Welcome to use our transceiver. Before using, we recommend you that :
• Please check if any damage to the packing box before using.
• Carefully unpack the transceiver and identify the items listed in the following table ; if any items
or accessories are missing or have been damaged during shipment, contact with the dealer
immediately.
• For your safe and efficient use of the radio, please read the information below.
• Please turn off the radio before you into the inflammable. Aexplosive environment.
• Do not replace or charge the battery in the inflammable. Aexplosive environment.
• Before you near the blasting area and detonator area, please turn off the radio.
• Do not using the radio which antenna is damaged, the damaged antenna touch skin
may cause minor bums.
•Refer service to qualified technicians only; don’t disassemble the radio by yourself.
• To avoid electromagnetic interference and/or compatibility conflicts, turn off your radio
in any facility where posted notices instruct you to do so. For example, the hospital
and other.
• For vehicles with an air bag, do not place the transceiver in the area or in the air bag
deployment area.
• Do not expose the radio to long periods of direct sunlight or place it close to heating
appliances.
•When your portable transceiver is transmitting, hold the transceiver in a vertical position
and close to the microphone to speak.
• If you wear a portable transceiver on your body, please ensure when the transceiver is
transmitting the antenna is at least 2.5 cm from your body.

Getting acquainted

Charging the Battery Pack
The battery pack is not charged at the facory ; charge it before use.
Initially charging the battery pack after purchase or extended storage(greater than 2 months) will
not bring the battery pack to its normal operating capacity. After repeating the charge/discharge
cycle two or three times, the operating capacity will increase to normal.
Note
• The ambient temperature should be between 5 and 40 while charging is in progress. Charging
beyond this range may not fully charge the battery.
• Always switch OFF the transceiver equipped with a battery pack before charging.
•The battery pack life is over when its operating time decreases even though it is fully and correctly
charged. Replace the battery pack.
Do not recharge the battery pack if it is alreadyfully charged. doing so may cause
the life of the battery pack to shorten or the battery pack maybe damaged.
After recharging the battery pack, disconnect it from the charger. charging the battery
pack for more than 5 days may reduce the battery pack life.
Plug the AC adaptor cable into the adaptor
jack located on the rear of the charger.
Plug the AC adaptor into an AC outlet.
Slide the battery pack or transceiver with
a battery pack into the charger.
• Make sure the battery pack contacts are in contact
with the charging terminals.
• The charger LED lights and charging begins.
After charging the supplied battery pack for 4 hours, remove it or the
transceiver equipped with it from the charger.
• The charger turn to green automatically after charging is completed.
Unplug the AC adaptor from the AC outlet.

Getting Started

Installing / Removing the Battery Pack
The average life of the supplied battery pack is 10 hours.
Average time aare calculated using 5% transmit time, 5% receive time, and 90% standby time.
Installing the Antenna
Screw the antenna into the connector on the top transceiver by
holding the antenna at its base and turning it clockwise until secure.
Note :
• Don’t use the antenna as handle, keychain or speaker/microphone hook,
it will damage the antenna and affect the performance of the radio.
Installing the Belt Clip
If necessary, buckle the belt clip, the installation position may become hot during High Temperature
Do not tamper with the battery terminals nor dispose of the battery by fire.
Never attempt to remove the casing from the battery pack.
Match the top of battery
with the frame of chassis.
Push the battery pack to the
connection of chassis and push
down the battery locker
To remove the battery pack,
pull up the battery locker and
slide the pack away from the
transceiver.
Do not use glue which is designed to prevent screw loosening when installing the
belt cilp, as it may cause damage to the transceiver.
Acrylic ester, which is contained in these glues, may crack the transceiver’s back panel.

Installing the Earphone/Speaker Microphone
Plug the earphone/Speaker microphone into the jack.
Note :
• When use the earphone/speaker microphone, the
radio may not waterproof.
Powering UP the Radio
Rotate the On/Off/Volume Control Knobclockwise until you hear a click. The LED blinks green and
the Home screen lights up if the backlight setting is set to turn on automatically.
Note :
The Home screen does not light up during a power up if the LED indicator is disabled. A brief tone
sounds, indicating that the power up test is successful. There is no power up tone if the radio
tone/alerts function is disabled. To turn off the radio, rotate this knob counterclockwise until you
hear a click.
Adjusting the Volume
To increase the volume turn the On/Off/Volume Control Knob clockwise.
To decrease the volume, turn this knob counterclockwise.

