1. We developed the LITOL Line Surge Protection Device (SPD) to effectively protect all types of electronic equipment
and machinery from induced surge voltages from lightning and from electrical noise. A typical application for it is a control
or switchboard for a building and it is compliant with IEC 616443-11:2011 standard (Class 2) lightning tests

•4(LTM-400R/RF has 5) x 1.2m long 2mm2 insulated wires, terminated with φ4mm ring tongue on one side, φ8mm ring on the
other.

4.Operating Condition
Operating Conditions are -25℃ to 85℃, indoor conditions or a location where water will not ingress.
5. Precautions for use:
① Grounding to Earth needs to be class D or above. Connect lead securely to terminal and follow good connection guidelines.
② Connect device with included wire. If you use other wire, make sure the wire is larger than 2.0 - 5.0mm2.
③ Affix device and wiring securely to protect it from damage.
④ This SPD isn’t waterproof. Its location should protect it from high temperatures or humidity, direct sunlight, dust,
or corrosive gas.
⑤ This protects from induced surges from power lines but doesn’t protect surges on communication lines. It is possible
for there to be a surge so large it enters past the protector and it cannot 100% protect, so damage to devices connected
to it as well as the operation of devices which can harm human life or cause other damage to intellectual property
or data are not covered.
⑥ Remove from circuity if performing a Megger test.

8.Maintenance and Inspection
You should only check the indicator light with the power
connected. Everything else needs to be checked with power cut
to it.
For the LTM-RF series, confirm the LED is lit as right with the power on. If the LED isn’t lit, replace the unit immediately.
Make sure the ground is less than 100Ω.
9.Warrantee
If there are any manufacturing defects in our SPD we will repair or replace it with equivalent for 1 year from the date
of purchase.
This will not prevent damage from a DIRECT lightning strike to it. If a lightning strike exceeding its rating hits it, it
may not be able to protect itself or other electronic devices downstream from it.

【How to connect】
① Check to assure no power is running by turning off the associated
circuit breaker and/or testing the wires for electricity. You may
get a dangerous shock if you do not do this.
② Connect to the secondary side of earth leakage circuit breaker;
ELB, or the secondary side of an unused breaker. In the former
case, the Megger test will be achieved easier with a breaker
installed between LTM series and ELB.
③ Connect the included wires to the main unit.
④ Remove the cover over the terminals on the unit and connect the
colored wires to the correct terminals. Replace the cover
⑤ Attach the unit to a secure location with 4 screws.
⑥ Attach the insulated wires to the secondary side of the earth
leakage breaker or the secondary side of the unused branch
breaker.
⑦ Turn on the earth leakage breaker and the breaker.
