ATTENTION
CAUTION! To prevent the risk of re or electric shock, install
in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor area free
of conductive contaminants. (See the specications for the
acceptable temperature and humidity range.)
CAUTION! To reduce the risk of overheating the UPS, do
not cover the UPS’ cooling vents and avoid exposing the
unit to direct sunlight or installing the unit near heat emitting
appliances such as space heaters or furnaces.
CAUTION! Do not attach non-computer-related items, such as
medical equipment, life-support equipment, microwave ovens,
or vacuum cleaners to UPS.
CAUTION! Do not plug the UPS input into its own output.
CAUTION! Do not allow liquids or any foreign object to enter
the UPS. Do not place beverages or any other liquid-containing
vessels on or near the unit.
CAUTION! In the event of an emergency, press the OFF button
and disconnect the power cord from the AC power supply to
properly disable the UPS.
CAUTION! Do not attach a power strip or surge suppressor to
the UPS.
CAUTION! If the UPS is with metal chassis, for safety purpose,
grounding is a must during UPS installation in order to reduce
leakage current below 3.5mA.
Attention! Hazardous through electric shock.Also with disconnection
of this unit from the mains, hazardous voltage still may be
accessible through supply from battery. The battery supply
should be therefore disconnected in the plus and minus pole
at the quick connectors of the battery when maintenance or
service work inside the UPS is necessary.

CAUTION! Servicing of batteries should be performed or
supervised by personnel knowledgeable of batteries and the
required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from
batteries.
CAUTION! When replacing the batteries, use the same number
and type of batteries. CAUTION! Internal battery voltage is
12Vdc. Sealed, lead-acid, 6-cell battery.
CAUTION! Do not dispose of batteries in a re. The battery
may explode. Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries.
Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
CAUTION! Unplug the UPS prior to cleaning and do not use
liquid or spray detergent. CAUTION! A battery can present a
risk of electric shock and high short circuit current. The following
precaution should be observed before replacing batteries:
• Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
• Use tools with insulated handles.
• Wear rubber gloves and boots.
• Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
• Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting
batteries terminal.

INSTALLATION & INITIAL STARTUP
NOTE: Before installation, please inspect the unit. Be sure
that nothing inside the package is damaged.
Placement & Storage Conditions
Install the UPS in a protected area that is free of excessive
dust and has adequate air ow. Please place the UPS away
from other units at least 20 cm to avoid interference. Do
NOT operate the UPS where the temperature and humidity
is outside the specic limits. (Please check the specs for the
limitations.)
Connect to Utility and Charging
Plug in the AC input cord to the wall outlet. For the best
results, suggest to charge the battery at least 6 hours before
initial use. The unit charges its battery while connecting to
the utility.
Connect the Loads
Plug in the loads to output receptacles on the rear panel of
the UPS. Simply turn on the switch of UPS unit, then devices
connected to the UPS will be protected by UPS unit.

CAUTION: NEVER connect a laser printer or scanner to
the UPS unit. This may cause the damage of the unit.
Connect USB cable (Optional)
Connect the USB cable to UPS and Computer, insert CD
to computer and follow the wizard to install the monitoring
software properly.
Connect Modem/Phone for Surge Protection (Optional)
Connect a single modem/phone line into surge-protected
“IN” outlet on the back panel of the UPS unit. Connect from
“OUT” outlet to the computer/Modem with phone line cable.
Turn On/Off the Unit
Turn on the UPS unit by pressing the switch. Turn off the
UPS unit by pressing again the switch.

