IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, the following basic precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Before using the Espresso Coee Maker, please check that the mains voltage of the wall outlet
corresponds to the one shown on the appliance’s nameplate.

12. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.

OPERATING YOUR PRESTIGE ESPRESSO COFFEE MAKER
Before using your Espresso Coee Percolator: It is recommended that the Espresso Coee Maker
should be operated following the below instructions without coee powder and water discarded o
before the rst use. is will remove any dust material present in the appliance.
1. Pour water into the water tank. Ensure that the water level in the water tank does not exceed
the 'MAX' level and less than the 'MIN' level indicated on the water tank. Place the lid on the
water tank.
Note: e appliance is provided with a detachable water tank for easy cleaning. You can ll
the tank with water rst and then place the water tank on the appliance.
2. Place the steel lter in the funnel. Do not add any coee powder to the funnel.
3. Place a carae or a jug on the detachable drip tray. Make sure the steam control knob is in
'OFF' position.
Note: e coee maker is not provided with carae. Please use your own carae or jug of
appropriate size
4. Connect the coee maker to the power source. Pres the 'ON/OFF' switch to 'ON' position. e
'ON' lamp will illuminate.
5. Press the pump control switch to " " position. e pump will start pumping water from the
water tank and the water will start owing out of the funnel.
6. Switch o the pump by switching it to " "position.

7. Now, press the coee/steam selector to " " position. e switch will illuminate indicating the
appliance is preheating the water.
8. Once the preheating is over, the appliance will automatically switch o. e indicator light will
stop glowing.
9. Press the pump control switch to ' ' position. Water will start owing out of the funnel.
10. Once the water stops coming out of the funnel, you can pour out the water from the tank and
clean them.
Now you can start using the coee maker.
Note: ere may be some noise while begining to use the appliance for the rst time. is is
normal. is is due to the pump releasing the air in the appliance. e noise will disappear in
about 30 seconds.

PRE-HEATING THE COFFEE MAKER
It is advisable to pre-heat the coee maker before brewing coee including the funnel, steel lter and
the cup so that you get coee with good aroma and avour.
1. Remove the water tank lid and ll with water. Do not exceed the "MAX" level and less than
'MIN' level indicated on the water tank.
2. Set the steel lter into the metal lter. Make sure that the tube on the funnel aligns with the
groove in the appliance. Insert the funnel into its position from the "INSERT" position and you
can x the funnel into coee maker rmly when you turn it anti-clockwise until it is locked in
the “LOCK” position.
3. Place a container or cup on the detachable drip tray.
5. Press the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON" position. e "ON" indicator will glow

8. Once the water starts owing out of the funnel, switch o the pump control by pressing pump
control switch to " " position. Pre-heating is complete

MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE
1. Remove the water tank lid by liing it up. Pour water in the water tank. en, close the lid.
Note: While pouring water into the water tank, do not exceed the "MAX"level and less than 'MIN'
level indicated on the water tank.
2. Place the steel lter into the funnel and add coee powder to steel lter with measuring scoop,
one scoop of coee powder can make about a cup of lter coee. Press the coee powder well
inside the lter using the at side of the scoop.
3. Insert the funnel into its position from the “INSERT” position, and you can x the funnel into
coee maker rmly when you turn it anti-clockwise until it is locked in the “LOCK” position.
4. Place a jug or cup on the detachable drip tray.
5. Plug the power cord into the socket. Press the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON" position. e "ON"
indicator will glow.
6. Pres the coee/steam switch to " " position.
7. Turn the pump control switch to " " position. Ensure the indicator is illuminated. Wait for
about 2 minutes for the coee to ow out.
8. Aer the desired quantity of coee has been obtained, turn the pump control switch to " "
position. e indicator will go o and the coee maker will stop working. Your coee is ready
now.
9. Remove the jug or cup and turn the steam control knob to coee/steam selector switch to ' '
position.

10. Turn steam control knob to its rst position to release the residual steam in the tank
WARNING: Do not leave the coee maker unattended while the appliance is under operation.
11. Once the Espresso Coee Maker is allowed to cool, the funnel can be removed by turning it
in turn clockwise direction. Remove the coee residue out of the steel lter with the help of
the lter holder. en rinse the steel lter under running water. Ensure that the lter holder is
moved back to its original position before replacing the steel lter into the funnel.
