High-Resolution Audio Playback (up to 192 kHz/24-bit)
The network audio players are DLNA CertifiedTM
(1.5), ready to play various audio formats — from
192 kHz/24-bit high-resolution FLAC and WAV
files, songs ripped from CDs, to MP3 and MPEG-4 AAC compressed
audio files on digital audio players. Pioneer's expertise on quality
sound reproduction offers a satisfying listening experience,
regardless of source.
Hi-bit 32 Audio Signal Processing
Using Pioneer-original algorithms, Hi-bit 32 Audio
Processing expands the input bit signals to create
a natural and analogue-like waveform,
reproducing rich audio even from extremely minute signals. High-
resolution 192 kHz/24-bit audio sources can be expanded to 192
kHz/32-bit signals. The feature is also effective for CD audio played
on a disc player.
USB DAC
The network audio player allows direct USB connection with a PC*,
without having to access the home network. What's more, signal
transfer is done with USB asynchronous transfer mode, which
controls the transfer process using its high-accuracy clock instead
of syncing with the clock on the PC-side, ensuring high-quality
sound reproduction. This eliminates jitter, reproducing master
quality sound with extremely precise audio signals, even for Hi-bit
32 Audio Processing.
* PC requires driver download from Pioneer website
Auto Sound Retriever
Pioneer-original Auto Sound Retriever technology automatically
determines the audio signal's bit rate, and interpolates the data lost
during compression. It is especially effective for improving the
sound quality of low bit-rate content — an ideal feature when
switching between internet radio stations with different bit-rates.
Auto Level Control
Auto Level Control equalises volume level
differences between tracks when playing music
from an iPod or other sources.
AirPlay Compatible
AirPlay — Enthusiasts have complete access,
control and playback of their entire iTunes music
library through their network audio player. Users
can quickly and easily enjoy all their music with
song information and album art simultaneously
displayed on the full-colour LCD.
For details on iPod compatibility, visit
http://pioneer.jp/homeav/support/ios/eu/
Front USB Terminal
The front USB terminal allows direct playback of iPod/iPhone/iPad
music, while also charging the devices. You can also play PC audio
files saved on a USB device, including high-resolution FLAC and
WAV formats*, without having to access the home network.
* Compatible with up to 96 kHz/24-bit FLAC/WAV audio files

LCD Display
The units feature a high-grade full-colour LCD display with a user-
friendly GUI. You can see the format, sampling rate, bit rate,
elapsed time, and album artwork for the playing song. It also
becomes an operational display for setting and controlling
functions, without using a PC or mobile device.
* Album artwork may not be available depending on file type
Ready for Pioneer ControlApp
With the freely downloadable application, you can use your iPod
touch/iPhone as well as Android mobile phone as a remote for
controlling the network audio player's various functions.
* Network audio player needs to be connected to a home LAN network in a
wireless LAN environment.
This application is checked for operation under iOS 4.3 conditions, and for HTC
Desire HD, HTC EVO 4G, Samsung GALAXY S2, and Motorola Photon 4G.

Ready
By using the AS-BT200 optional
Bluetooth
adapter, you can enjoy
wireless transmission of audio content from compatible devices
such as iPod/iPod touch/iPhone/iPad (with iOS 3.0 or later), mobile
phone, or personal computer.
Air Jam Ready
Discover new songs on your friend's iPod
touch or iPhone. Air Jam is an iPod touch/
iPhone application developed by Pioneer, freely downloadable from
the App Store. Through Bluetooth connection*, you can stream
music from up to four iPod touch and iPhone devices**. Air Jam
also transmits metadata such as song title, artist, and album name,
and lets you easily purchase songs from the iTunes Store by
referring to your Air Jam playback history including metadata.
* AS-BT200 optional adapter required
** This application is developed and checked for operation under iOS 4.2
conditions, yet the iOS version for application development and operational
check are subject to change. The number of connectable devices or
compatibility may differ when other software versions are installed. Noise and
interruption may be caused when the iPod touch/iPhone/iPad is connected to
other Bluetooth devices. For the latest information, please refer to Air Jam
download page on the App Store.

High-Accuracy Master Clock
To achieve highly-precise clock performance, the units feature
High-Accuracy Master Clock, widely acclaimed in the
professional communication field. It minimises time-axis errors
to reproduce life-like sound.
Design for Quality Audio
The units are designed with meticulous care to reduce noise
during signal transfer. All circuit grounds function as a single
earth point, while the shortest signal path is realized by optimal
input/output design. Additionally, the channels and terminals of
the analogue L/R output are further separated to handle the
wide-range frequencies of high-resolution audio sources. The
units also feature large AC inlet terminals.
Rigid Under Base
The unit adopts the Rigid Under-Base, Pioneer's high-quality
sound technology for 2-channel components, which works to
eliminate external vibrations. The original dual chassis structure
provides rigidity with superior damping effect, as well as
stability with low centre of gravity.
Isolated Digital/Analogue Power Supply with Twin
EI Transformers
The digital and analogue power supply, including the power
transformer, are completely separated, providing a clear and
stable power output. The digital and analogue output circuitries
are each placed on separate boards to prevent interference,
thereby drastically reducing causes of sound deterioration.
