This WXGA display with state-of-the-art LCD screen
technology gives you widescreen HD resolution of 1366 x
768p pixels. It produces brilliant flicker-free progressive
scan pictures with optimum brightness and superb colors.
This vibrant and sharp image will provide you with an
enhanced viewing experience.
Digital Cable Ready
The CableCARD is a removable card distributed by the
cable providers that is inserted in the TV. This enables the
“Plug-and-Play DTV” functionality as agreed between
cable operators and consumer electronics manufacturers.
It allows the decoding of encrypted or scrambled content
delivered from the cable system. CableCARD functionality
includes conditional access and copy protection. A
CableCARD-enabled television without a CableCARD
inserted receives high-definition standard TV broadcasts.
When a CableCARD is inserted, the television receives
high-value high-definition, cable programming.
Pixel Plus 3 HD
Pixel Plus 3 HD offers the unique combination of ultimate
sharpness, natural detail, vivid colors and smooth natural
motion on all qualities of HD, standard TV signals and
multimedia content, for high definition displays. Each pixel
of the incoming picture is enhanced to better match the
surrounding pixels, resulting in a more natural picture.
Artifacts and noise in all sources from multimedia to
standard TV and also in highly compressed HD are
detected and reduced ensuring that the picture is clean
and razor sharp.
Clear LCD
Clear LCD gives you clear and vibrant images even with
fast on-screen motion. The scanning backlight technology
increases the sharpness of motion reproduction. This
unique Philips technology using high refresh rates to
eliminate any field flicker and retains the superb
quietness of LCD technology. It is combined with a new
backlight module resulting in a high contrast with larger
viewing angle. This provides you with the best display for
the ultimate viewing experience.
Ambilight Full Surround
Ambilight 4 makes an impressive contribution to the
overall viewing experience and the design of the TV. It
produces a fully surrounding glow of light that
complements the colors and light intensity on all 4 sides
of the image and with the unique design creates a
'floating display'. The Ambilight is cast onto a refelective
area that is an integrated part of the TV's unique design
and makes it independent from TV position or mounting.
The surrounding glow creates ambiance, stimulates more
relaxed viewing, improves perceived picture detail,
contrast and color, and will completely immerse you.
Lambda/4 sound system
You want a deeper sound experience in music and
movies. The integrated subwoofer with lambda/4
technology creates a very deep and powerfull bass in a
highly compact enclosure, keeping the TV slim and flat.
The lambda/4 subwoofer unit utilizes resonating acoustic
masses in a system of ducts to produce powerfull bass
with low distortion. The lambda/4 sound system,
combined with high quality midrange and tweeters also
gives a very spacious stereo image.
