• Products with serial number defacement, modification or removal.
• Water damage or corrosion caused by dampness.
• Any damage or deterioration due to shipment.
• Any product which has been subjected to misuse, abuse or accident.

Voca safety instructions
1. Read these instructions – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before this product is operated.
2. Keep these instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Heed all warnings – All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
4. Follow all instructions – All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. Clean only with dry cloth.
6. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
7. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
8. Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
9. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
10. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove plastic cover or screws as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
11. Avoid liquids getting into Voca. Should not be immersed in water, or used where this may happen, such as a bathroom.
12. The equipment’s ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
13. WARNING Please refer to the information on the bottom exterior of the enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the apparatus.
14. WARNING To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that
objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on apparatus.
15. WARNING: The direct plug-in adapter is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
16. This equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed in such a way that it does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.
WARNING: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with a genuine Pure internal Li-ion rechargeable battery. Battery replacement should only be
carried out by Pure or authorised representatives.
To replace the battery pack, contact your local dealer or visit the Pure technical support site at support-uk.pure.com.
Dispose of the battery as per normal Lithium ion rechargeable batteries according to the local laws and regulations of your region. Some batteries may be accepted for
disposal at your local recycling centre.
Do not tear or remove the plastic covering or any part of the battery. Do not puncture, modify, drop, throw, or cause other unnecessary shocks to the battery. Batteries
may present a risk of fire, explosion, or chemical burn if mistreated.
Do not dispose of the battery in a fire or incinerator, or leave in hot places such as a motor car under direct sunlight. Do not store batteries near an oven, stove, or other
heat source.
Do not connect the battery directly to an electrical source, such as a building outlet or automobile power-point. Do not place batteries into a microwave oven, or into any
other high-pressure container.
Do not immerse the battery in water or otherwise get it wet.
Do not short circuit the battery.

Getting started
1. If you want to use mains power and charge the battery, insert
the connector of the mains power adapter into the socket on
the rear of Voca and plug in to the mains power supply.

2. Hold down the power button ( ) on the top of Voca until you
hear a beep.
Voca can be powered using the mains power supply or with its built-in rechargeable battery. If you are not using the mains
power supply and Voca’s battery needs charging, the power button ( ) will start to flash orange. When Voca has finished
charging, the power button ( ) light will turn off.

4. Switch on Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device and select
`Voca’ from the list of available devices (see your Bluetooth
device manual if you need help doing this).
Voca will sound a tone and the Bluetooth icon ( ) on the
top of Voca will light steady blue to show you that it has
successfully paired with your Bluetooth device.
5. Select the content that you want to listen to on your
Bluetooth device.
Your selected content will start to play on Voca.
Note: Voca will automatically enter standby after 30 minutes
of inactivity.
3. Check that the Bluetooth icon ( ) on the top of Voca is
flashing blue. If not, press the Bluetooth button until it starts
to flash blue.

Using Voca as a speakerphone
If you have paired Voca to a mobile phone, you can also use Voca as a speakerphone (see step 4 on page 7 to find out
how to pair your phone to Voca).
Note: Make sure that you are close enough to speak into the microphone when making phone calls.
Making a phone call
To make a phone call using Voca, dial the number that you
want to call on your mobile phone. When you have finished
your call, briefly press the button.
Answering an incoming call
When your phone receives a call, Voca will stop playing
whatever you are listening to and make a ringing sound. To
answer the call, briefly press the button. Briefly press the
button again when you want to end the call. If you were
listening to content stored on your phone, Voca will switch
back to whatever you were listening to previously.
Rejecting an incoming call
If you receive a call that you do not want to answer, hold down
the button.

Why is the Bluetooth indicator on my Voca flashing blue?
Voca uses the Bluetooth indicator to tell you what Bluetooth mode it is in. If you have paired Voca with your phone, tablet or
another type of Bluetooth device, the Bluetooth indicator will light steady blue. If the Bluetooth indicator on Voca is flashing blue
rapidly, it means that Voca has not been paired with your phone, tablet or other Bluetooth device. If the Bluetooth indicator is
flashing blue slowly, it means that Voca is ready to pair with your phone, tablet or another type of Bluetooth device.
How long can I listen to Voca before the battery needs recharging?
If Voca is fully charged, you can typically listen to Voca for about 10 hours before it needs recharging.
Why is the power light on my Voca flashing orange?
When off and plugged in to the mains, the power light on Voca flashes orange to show you that the battery is recharging. When
the battery has fully charged, the power light will turn off.
Note: Voca draws a small amount of power when plugged in to your mains connection, even when it has finished charging. To
reduce your power consumption, we recommended disconnecting Voca from your mains connection once it has fully charged.

