Confirm the firmware version on Test Mode. The version of the firmware must be latest.
Update firmware to the latest one, if it is not the latest.
Confirm whether the customer complain has been solved.
If the customer complain occurs with the specific disc, use it for
the operation check.
The customer complain must not be reappeared.
Video, audio and operations must be normal.
Play back a CD.

Cleaning
Before shipping out the product, be sure to clean the following positions by using the prescribed cleaning tools.

Confirm playback error rates at the innermost and outermost
tracks by using the following disc.
BD-ROM test disc (GGV1308)
DVD test disc (GGV1025)
If the symptoms are related to the PQLS (Precision Quartz
Lock System), check PQLS operations.
(For checking PQLS operations, connection with an amplifier*
that supports the PQLS is required.)
The error rates must be less than 1.0e-3.
(This procedure can determine if the drive is degraded.)
Specific Items to be Checked
* (ex.) SC-07, SC-05.
For operation check of the PQLS, connect the player with the
customer’s amplifier*, check the settings, then check that the
PQLS indicator on the player’s front panel is lit.
