1. Safety instructions
Important!
• If you are installing this product for someone else, remember to leave the manual or a copy of it
with the end user.
Warning:
• The various components should be dismantled by an authorised technician only.
• The camera uses precision electronics. Do not move the camera motor by hand.
Safety precautions:
• To operate this system in complete safety, it is essential that installers, users and technicians
follow all the safety procedures described in this manual.
• Specic warnings and warning symbols are given for components where necessary.

3.Overview

WelcomeEye View / V1 3
This camera is designed to provide security and an external monitoring point for users of the Philips
WelcomeEye application and ecosystem. Whether you are absent or simply operating it remotely,
it enables you to control, dissuade and reassure, whatever the circumstances, light or weather
conditions.
For eective usage, please carefully read this instruction manual.

Importantnotesandadvice:
• Warning: For obvious safety reasons, all connections must be made with the power
disconnected (protection circuit breaker in the OFF position).
• Before installation, you are advised to check that your WiFi network signal is accessible and of
sucient quality in the place where you wish to install your camera.
• If you are testing the camera before installation, we recommend that you switch o the motion
and gure detection function to prevent the camera motor from moving when you install it in its
nal location (the camera has a battery backup).
• The installation and use of the camera must comply with current laws.
• The camera power supply is 100 - 240 V 50 Hz.

1. Cut o the power supply (safety switch to the OFF position).
2. Using the tool provided, unscrew the screw under the base at the back of the camera.
Important: it is normal for the screw to retract when you unscrew it.
3. Remove the base from the camera.
4. On the wall, mark the location of the 4 holes for wall mounting and the position of the power
cable. The optimum height for installing the camera is between 2.20 and 2.40 metres.
5. Drill the holes. The screws and plugs supplied are suitable for solid material; you may need to
adapt the fastening to your particular substrate.
6. Screw the wall plate securely to the wall, passing the electrical cable through the centre. If the
wall surface is uneven, insert the sheet of foam supplied between the base and the wall.

7. The terminal block of the camera can be unclipped to make installation easier.
8. Connect your camera to the mains (L IN = 230 V phase / N IN = 230 V neutral / Earth must not be
connected) as shown. If you wish, you can connect a 230 V AC light (L OUT = 230 V phase / N OUT
= 230 V neutral) to your light in order to control it using your camera, its motion detection or the
Philips WelcomeEye application. The lighting power should not exceed 1000 W.
9. Once wiring is complete, reclip the terminal block to your camera.
10. Hang the top of your camera on the base on the wall.
11. Place the camera on the wall and then tighten the screw onto the base to secure the camera to
the wall.
12. You can now reconnect the power supply and continue setting up the camera.

6. Setting up
6.1. Installation and linking
Note: the screenshots below are from the
Android version of the application. The iOS
version is identical.
Download the PhilipsWelcomeEye application
on your iPhone or Android smartphone.

Then launch the application:
If you do not already have a Philips WelcomeEye
account, click on "Create an account".
Enter your full name, a valid email address
and the password of your choice and click on
"Create an account".
An automatic email is sent to your email
address for conrmation.
Enter the 6-digit code provided in the email to
continue, tick the box and then click on "Create
an account".
If the automatic email is not received after
one minute, check the junk mail folder in your
mailbox.

Once account creation is complete,
click on OK:
The list of products linked to an account
appears.
Click on the icon to continue.
Your Bluetooth must be activated.
If you have not already connected the camera
to your WiFi network, click "Mydeviceisnot
connected to the Internet at this time".
Select the WelcomeEye View camera from the
list of products compatible with the application:
At this point your camera should be powered
up and ready to be linked. If not, reset as
instructed (by pressing and holding the reset
button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep and
then a melody) and wait until the camera is
ready. The camera emits 2 sets of 5 beeps when
it is ready to proceed.
Then click on "Next” .

Your smartphone will detect nearby devices
waiting to be congured. Detection only takes a
few seconds, so move closer to the camera if it is
not detected by the smartphone.
Tick your camera then click “Add".
Select the WiFi network that the camera will
use and manually enter the WiFi key for your
internet box or router. Click “Next”.
Your smartphone transmits the information
to the camera and the camera connects to
the Internet. The camera will play a melody
indicating that it has received the information
from your smartphone.
Important: If a password is entered incorrectly,
the camera will make an error noise and restart.
Please restart the conguration from the initial
step. It will not need to be reset.
The camera has been detected by your
smartphone on the Internet. Enter your name
of choice for the camera and click “Save”.
