BULKHEAD CABLE KIT
CPM-DS3
1 INTRODUCTION
This manual provides installation instructions for the Pulsecom®CPM-DS3 Bulkhead Cable Kit used with the
Pulsecom 3O3D3-CPL2C REVB mounting or with a BP-19 or BP-23 rack-mounted bulkhead panel. The kit
provides two bulkhead-mounted 75-ohm coax male/male BNCjacks and cables that connect these jacks to
the front panel of O3D3-MO or O3-3D3DN modules. See Figure 1.
This practice has been reissued to remove information on the manufacture-discontinued CPM-DS3P Kit.
The CPM-DS3P has been replaced by the CSSI-DS3P and CSSI-PROT-MOUNT.

2 INSTALLATION
Follow Procedure 1 to install the CPM-DS3 Kit.

Procedure 1. Installing the CPM-DS3 in a 3O3D3-CPL2C REVB, BP-19, or BP-23
STEP ACTION
1 When using the 3O3D3-CPL2C REVB, remove one network interface (NI) module blanking
plate from the chassis; save this screw for use in Step 3. If using the BP-19 or BP-23

, remove the
screws next to the desired CPM-DS3 mounting position; save these screws for use in Step 3.
Ensure that a pair of BNC feed-through couplers is snapped into place in the CPM-DS3 demarc
panel plate (provided with the kit).
3 Mount the demarc panel plate in place with the screw(s) saved from Step 1.
4 Connect one end of one coax cable (provided with the kit) to the TX coax feed-through coupler
on the demarc panel plate. Connect the opposite end of this coax cable to a TX DS3 connector on
the O3D3-MO or O3-3D3DN front panel.
5 Connect the second coax cable (provided with the kit) between the RX feed-through coupler on
the demarc panel plate and the RX DS3 connector on the O3D3-MO or O3-3D3DN front panel.
