ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Assembly Instructions:
1. Backboard Assembly
Please review all figures BEFORE
assembling. See page 4 for required tools.
• Locate the right left support angles
(they are not interchangeable)
(FIGURE 1) Align the top holes in
support angles with upper holes on
the backboard. Secure with (2) 1-3/8"
carriage bolts and (2) 1/2" washers and
(2) shoulder nuts. (feed bolts from the
front of the backboard).
• Turn the backboard upside down. Align
holes (one hole at a time) on hoop with
holes in the backboard, support angles
and mounting brackets (FIGURE 2).
Secure with (4) 1-3/4" bolts and (8) 5/16"
washers and (4) hex nuts (as pictured).
Tighten when bolts are in place.
• Hang the net: thread the loop of netting
(from the inside of of the hoop) through
the eyelet. Then push the loop down and
over the middle of the eyelet and pull
tight. Repeat for all eyelets.

2. Base Assembly
• Insert bottom section of the upright pole
into the base (insert the end with the
larger diameter). Make sure the side
holes line up with the axle channel in the
base (FIGURE 3).
• Insert the (2) wheels into the base. When
facing the fron of the base, thread the
axle through the right wheel and then
into the side hole of the uphight pole and
then into the left wheel. Keep pushing
the axle until it hits the stop built into the
base and all parts are secure.
• Locate the right and left support braces
(they are not interchangeable)
(FIGURE 4). Align the holes in the (2)
support braces with the middle hole in
the upright pole. Secure with a 3" bolt,
(2) 5/16" washers, and lock nut. Secure
the bottom of the support braces to the
base with (2) 3/4" bolts and (2) 5/16"
washers, (2) lock nuts, and (2) 1/2"
washers.
• Place the upright pole’s top section onto
the bottom section. Align the holes in the
two sections and secure with a 2-3/4"
bolt, (2) 5/16" washers and lock nut.
• Fill base with water or sand and cover
opening with base cap. FOR BEST
RESULTS, USE SAND TO FILL BASE.
• WARNING: NO SLAM DUNKING! Place
NO SLAM DUNK label on front of base.

3. Final Assembly
• Lift the backboard assembly and lower
mounting bracket onto the top of the
upright pole (FIGURE 5). At the desired
height, thread (2) large thumbscrews
through the mounting bracket and the
upright pole and then secure by tightening
the (2) large thumbscrews. Please note:
the backboard can be adjusted in the
future by loosening and repositioning the
thumbscrews.
• Insert cap into top of upright pole. A
rubber mallet may be needed to properly
seat the cap. CAUTION: DO NOT HIT THE
CAP WITH A METAL OBJECT.
• Use ball needle and hand pump (not
included) to inflate ball.
