Thank you for purchasing the Polaris Maxx.
Before operaon, be sure to thoroughly read these instrucons.
Warranty for this product is 3 years from date of purchase, however warranty will
be void if:
• The unit is tampered with, damaged or modied in anyway
• If applicable Reverse camera cable is cut or modied in any way
• If applicable Reverse camera is subjected to over voltage
• If applicable the Navigaon SD card is damaged or tampered with in any way (this
includes installing foreign mapping or soware onto the SD card)
• The installaon of 3rd party apps that may cause harm to the unit

The Polaris Maxx is covered for 3 years and includes:
• Defecve Equipment • Defecve Cables

• Abuse
• Improper installaon
• Alteraon to Cables (includes cung of any cables)

Geng Started
The unit will take approx. 15-20 seconds on the inial start-up, aer this the unit will
load instantaneously unless reset.
Once the unit has loaded it will appear with the main menu interface:

Please note that some apps have been installed by Polaris via Google Play store

You can change the order of the icons or move desired icons to the main interface by
holding down the applicable icon and dragging to the desired posion.
Connecng to WiFi
There are a few dierent ways in which you can connect to Wi-Fi:
1: Drag the toolbar that is located at the top of the screen down > Hold down the Wi-Fi
symbol unl the Wi-Fi sengs appear. Touch the Wi-Fi that you wish to connect to and
follow the prompts.
2. The other way in which you can connect to Wi-Fi is to select the sengs icon >
select WiFi > Touch the Wi-Fi that you wish to connect to and follow the prompts.
Please Note: If you are connecng to WiFi via your personal hotspot, you will be using
your phones data.
Connecng Bluetooth
Select Bluetooth from the main menu

Bluetooth can be temperamental at mes. If the Polaris Maxx does not nd your
device, turn your Bluetooth o and back on through your Bluetooth enabled device and
scan again.
Select your device
Once your device is
selected touch the
pair icon
Follow any prompts on your phone and once the device has paired successfully, it will
move over to the paired devices column.
You can also connect your Bluetooth device by following the normal procedure through
your device. This usually involves going into your devices > bluetooth sengs and
scanning for other Bluetooth devices.
The Polaris Maxx’s Bluetooth ID is Polaris Maxx > Select Polaris Maxx on your
device > when your device asks you for a passcode, please enter 0000.

Seng Up Radio Pre-sets
Select Radio from the main menu
You can store up to 18 FM pre-sets and 12 AM pre-sets
To automacally scan, select the magnifying glass icon
Automac scan
The unit will run through a complete scan and will automacally set your pre-set staons
to the radio frequencies with the strongest signal within your area.
Select a pre-set down the boom of the screen and hold down unl it changes to your
desired staon.

To manually scan for radio staons press the arrow buons:
When you have found the staon you desire, press the arrow key to stop the search.
If you need to change the frequency one by one, hold one of the arrow keys down. You
will now nd that when you press the arrow keys, it is easier to get to the staon that you
want to set as a pre-set staon.
Once you have reached your desired staon select a pre-set down the boom of the
screen and hold down unl it changes to your desired staon.

Date & Time
Select sengs from the main menu.
Scroll down unl you nd Date & Time under located under system sengs.
If you are planning on always being connected to WiFi via your mobile phone then you can
simply set the date and me to Automac Date & Time and Automac Time Zone

If you are not planning on being connected to WiFi all the me then you can manually set
the date, me and me zone:
Google Play Store
To start downloading your own apps you will need to sign into Google play store. To do
this you need to have a Google account. If you already have a gmail account then this is all
you will need in order to sign into the play store.
If you do not have a google account, you can sign up online which is completely free. Head
over to www.gmail.com > click on more opons > create account .
Follow all the necessary prompts to create your free google account.
Once you have set up your account, select play store from the main menu > follow the
prompts to sign in.
Once you are signed in, you are free to start downloading 3rd party apps such as
navigaon or Spofy.
Please note that the more apps you add onto the system will result in a slower response
me from the Polaris Maxx

Easy Connecon
Easy connecon allows you to connect an android phone via USB for two way control or
you can mirror your android or Apple phone via WiFi.
To setup, open Easy Connecon from the main menu
Android USB
Connect your phone with your original phone cable to one of the USB inputs on the
Polaris Maxx and Select Android USB. A message should pop up on your android device
to allow for debugging > select yes. If debugging was successful, Android drive mode will
automacally load up on the unit .
Note: If you are having trouble connecng your android phone, make sure that
debugging is enabled. You can usually nd debugging in developer opons. A quick
google search of your make and model should help with nding this feature on your
phone.

Android Drive mode will allow you to access certain features on your phone such as
messages, contacts and calls without having to touch your phone. You can add certain
apps to drive mode as well such as Google maps, Spofy etc.
Android drive mode will also allow you to mirror your phone.
iPhone Wi
iPhone WiFi will allow you to mirror your iPhone. It does not allow for 2 way control, it
will simply mirror whatever is on your iPhone screen.
When connecng via WiFi, the Polaris Maxx and your iPhone must be connected to the
same network. If you are on the road, you will need to connect the Polaris Maxx up to
your personal hotspot.
Select iPhone Wi from the easy connecon menu.
On your iPhone open Airplay or screen mirroring and select EC-Mirror-CJ.
Please Note: When connecng via WiFi please be aware that the response me will
depend on how strong your signal is. If the connecon is weak the response me will be
slow.
When connecng via WiFi, the Polaris Maxx and your android phone must be
connected to the same network. If you are on the road, you will need to connect the
Polaris Maxx up to your personal hotspot.
When seng up for the rst me, you will need to plug your phone in via USB. Please
make sure Android debugging is enabled (normally found in developer opons). Once
debugging is done the unit should connect via Wi and you can now unplug your phone.
Note: Connecng via cable is recommended as the response me is much faster
Android Wi
Note: Android Drive mode version may dier depending on the easy connect version that
is installed on your phone.

Please see page 5 & 6 On how to pair up your Bluetooth enabled device
Once you are connected to Bluetooth, you can receive calls regardless of what feature
you are using.

Notes:
The Polaris Maxx will only connect to one phone at a me however, it will remember past
paired devices so that you can easily switch between phones if necessary. To easily set this
up, see pages 17-18 For instrucons

Paired Devices
Paired devices will show you a list of past or current paired devices. The Polaris Maxx unit
will only pair with one phone at a me and the current paired device will be listed at the
top of the list. If you want to have more than one phone listed in the paired devices
column so that you can easily switch between phones, please follow these steps:

Notes:
If the auto answer feature is on, The Polaris Maxx will automacally answer the call
aer three rings.
If Auto Connect is turned on, Bluetooth will automacally connect to the last paired
phone upon vehicle start-up.

Bluetooth Music
You can listen to songs on your Bluetooth enabled device via Bluetooth. You can either
select the music you wish to listen to directly from your mobile phone and it will play
through the unit.
Alternavely you can select A2DP and the Polaris Maxx will play whatever audio
le you were previously listening to on your Bluetooth enabled device.
If you were listening to a playlist you can skip forward and back, pause and play through
A2DP.
Notes:
A2DP is limited in features, we recommend that if you use streaming services such as
Spofy or Apple music to download the app directly onto the Polaris Maxx.
Radio
The Polaris Maxx has AM and FM built into it. You can set up to 18 FM pre-sets and 12
AM pre-sets. To see how to set these up, please see pages 7-8
