Before Use
• Become familiar with the various parts of the shoe polisher (FIG. A) and read the instructions carefully.
Polish applicators, brushes, and buffing pads are color-coded brown and black for use with different polish colors.
Note: Your shoe polisher will be shipped with one of the buffing pads attached to one of the brushes. Before you begin
polishing, remove the buffing pad from the brush by turning the pad counterclockwise. Set the buffing pad aside for later
use.
• It is a good idea to wear an apron or smock, to protect clothing during polishing.
• Be sure to protect the area in which polishing is being done, to avoid polish stains. Choose a location away from carpet and
furniture.
How To Use
1. Using one of the two color-coded polish applicators (Fig.
A) found in the storage tray, apply a very thin even coat of
polish to the outer surface of the footwear to be polished.
When completed, return the applicator to the appropriate
receptacle in the storage tray.
2. Attach the appropriate color-coded brush to the power
handle by inserting the shaft portion of the brush into the
receptacle in the power handle (Fig. B). It may be neces-
sary to turn the brush slightly to the right or left until the
brush clicks into place.
To remove the brush, slide the power/brush release switch
(Fig. B) to the release (REL) position. While holding the
switch in this position, remove the brush.
3. Plug cord into outlet and slide the power/brush release switch (Fig. B) forward to the
ON position.
4. Move the brush slowly over the entire shoe surface with a light steady pressure, mak-
ing sure the brush gets into all contours of the shoe. When finished, slide the power
switch to the OFF position.
5. Place the appropriate color-coded buffing pad over the polishing brush, aligning the
grooves on the pad with the tabs on the brush (Fig. C). Lock it in place by turning the
buffing pad clockwise. Slide the power/brush release switch forward to the ON posi-
tion and move the buffing pad slowly over the entire shoe surface with a light steady
pressure.
Helpful Hint: For a dazzling shine, spray a light mist of water on the shoes prior to buff-
ing.
6. When finished, slide the power switch to the OFF position and unplug power cord from
outlet.
7. Remove the buffing pad by turning it counterclockwise; place the buffing pad back in the
storage tray. To remove the brush, slide the power/brush release switch (Fig. B) to the release (REL) position. While
holding the switch in this position, remove the brush.
Storage: When not in use, place the power handle with the brush attached into the storage tray. The recessed area in the bot-
tom of the power handle fits over the shaft of the other brush and holds the power handle in position for storage.
