Important
• This product can only be used with a car power input of 12V.
• This product can only be used in headlights with H4
halogen lamps.
Before you install the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp, please read
through the following information carefully.

• Prior to installation, please make sure that the LED-HL
[≈H4] Ultinon lamp does not have defects such as
damage or rupture.
m Warnings
• When working, the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp and body will
be at a very high with temperature. Do not touch them
directly ngers or skin, to avoid scalding.
Usable with: Reector headlights

• The LED illumination of the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp is of
high intensity; do not look directly at the LED-HL [≈H4]
lamp, to avoid eye damage.
• Before you remove the halogen H4 lamp, make sure
that the lamp’s temperature has dropped to room
temperature, to avoid burning ngers or skin.
• Do not let the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp become exposed
to dust, grease or stains, or scratch the surface of the
LED; this will dam- age the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp.
• Do not let children touch the LED-HL [≈H4] product.
• Please make sure that you purchase the Philips LED-HL
[≈H4] lamp through the correct channels.
• After the lamp is installed, please check if the light
pattern is okay, and make sure that the indicators on
the dash board are working normally and that nothing
is abnormal.
• After the lamp is installed, please check whether the
air-tight cover is properly sealed to avoid undesirable
sealing; and whether the control box and the wiring har-
ness are rmly in place, and not interfering with other
parts inside the lamp or the fan above the lamp.
m Other Information

• Ensure that there is at least 70mm of space behind the
headlight xture and that the xture has a diameter of
60mm as shown in Figure 1.
Pre-installation Information
• The LED-HL [≈H4] lamp is not for use with all types of
cars. Please consult a professional sales representative.
• Please have a technician at a professional service
location install the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp.
• If it is found, after the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp is installed,
that there is no cut-off line for the low-beam light
pattern, please switch back to your previous halogen
H4 lamp.
• Applicable car types: Please refer to the overview of
applicable cars.

• 5.1 Ensure that the light xture has a gasket seal and a
metal spring or similar attachment mechanism. Use the
metal spring to attach the bulb as shown in Figure 2.
5Installation steps for lamps
• 5.2 Take the original bulb and gasket out of the light xture.
• 5.3 Unscrew the heat sink from the LED4 headlight,and
take out the heatsink from the burner and connector as
shown in Figure 3.

• 5.4 Attach the LED4 burner into the bayonet of the light
xture as shown in Figure 4.
• 5.5 Attach the metal spring.
• 5.6 Assemble the gasket on the LED4 burner and
ensure it is in the correct position as shown in Figure 5.
• 5.7 Adjust the heat sink into the correct position until it
cannot rotate further as shown in Figure 6. Ensure that
the air inlet channel for the heat sink is not blocked.

• 5.8 Connect the power connector as shown in Figure 7.
• 5.9 Fixing the wire harness with plastic cable tie.
• 5.10 Check that the high and low beams of the LED4
headlight bulb both function correctly.
• 5.11 If the beams are positioned too high or too low,
adjust the light axis to an appropriate position as needed.
• 5.12 Store the original H4 bulb and the LED4
headlight instruction manual in a safe place.
• 5.13 The low beam should finally be equipped with the
clear bright-dark cut-off line shown in the lower left
figure; left figure for left drive vehicle, right figure for
right drive vehicle.

Do not discard this product carelessly. Certain
substances in the electronic elements can be
harmful for the environ-ment and humans.
7Recycling
If the LED-HL [≈H4] lamp does not turn on, please check
if any of the following conditions exists:
1. Are the positive and negative power connectors
properly connected?
2. Check if the power switch for the lamp is turned on.
3. Make sure that there is sufcient power in the battery.
