to secure the
best image display.

player or PC/laptop with HDMI signal sending.

Audio in selection allows users to select among 3 of different audio
input options. Switch among the original HDMI audio, Digital audio
(Optical) and Analog stereo (L/R).

Plug with 5V DC power adaptor from the AC wall outlet for power
supply.

Warranty
Premium High Definition Solutions warrants that (a) its products will perform substantially in
accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of 1 year from the date of receipt
and (b) that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
and service for a period of 1 year. In the event applicable law imposes any implied warranties, the
implied warranty period is limited to 1 year from the date of receipt.
Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above
limitation may not apply to customers that fall within those areas.
Customer
Remedies
Premium High Definition Solutions ’ and its suppliers’ entire liability and Customer’s exclusive
remedy shall be, at Premium High Definition Solutions ’ decision, either return of the price paid for
the product, repair, or replacement of the product that does not meet this Limited Warranty and
which is returned to Premium High Definition Solutions with a copy of the Customer’s receipt.
This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the product has resulted from accident, abuse,
misapplication, or natural occurrence. In example but not limited to: power surges (electrical
storms, local power outage, Electro Static Discharge (ESD), dropping the product (or items on the
product), contact with fluids, and physical misconduct (i.e. kicking or punching). Any replacement
product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
No
other
warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Premium High Definition Solutions and its
suppliers disclaim all other warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the product and
any related written materials. This Limited Warranty gives customer specific legal rights.
Customers may have other rights depending on the jurisdiction.
No
liability
for
damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Premium High Definition
Solutions or its suppliers be liable for any damages arising out of the use of or inability to use this
product, even if Premium High Definition Solutions has been advised of the possibility of such
damages. Such damages include but are not limited to: special, incidental, consequential, or
indirect damages for personal injury, loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of
business information, or any other pecuniary loss. Premium High Definition Solutions’ and its
suppliers’ entire liability under any provision of this agreement shall be limited to the amount
actually paid by you for the product. Some Jurisdictions do not allow may not apply to you in such
jurisdictional cases.

PhD Solutions Product Warranty
Should you feel your product does not function adequately due to defects in materials or
workmanship, PhD Solutions (hereby referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length of the
period
indicated below:
a)
Repair the product with new or
refurbished parts.
or
b)
Replace it with a new or refurbished product.
Limited Warranty Period
Commencing from the original date of purchase, all PhD Solutions products are covered by a
one
year PARTS and LABOUR warranty depending on the product.
Please contact your PhD Solutions dealer for details.
During this period there will be no charge for unit repair, replacement of parts, unit
components or
replacement of product if necessary. The decision to repair or replace will be
made by the warrantor.
The purchaser must mail-in or return the product to PhD Solutions
during the warranty period.
This limited warranty only covers the product purchased as new and is extended to the
original
purchaser only. It is non-transferable to subsequent owners, even during the
warranty period.
A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date is required for the limited warranty
service.
IF REPAIR IS NEEDED DURING THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD THE PURCHASER
WILL BE
REQUIRED TO PRODUCE A SALES RECEIPT/PROOF OF PURCHASE
INDICATING DATE OF
PURCHASE, AMOUNT PAID AND PLACE OF PURCHASE.
Please note: THE CUSTOMER WILL BE CHARGED FOR PARTS OR REPAIR
OF
ANY UNIT RECEIVED WITHOUT SUCH PROOF OF PURCHASE.

Product Service Provided
1.
Damage requiring service
All units should be serviced by a PhD Solutions qualified service person.:

Servicing Personnel
Do not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in these operating instructions.
Refer all
other servicing to authorised PhD Solutions servicing personnel.
Return to Supplier
When shipping the unit, carefully pack and send it prepaid (preferably in the original packaging)
with a
tracking number and adequate insurance. Please include a document or letter detailing
the reason for
return and include a daytime telephone number and/or email address where you
can be contacted.
If repair is required during the limited warranty period, the purchaser will be required to
provide a
sales receipt or other proof of purchase, indicating date and location of purchase as
well as the price
paid for the product. The customer will be charged for the repair or
replacement of any unit received
unless such information is provided.
Warranty Limits and Exclusions
1.
This Limited Warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or
workmanship and
DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.
The limited warranty also DOES NOT COVER damage that occurs in shipment or failures
caused by
products not supplied by the warrantor.
Failures resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication,
alteration,
incorrect installation, set-up adjustment, implementation of/to consumer controls,
improper
maintenance, power line surge, lightening damage, Electro static discharge (ESD)
,modification,
service by anyone other than a manufacturer-approved service center or
factory-authorised
personnel, or damage attributable to acts of God.

There are no express warranties except as listed under “limited warranty coverage.” The
warrantor
is not liable for incidental or consequential damage resulting from the use of this
product or arising out
of any breach of this warranty.

For example: damage for lost time, the cost of having a person/persons remove or re-
install
previously installed equipment, travel to and from service location, loss of or
damage to
media, images, data or other recorded/stored content.
ANY PARTS AND SERVICE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER.
