Operating and installation instructions

Part 2 Product Safety -
•
If any damage is noticed the product should not be installed and the retailer
notified immediately.
•
As packing materials may be harmful to children they should be properly
disposed of immediately
•
A suitably qualified person the supplier will be in no way liable for any
damage caused by incorrect installation must only install the product.
•
Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate is the same as the supplied
voltage in the home.
•
If the power cord is damaged it should only be replaced by a qualified person
•
Before changing the oven bulb turn the appliance off at the supply.
•
When cleaning turn the appliance off at the supply
•
Parts of the product such as the hotplates retain heat for some time do not
handle until it cools completely.
•
Do not store flammable materials close to the product.
•
Take care with power leads of other appliances to ensure they do not come
into contact with hot parts of the cooker.
•
When not in use please ensure all switches are in the off position.
•
The glass cover on some models may shatter if exposed to high temperatures
do not close the glass lid until the burners have completely cooled. Do not
place hot trays or roasting dishes on the closed glass lid.
•
Keep children away from the cooker at all times.
•
It is possible to grill with the top door open or closed.
•
If the ceramic glass should be damaged or cracked turn off from the supply
immediately to avoid electric shock.
•
Do not use steam cleaners to clean the cooker.
•
Do not place objects on the hob cover
•
If the cooker is installed on a plinth it must be secured to avoid any slipping or
tipping of the cooker.
•
Before using the oven for the first time it should be switched on at maximum
for 45 minutes some smoke and smell will be noticed this is normal and will
disappear after a short time.
•
Do not allow children to climb on or sit on the open door this could make the
cooker unstable and cause severe injury.
•
If this cooker is used by anybody with diminished physical or mental capacity
it should be under the supervision of the person responsible for his or her
safety.
•
Use only in a domestic household do not use outside do not expose to rain or
frost.
•
Do not leave the cooker un attended when using oil or fat they may overheat
and ignite do not use water to extinguish the flames turn off the burner and
cover the saucepan to extinguish the flames if this is not possible clear the
premises and contact the emergency services.

Part 3: Installation
This modern and functional cooker is manufactured with the best quality parts and
materials and will give many years of good service.
•
The following information should be supplied to the installer.
•
Only suitably qualifier person should install this cooker.
•
Please follow the instructions to avoid any problems later
•
When fitted between kitchen furniture the height of the furniture must not
exceed that of the cooker.
•
Please leave a minimum of 2cm of space between the cooker back and the
wall.
•
Do not place close to refrigerator. There should be no flammable materials
near the cooker such as curtains paper or other flammable objects.
•
The furniture adjacent to the cooker must be resistant to temperatures of 120
C.
•
The cooker has 4 levelling legs and may be adjusted to give a maximum of
15mm up or down adjustment .The legs may be adjusted by hand or with a
coin of the appropriate size.

Part 4: Electric connection
•
Only qualified persons should carry out the connection.
•
A circuit breaker with a contact opening of at least 3mm must be installed in
the supply.
•
The correct diameter of supply cable should be used.
•

This product should only be installed by qualified personnel only.
Part 4 Using the product

Control Panel.
•
The hob is fitted with 4 hot plates 2 x 145mm and 2 x 180mm
•
The rings are controlled by switches giving varying outputs 1 being the lowest
6 the highest heat.
•
The knob rotation is clockwise 1-6
•
The surface of the hotplates are covered with a protective layer on first use
turn the plate on for five minutes this will burn off the coating.
•
Please use pans and saucepans with flat heavy bases which cover the plate
fully as shown in Figure 9.
•
Clean the plates using a damp cloth with a small amount of detergent (if
required) finish by applying a small amount of oil this will extend the life of
the plates and improve their appearance.
Ceramic Hob
•
The hob has 4 heating areas 2 x 180mm and 2 x 145mm
•
The control knob should be turned clockwise to increase the temperature.
•
Always ensure the knob is in the “0” position when not in use.
•
Allow the hob to cool fully before cleaning heavy soiling may be removed
with the use of a scraper designed for the purpose and then cleaned using a
ceramic cleaner.
•
Always use saucepans with flat bottoms this avoids hotspots and overheating.
•
Do not use cast iron cookware on the ceramic hob.
•
If any damage or cracking should appear always turn the power off at the
supply and contact service, as there is danger of electric shock.

Using the Digital Timer
Setting the time.
‘A’ Symbol with flash when the appliance is connected to the electrical source. Pressing the +
and – key at the same time. It is then possible to adjust the Time by pressing the + or – keys.
Setting the Timer/Minute Minder
Press the ‘Mode’ Key until the Bell Flashes. By pressing +/- keys a time can be set
from 0 to 23 hours 59 min to allow the oven switch off. At the end of the cooking
period an alarm sounds and the bell symbol flashes. Press any key to stop the alarm.
Setting a required cook time.
To set a cook time press the ‘Mode’ key until ‘dur’ key flashes.
Using the +/- key set the desired cooking time. When the desired time is reached
release the keys and leave for five seconds. ‘A’ will flash and the cook symbols
remains lighting continuously.
The display will return to show current
Time during the cooking period.
Setting the cooking End Time
Press the ‘Mode’ key until ‘End appears on the screen. Press the +/- keys to set
the desired finishing time. N.B. This is the time of day.
At the end of the cooking time an alarm will sound and the cook symbol will
disappear.
Press any key to cancel the alarm.


Part 5: Using the grill
•
The Grill is selected by turning the knob clockwise the higher the number the
greater the grill temperature
•
Use the grill pan provided. Turn the grill off after use.
•
Always remove the grill pan at the end of cooking; never store a used grill pan
in the grill cavity.
•
Keep children away from cooker at all times.
Part 6: Using the oven
•
The oven has a number of different functions.
•
Defrost function: this does not cook the food it speeds up the defrost time
place the food on the grid and a tray in the bottom of the oven to collect the
defrost water.
•
Top and bottom heat function: this is selected by turning the knob to symbol
and then select the required temperature this is recommended for baking and
cooking pizza.
•
Top and bottom heat function combined with a circulating fan this function
gives excellent results for multi shelf cooking.

Part 7: Cleaning and maintenance
•
Before any cleaning or maintenance is carried out please turn off all controls
and switch off the cooker at the main switch.
•
Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on any surfaces do not use caustic
cleaners of any kind the use of cream cleaners is recommended.
•
The replacement of the oven light should be carried out only by a qualified
person .
•
For best results clean the oven while slightly warm . Wiping the oven with a
damp cloth with a small amount of detergent after each use will prevent build
up of excessive soiling .