Sicherheitsanweisungen zum Voca
1. Lesen Sie diese Anweisungen. Die Sicherheits- und Bedienungsanweisungen sind zu lesen, bevor das Gerät in Betrieb genommen wird.
2. Bewahren Sie die Anweisungen auf. Die Sicherheits- und Betriebsanleitungen sind für die spätere Einsichtnahme aufzubewahren.
3. Beachten Sie die Warnungen. Alle Warnungen am Gerät und in der Bedienungsanweisung sind zu befolgen.
4. Befolgen Sie alle Anweisungen - alle Betriebs- und Gebrauchsanweisungen sind zu befolgen.
5. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur mit einem trockenen Tuch.
6. Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen, z. B. Radiatoren, Heizkörpern, Öfen oder anderen Apparaten (einschließlich Verstärkern) auf.

14. WARNUNG! Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus, um das Risiko eines Brandes oder elektrischen Schlags zu verringern. Das Gerät darf nicht mit Tropfen

Erste Schritte
1. Wenn Sie Netzstrom verwenden wollen, während Sie den Akku
laden, verbinden Sie den Netzteilstecker mit dem Anschluss
auf der Rückseite des Voca und einer Netzsteckdose.

2. Drücken Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter ( ) auf der Oberseite des
Voca, bis Sie einen Piepton hören.
Der Voca kann über Netzstrom oder seinen integrierten Akku betrieben werden. Wenn Sie keinen Netzstrom verwenden und
der Akku des Voca aufgeladen werden muss, beginnt der Ein-/Aus-Schalter ( ) orangefarben zu blinken. Wenn der Voca
vollständig geladen ist, leuchtet der Ein-/Aus-Schalter ( ) nicht mehr.

4. Schalten Sie Ihr Bluetooth-Gerät auf Bluetooth und wählen Sie
„Voca“ aus der Liste der verfügbaren Geräte. (Wenn Sie Hilfe
benötigen, schlagen Sie in Ihrem Gerätehandbuch nach.)
Am Voca ertönt ein Ton und das Bluetooth-Icon ( ) auf der
Oberseite des Voca leuchtet konstant blau um anzuzeigen, dass
der Voca erfolgreich mit Ihrem Bluetooth-Gerät verbunden wurde.
5. Wählen Sie bei Ihrem Bluetooth-Gerät den Inhalt, den Sie
hören möchten.
Ihr gewählter Inhalt wird nun am Voca abgespielt.
Anmerkung: Der Voca geht nach 30 Minuten Inaktivität
automatisch in den Standby-Modus.
3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Bluetooth-Icon ( ) auf der
Oberseite des Voca blau blinkt. Ist das nicht der Fall, drücken

Verwendung des Voca als Freisprechtelefon
Wenn Sie den Voca mit einem Mobiltelefon gekoppelt haben, können Sie ihn auch als Freisprechtelefon verwenden (siehe
Schritt 4 auf page 7 für Anweisungen zur Verbindung Ihres Telefons mit dem Voca).
Anmerkung: Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie sich beim Telefonieren nahe genug am Mikrofon befinden, wenn Sie hineinsprechen.
Einen Anruf tätigen
Wenn Sie über den Voca einen Anruf tätigen möchten, wählen
Sie auf Ihrem Mobiltelefon die gewünschte Nummer. Drücken
Sie nach dem Anruf kurz die Taste .
Einen Anruf entgegennehmen
Wenn Sie auf Ihrem Telefon einen Anruf erhalten, unterbricht
der Voca die Wiedergabe von dem, was Sie gerade hören,
und es ertönt ein Klingeln. Um den Anruf entgegenzunehmen,
drücken Sie kurz auf die Taste . Drücken Sie erneut kurz auf
die Taste , wenn Sie den Anruf beenden möchten. Wenn
Sie vorher auf Ihrem Telefon gespeicherten Inhalt gehört haben,
schaltet der Voca wieder darauf zurück.
Einen Anruf zurückweisen
Wenn Sie einen eingehenden Anruf nicht annehmen möchten,
drücken Sie die Taste .