ATENCIÓN
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Para evitar el riesgo de incendio
o descarga eléctrica, instale en un área interior
con temperatura y humedad controladas y libre de
contaminantes conductores. (Consulte las especicaciones
para conocer el rango aceptable de temperatura y
humedad).
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Para reducir el riesgo de
sobrecalentamiento del UPS, no cubra las rejillas de
ventilación del UPS y evite exponer la unidad a la luz solar
directa o instalarla cerca de aparatos que emitan calor, como
calefactores u hornos.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! No conecte elementos que no estén
relacionados con la computadora, como equipos médicos,
equipos de soporte vital, hornos microondas o aspiradoras al
UPS.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! No conecte la entrada del UPS a su
propia salida.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! No permita que entren líquidos ni
ningún objeto extraño en el UPS. No coloque bebidas ni
ningún otro recipiente que contenga líquido sobre o cerca de
la unidad.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! En caso de una emergencia,
presione el botón de APAGADO y desconecte el cable
de alimentación de la fuente de alimentación de CA para
desactivar correctamente el UPS.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! No conecte una regleta o supresor de
sobretensión al UPS.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Si el UPS tiene un chasis metálico, por
motivos de seguridad, la conexión a tierra es imprescindible
durante la instalación del UPS para reducir la corriente de
fuga por debajo de 3,5 mA.

¡Atención! Peligro de descarga eléctrica. Además, con la
desconexión de esta unidad de la red eléctrica, aún se
puede acceder a voltaje peligroso a través del suministro
de la batería. Por lo tanto, el suministro de la batería
debe desconectarse en el polo positivo y negativo en los
conectores rápidos de la batería cuando sea necesario
realizar trabajos de mantenimiento o servicio dentro del
UPS.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! El servicio de las baterías debe ser
realizado o supervisado por personal con conocimientos
sobre baterías y las precauciones requeridas. Mantenga al
personal no autorizado alejado de las baterías.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Cuando reemplace las baterías, use el
mismo número y tipo de baterías.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! El voltaje de la batería interna es de
12Vcc. Batería sellada de plomo-ácido de 6 celdas.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! No tire las baterías al fuego. La batería
puede explotar. No abra ni perfore la batería o las baterías.
El electrolito liberado es dañino para la piel y los ojos.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Desenchufe el UPS antes de limpiarlo
y no use detergente líquido o en aerosol.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Una batería puede presentar un
riesgo de descarga eléctrica y alta corriente de cortocircuito.
Se deben tomar las siguientes precauciones antes de
reemplazar las baterías:
• Quítese relojes, anillos u otros objetos metálicos.
• Utilice herramientas con mangos aislados.
• Use guantes y botas de goma.
• No coloque herramientas o piezas metálicas sobre las
baterías.
• Desconecte la fuente de carga antes de conectar o
desconectar el terminal de las baterías.

INSTALACIÓN Y PRIMERO PASOS
NOTA: Antes de la instalación, inspeccione la unidad.
Asegúrese de que nada dentro del paquete esté dañado.
Condiciones de colocación y almacenamiento
Instale el UPS en un área protegida que esté libre de polvo
excesivo y que tenga un ujo de aire adecuado. Coloque el
UPS alejado de otras unidades al menos 20 cm para evitar
interferencias. NO opere el UPS donde la temperatura y la
humedad estén fuera de los límites especícos. (Consulte
las especicaciones para conocer las limitaciones).
Conecta a la corriente
Enchufe el cable de entrada de CA al tomacorriente de
pared. Para obtener los mejores resultados, sugiera cargar
la batería al menos 6 horas antes del uso inicial. La unidad
carga su batería mientras está conectado.
Conecte los dispositivos

Conecte los dispositivos a los enchufes de salida en el panel
trasero del UPS. Simplemente encienda el interruptor de
la unidad UPS, luego los dispositivos conectados a la UPS
estarán protegidos por la unidad UPS.
PRECAUCIÓN: NUNCA conecte una impresora láser o
un escáner a la unidad UPS. Esto puede provocar daños
en la unidad.
Conecte el cable USB (opcional)
Conecte el cable USB al UPS y la computadora, inserte el
CD en la computadora y siga el asistente para instalar el
software de monitoreo correctamente.
Conecte el módem / teléfono para protección contra
sobretensiones (opcional)
Conecte una sola línea de módem / teléfono en la salida
“IN” protegida contra sobretensiones en el panel posterior
de la unidad UPS. Conéctelo desde la salida “OUT” a la
computadora / módem con un cable de línea telefónica.
Encender / apagar la unidad
Encienda la unidad UPS presionando el interruptor. Apague
la unidad UPS presionando nuevamente el interruptor.
