This product does not replace the need for adult supervision of all persons in the pool area.
This product is not a life saving device but an aid to a multi-level program of pool safety including
adult supervision, knowledge of CPR and swimming instruction for all persons using the pool.
This product is intended for use on residential pools only, and the manufacturer assumes no respon-
sibility for injuries or consequential property damage while this product is in use on a swimming pool.
Proper installation and maintenance are the sole responsibility of the pool owner.
Do not permit children to use this product unless closely supervised by an adult at all times.
Do not operate this product unless it is submerged in water.
Do not use this product if it is damaged in any way.
ever leave children unattended near or in the pool.
It is imperative to react quickly once the alarm has sounded.
Swimming instruction is recommended for those who cannot swim.
Participation in a safety instructional course such as CPR (especially for children) is recommended.
For children or persons that cannot swim, a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is recommended
when entering the pool area.
Test the alarm weekly to ensure it is working properly.
Do not leave toys or objects floating in an unattended pool as this may invite children to enter the pool.
Keep the pool water clear so all objects on the bottom of the pool are visible.
Layers of protection add to the security of the pool. A barrier fence should always be used around a
pool in conjunction with a gate or door alarm, such as SPQ Brands’s YardGard to alert the
responsible
party that an unwanted intrusion to the pool area has occurred.

MOUNTING THE ALARM
1) Locate the section of the pool where the alarm
will be installed.
2) Remove one of the top seat caps from the
identified pool section as in Figure 1.
NOTE: The mounting bracket can be adjusted if the top
rail of the wall is wider than the defaulted setting.
Remove the support screws to make this adjustment as
shown in Figures 2 and 2A.
3) Remove the screws from the top seat and lift
that end of the top seat as in Figure 3.
4) Loosen the mounting bracket screws and slide
the alarm onto the top rail and position it in the
center of that wall section as in Figure 4.
5) Install the mounting bracket spacer and tighten the
mounting bracket screws until the alarm is secure
against the pool wall as in Figure 5.
IMPORTANT: The alarm must be installed in a vertical

(double-sided tape can also be used), mount the
siren to the outside of the nearest upright as in
Figure 6 (a pilot hole may need to drilled for the
screws).
