Thank you for purchasing the Polaris FR-1516 in-dash unit.
Before operation, be sure to thoroughly read these instructions.
Keep these instructions with your vehicle records for future reference.
Warranty for this product is 3 years from date of purchase, however warranty will be void if:
• The unit is tampered with, damaged or modified in anyway.
• Reverse camera cable is cut or modified in any way
• Reverse camera is subjected to over voltage
• The Navigation SD card is damaged or tampered with in any way (this includes installing foreign
mapping or software onto the SD card)
Warranty Terms
The FR-1516 is covered for 3 years and includes:
• Defective Equipment • Defective Cables
Not Covered under warranty:
• Abuse • Improper installation
• Alteration to cables (this includes cutting of any cables) • Remote control batteries
• Accidents • Water damage • Improper use • Labour

Rear Camera
The FR-1516 unit is the perfect upgrade for the 2015 – current
Ford Ranger. The unit will sit neatly in the console
located on top of the dashboard and will work independently from
your existing CD/radio.
The unit picks up power from your current CD/radio system and it
has its own speakers built in for the street navigation voice.

Settings – Press this button to toggle between brightness, contrast and colour
V- – Press this button to adjust volume down and adjust brightness, contrast,
and colour down
V+ – Press this button to adjust volume up and adjust brightness, contrast and colour up
Van – Press this button to turn the caravan / trailer camera on/off
SW – Press this button to turn the forward vision camera on/off
Note: Forward vision camera will not display when the vehicle is in reverse gear,
if you press this button whilst the vehicle is in reverse gear, the caravan/trailer camera
will display on the screen.

REVERSE CAMERA will display on screen when reverse gear is engaged.
Note: If you have switched to the caravan /trailer camera whilst in reverse,
the unit will remember this setting.

There are two ways to access the Caravan/Trailer Camera
• via Main Menu
• Pressing the button located on the unit.

• AFTER REVERSE GEAR has been disengaged and drive gear is
activated, the forward vision camera will display on the screen
for 15 seconds.
If you wish to turn the image off - press the button.
• To access the forward vision camera at any time, press the
button.
• PLEASE NOTE: The button will not activate the
forward vision camera when the vehicle is in reverse.
