INSTALLATION
Notes:
• Choose the mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal
driving function of the driver.
• Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring temporarily and make sure it is
all connected up properly and the unit and the system work properly.
• Use only the parts included with the unit to ensure proper installation. The use of
unauthorized parts can cause malfunctions.
• Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other
modifications of the vehicle.
• Install the unit where it does not get in the driver’s way and cannot injure the
passenger if there is a sudden stop, like an emergency stop.
• If installation angle exceeds 30˚ from horizontal, the unit might not give its optimum
performance.
• Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperature, such as from
direct sunlight, or from hot air, from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust,
dirt or excessive vibration.
DIN FRONT/REAR-MOUNT
This unit can be properly installed either from “Front” (conventional DIN Front-mount)
or “Rear” (DIN Rear-mount installation, utilizing threaded screw holes at the sides of
the unit chassis). For details, refer to the following illustrated installation methods.
DIN FRONT-MOUNT (Method A)

inwards to secure the holder in place.

Be sure to use the strap to secure the
back of the unit in place. The strap can
be bent by hand to the desired angle.

Removing the unit
1. Frame
2. Insert fingers into the groove in the front
of frame and pull out to remove the
frame. (When re-attaching the frame,
point the side with a groove downwards
and attach it.)
3. Lever
Insert the levers supplied with the unit
into the grooves at both sides of the unit
as shown in figure until they click.
Pulling the levers makes it possible to
remove the unit from the dashboard.
DIN REAR-MOUNT (Method B)
Installation using the screw holes on the sides of the unit.
Fastening the unit to the factory radio
mounting bracket.
1. Select a position where the screw holes
of the bracket and the screw holes of
the main unit become aligned (are fitted),
and tighten the screws at 2 places on
each side.
Use either truss screws (5 x 6mm) or
flush surface screws (4 x 6mm),
depending on the shape of the screw
holes in the bracket.

HOW TO REMOVE AND INSTALL THE FRONT PANEL
(OPTIONAL)
1. Press the release button and pull-off the front panel.
Keep front panel into the case.
2. To install the front panel, insert the panel into the housing and make sure the panel
is properly installed, otherwise, abnormalities occurs on the display or some keys
will not function properly.

WIRING CONNECTION
1. All connections should be soldered and insulated with electrical tape.
2. Be sure to connect the red power input lead to + 12V power terminal after all the
other leads have been properly connected.
3. Run all ground wires to a common ground.
4. After all the connection is completed, press the “RESET” (19) button.
ANTENNA RELAY WIRE
A yellow wire has been provided for relay controlled antenna. The relay will
automatically activate antenna upward when unit is turned on and retract when unit
is turned off.
CAUTION:
Do not hook up yellow wire to motor wire or damage may occur to the unit.
WIRING CONNECTION FOR 4 X 7W OR 2 X 25W SYSTEM
Note:
1. For 2-speakers system, blue, white, green/black and grey/black wire leads are
unconnected and isolated.
2. For 2-speakers system, keep the fader control at center position to maintain the
existing volume level.

OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
• ON/OFF
Press PWR button (1) to turn on the unit. Press it again to turn it off.
• FACEPLATE RELEASE
Press REL button (2) to detach the removable faceplate.

• SELECT AUDIO MODE
Press SEL button (3) to change audio mode through volume, bass, treble, balance
and fader modes. Use (4) and (5) buttons to adjust the selected mode.
When mode has not been adjusted for 3 seconds, display returns to normal radio
or CD display.
Volume
Adjust volume level by using (4) and (5) buttons.
Note: The unit is initially set to volume mode.
Bass
Press SEL button (3) one time. Adjust bass level by using (4) and (5) buttons.
Treble
Press SEL button (3) two times. Adjust treble level by using (4) and (5) buttons.
Balance
Press SEL button (3) three times. Adjust sound balance between left and right
speakers by using (4) and (5) buttons.
Fader
Press SEL button (3) four times. Adjust sound balance between front and rear
speakers by using (4) and (5) buttons.
• LOUDNESS
Press and release RND/LOU button (11) immediately to reinforce the bass output.
• TIME SETTING
Press DSP button (6) to change the display to clock display, if no key is activated
in 5 seconds, it will automatically return to previous display.
Press and hold the DSP button (6) for 3 seconds until the clock display flashes.
Press (5) to change minutes or (4) to change hours.
• SELECT MODE
During CD operation, press BND button (7) to switch to radio mode. During radio
operation, when a compact disc is inserted in the disc slot, press CD button (12) to
switch to CD mode and start playing.
• LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
Exhibit current frequency and activated functions on the display (17).
• LED
When the front panel does not install on the unit, the LED indicator (18) is flashing.
• RESET
Press RESET button (19) to re-initialized the unit in case abnormalities or malfunction
is observed. When reset is activated, all preset station/program will be cleared.
Reset button can be access by any pointed material.

RADIO OPERATION
• SELECT BAND
Press BND button (7) to change bands as below:
3 bands: 2 bands:
• SELECT STATION
Rotate the TUNE knob (8) clockwise or anti-clockwise to choose the desired
frequency.
• SELECTING LOCAL/DISTANT
In radio operation, press RPT/LOC button (9) select between local setting for
reception of strong station and distant setting for reception of weak stations when
tuning.
• SELECTING MONO/STEREO
In radio operation, press INT/MON button (10) to select mono or stereo reception
for radio stations. You can sometimes improve reception of distant stations by
selecting mono operation.

CD OPERATION
• DISC PLAY
Push a compact disc with the label
side facing up into the disc slot (13)
and you will hear a click sound.
If no sound heard, the CD should be
incorrectly inserted into the disc slot.
(As figure shows)
Then it automatically starts playing the
first track of the disc.
The display will indicate the track
number and playing time.
During the playing, press button (12) to temporarily stop the playing or press it
again to recover playing.
Press (eject) button (14) to eject CD from the slot. The unit switches to radio
operation.
• SELECT TRACKS
In CD operation, press MAN/SKIP buttons –(15) or +(16) to move to the previous
track or the following track. Track number shows on display.
In CD operation, hold MAN/SKIP buttons –(15) or +(16) to fast reverse or fast
forward. CD play starts from when you release the button.
• REPEAT
In CD operation, press RPT/LOC button (9) to continuously repeat the same track.
Press once more to continuously repeat the same disc. Press it at the third time to
release the mode.
• PLAY IN RANDOM ORDER
Press and hold RND/LOU button (11) for more than 1.5 seconds to play all tracks
on the current CD in random order. Press it more than 1.5 seconds again to cancel
the function.
• PREVIEW ALL TRACKS
During CD operation, press INT/MON button (10) to play first 10 seconds of each
track on current CD. Press it again to stop intro and recover normal playing.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before going through the check list, check wiring connection. If any of the problems
persist after check list has been made, consult your nearest service dealer.
