Powering up the Thermometer Transmitter and Receiver units:
Insert the probe jack into the side of the Thermometer Transmitter and insert 2 AA batteries into each of the
Thermometer Transmitter Unit and the Temperature Receiver Unit. If both units do not start up automatically,
press the power button on each unit. Note: If the Temperature Sensor Probe is not properly inserted, the
Thermometer Transmitter display will appear like this:
Once both units are powered up and the probe is inserted, the receiver display will start flashing, indicating it is
searching for the transmitter signal.
Press the “TX” button on the back of the transmitter to be certain it has sent a signal to the receiver; the receiver
will “beep” when transmission is successful. If the transmitter and the receiver lose their connection to each other,
press and briefly hold the power button on the transmitter to re-connect, and follow by pressing the “TX” button on
the back of the transmitter, to re-send temperature information.
Thermometer Transmitter Functions:
Press the power button briefly to select Fahrenheit and Celsius readings. The temperature reading will be
updated every 16 seconds and this reading will be transmitted to the receiver and displayed under “Cooking
Temperature”. If the cooking temperature is out of the temperature range of the thermometer, the following will
be shown on the LCD:
