INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The refrigerator is equipped with a electrically heated
absorptio cooli g u til which is virtually sile t i
operatio . The fridge is desig ed for free-sta di g
i stallatio , but ca be built-i if the followi g co ditio s
are complied with to e sure satisfactory operatio a d
maximum cooli g efficie cy.
1) The fridge must be level i both directio s.
2) There must be a air duct at the back of the housi g
to provide sufficie t air-flow over the cooli g u it to
carry away heat ge erated duri g the cooli g
process. The e tire cooli g u it should project i to the
duct a d the air passi g through the duct must ot be
preheated by radiators, T.V. sets or a y other sources
of heat. Two refrigerators should ot be built-i , o e
o top of the other, u less separate air ducts are
provided for each.
3) Whe built-i , for future servici g requireme ts, it
must be possible for the refrigerator to be easily
removed, without damagi g the fitme t i which it is
housed.
The illustratio s o page 59 show four differe t ways of
buildi g-i the refrigerator.
During installati n, please ensure the mains plug is
accessible at all times.
With the refrigerator standing on a shelf - Figure 2
The ope i g at the back for the passage of air must be at
least 05 mm deep. This ca be achieved by usi g
105 mm spacers at the rear of the shelf, leavi g a 105
mm ope i g immediately u der the cooli g u it.
Alter atively, the shelf ca be supported o batte s at the
sides, screwed to adjace t fitme ts, or o legs, leavi g a
completely u obstructed ope i g u der eath the cooli g
u it for the full width of the refrigerator, allowi g maximum
air-flow.
If a ve tilatio grill is fitted at the top, it must have a free
space of at least 200 cm2for the ventilating air to escape.
With the refrigerator built into a housing - Figs 3,4 and 5
The ve tilatio duct at the back of the recess must be at
least 05 mm deep and extend the full width of the
refrigerator - 425 mm minimum.
If the i let a d/or outlet ope i gs at the bottom a d top of
the duct are fitted with decorative grilles, the free space
through each grille must ot be less tha 200 cm2so that
the air-flow is ot restricted.
Door hang and outer door panel
The chose positio for your fridge may make it
preferable to cha ge over the door hi ges to reverse the
door ha g. To do this, refer to page 20.
If you wish the outer door pa el ca be removed a d
replaced by a other to match existi g decor i your room.

Connecting to the mains
The refrigerator must o ly be co ected to the electricity
supply usi g a earthed socket outlet, i stalled i
accorda ce with local regulatio s. Before co ecti g the
refrigerator, check from the data label i side the cabi et
that the voltage agrees with your mai s supply.
