Congratulations on your purchase of the Sound
Ambassador expansion speakers for the Sound
Ambassador Deluxe Portable PA Systems� Available
in passive and active models, the SoundAmbassador
expansion speakers transform your single speaker
SoundAmbassador PAsystem into a 2, 3 or 4 speaker
system, depending on your needs� There are limitless
setup possibilities with the addition of one or more of
these expansion speakers�

1. Input Connector
This balanced 1/4” input can receive line-level signals
from external devices, including the Sound Ambassa-
dor 35, 75 or 120 Deluxe� Connect the line output of
your Sound Ambassador Deluxe unit to this input to
create a dual mono PAsystem�
2. Output Connector
This balanced line-level output can be used to con-
nect to external devices, including ampliers, active
speakers or other active Sound Ambassador expan-
sion speakers�
3. Volume Control
Use this control to adjust the output level of the Sound
Ambassador active expansion speaker�
4. Speaker Output
The signal sent from this output is taken from the ac-
tive Sound Ambassador’s built-in amplier and is able
to power external passive speakers, such as the pas-
sive Sound Ambassador expansion speakers�
The Sound Ambassador 40A uses a serial connec-
tion, whereas the Sound Ambassador 80A and 125A
use parallel connections for speaker out�
5. LED Indicators
Users will nd 3 LED indicators on the Sound Ambas-
sador 80A and 125A. The top LED will ash red when
the system’s built-in batteries are charging and turn
green when full. The center LED will ash in red when
the unit is charging and the lower LED will illuminate in
blue when the unit is activated�
The Sound Ambassador 40A features 2 LEDs� The
top LED will illuminate in red when the built-in bat-
tery is low and should be charged, and the lower LED
indicates the current charging status� If the LED is
ashing, the unit’s battery is currently charging; if the
LED is illuminated in green, the battery is full�
6. DC Power Input
Use the DC power input to operate the SoundAmbas-
sador on 24 to 30V of DC Power (at 4�5 amps) from
either an external power supply or external batteries
(for example, two 12V batteries)� This feature is found
on the Sound Ambassador 80A and 125A only)�
7. Power Switch
Turn the Sound Ambassador on or off with this
switch�
8. AC Power Inlet and Fuse Holder
ThisAC power receptacle is used to power the Sound
Ambassador 80A or 125A and charge the built-in bat-
tery� Ensure the Battery Power & Charging switch is
in the ‘ON’ position to charge the battery�
The fuse that is held just below this inlet should be
replaced with an identical fuse in the unlikely event
that it blows�
The Sound Ambassador 40A uses a gure 8 connec-
tor that can be used to connect to the included power
supply� This can be used for operating the unit and
charging the built-in battery� Once again, it’s impor-
tant to ensure the Battery Power & Charging Switch is
set to the ‘ON’ position�

Passive ‘P’ Models
1. Input Connector
This connector can be used to connect to the speaker
output of other SoundAmbassador units or the output
of power ampliers.
2. Link Output
Connect an external speaker to this output - the signal
source of which is taken directly from the input�
9. Battery Power & Charging Switch
This switch allows the Sound Ambassador to make
use of the built-in battery� It should be turned on when
charging the battery or when powering the SoundAm-
bassador through the built-in battery�
10. Fuse Holder (Sound Ambassador 40A)
This compartment is for holding the Sound Ambassa-
dor 40A’s fuse� To remove, simply use a screwdriver
and twist�

1� 输入连接器 Input Connectors
这个平衡式1/4”输入可接收外部设备的高电平信号，包
括Sound Ambassador 35，75或120 Deluxe。将Sound
Ambassador Deluxe的高电平输出连接至此输入可建立一
个双重单声道的PA系统。
2� 输出连接器 Output Connector
这个平衡式高电平输出可用于连接外部设备，包括功放，
有源音箱或其它Sound Ambassador扩展音箱。
3� 音量控制 Volume Control
使用此控制可调节Sound Ambassador有源扩展音箱的输
出音量。
4� 音箱输出 Speaker Output

外部无源音箱，如无源Sound Ambassador扩展音箱。
Sound Ambassador 40A在音箱输出时使用的是串行连接，
而SoundAmbassador 80A和125A使用的并联连接方式。
5� LED指示灯 LED Indicators
Sound Ambassador 80A和125A共有3个LED指示灯。当
设备的内建电池正在充电时，顶部的LED将以红光闪动，
充满时即变成绿色。设备自身充电时，中间的LED将以红
光闪动，开启设备时，最低的LED将亮蓝光。
Sound Ambassador 40A一共有2个LED。顶部的LED在
内建电池电量过低需要充电时，将以红光闪动，较低处的
LED将显示当前的充电状态。如果该LED灯闪动，则表明
设备的电池处于充电状态；若LED以绿光闪动，则表明电
池以充满。
有源“A”型号
6� DC电源输入
通过外部电源或外部电池(例如，两节12V的电池)，使
用 DC 电源输入，以 24 或 30V DC 电源带动 Sound
Ambassador。此功能仅适用于 Sound Ambassador 80A
或125A。
7� 电源开关 Power Switch
使用此开关开启或关闭Sound Ambassador。
8� AC电源插座和保险丝盒式
AC Power Inlet and Fuse Holder
这个AC电源插座可连接电源为Sound Ambassador 80A