If you are not using the jack, cover the jack
by jack cover with supplied screw.
Note :
• To keep the transceiver water resistant,
you must cover the jacks with the supplied
cover and fix the screw.

1. Making and Receiving Calls
Selecting a Zone
A zone is a group of channels. Your radio supports up to 250 zones, with a maximum of
16 channels per zone.
Use the following procedure to select a zone.
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Zone and press [ ] to select
3. The current zone is displayed and indicated by a zone name.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] the required zone then press [ ] to select.
5. The display shows [Zone] selected momentarily and returns to the selected zone screen.
Selecting a RADIO Channel, Subscriber ID, or Group ID
Once the required zone is displayed (if you have multiple zones in your radio), turn the
programmed Channel selector Knob to select the channel, subscriber alias or ID, or group alias
or ID.
Receiving and Responding to a Radio Call
To receive a call from a group of users, your radio must be configured as part of that group.
When you receive a Group Call :
1. The LED blinks green.
2. The first line of the display shows the caller alias, and the RSSI icon. The second line displays
the group alias and the Group Call icon (in Digital mode only)
3. Press [PTT] button to respond to the call, LED indicator lights up red.
4. Release the PTT button to listen.
5. If there is no voice activity for a perdetermined period of time, the call ends.
Reeceiving and Responding to a Private Call
A Private Call is a call from an individual radio to another individual radio.
There are two types of Private Calls. The first type, where a radio presence check is performed
prior to setting up the call, while the other sets up the call immediately.
Procedure :
When you receive a Private Call :
1. The LED blinks green.
2. The first line of the display shows the subscriber alias or ID, and the RSSI icon. The second
line displays Private Call and the Private Call icon.
3. Pree [PTT] button to respond to the call* LED indicator lights up red.
4. Release [PTT] button to listen.
5.If there is no voice activity for a predetermined period of time, the call ends.

Function Introduction

Receiving an All Call
An All Call is a call from an individual radio to every radio on the channel. It is used to make
important announcements requiring the user’s full attention.
Procedure :
When you receive an All Call :
1. LED blinks green.
2. The fist line of the display shows the caller alias or ID, and the RSSI icon. The second line display
All call and the All Call icon.
NOTE : The radio stops receiving the All Call if you switch to a different channel while receiving the call.
Making a Radio Call
You can select a channel, subscriber ID, or group by using :
• The channal Selector Knob
• The programmed number keys
• The contacts list
• Manual Dial (using contacts list) - This method is for Private Calls only and is dialed using
the keypad.
Making a Call with the Channel Selector Knob
Making a Group Call
To make a call to a group of users, your radio must be configured as part of that group.
Procedure :
1. Trun the Channel Selector Knob to select the channel with the acttive group alias or ID.
2. Press the PTT button to make the call. When the target radio responds, the LED light up green.
The display shows the Group icon*group alias or ID, and transmitting radio alias or ID.
3. If there is no voice activity for a predetermined period of time, the call ends. Radio returns to
the screen you were on prior to initiating the call.
Making a Private Call
Procedure :
1. Turn the Channel Selector Knob to select the channel with the active subscriber alias or ID.
2. Press the PTT button to make the call. Thefirst line displays the subscriber alias or ID. The second
line displays Private Call and the Private Call icon.
3. Release the PTT button to lissten. When the target radio responds,
4. if there is no voice activity for a predetermined of time, the call ends. Radio returns to the screen
you were on prior to initiating the call.

Making an All Call
This feature allows you to transmit to all users on the channel. Your radio must be programmed
to allow you to use this feature.
Procedure :
1. Turn the Channel Selector Knob to select the channel with the active All Call group alias or ID.
2. Press the PTT button to make the call, the display shows the All Call group alias or ID, and the
All Call icon. User on the channel cannot respond to an All Call.
Making a Group, Private Call with the One Touch Access Button
The One Touch Access feature allows you to make a Group or Private Call to a predefined alias or
ID easily. This feature can be assigned to a short or long programmable button press. You can only
have one alias or ID assigned to a One Touch Access button. Your radio can have multiple One Touch
Access buttons programmed.
Procedure :
1. Press the programmed One Touch Access button to make a Group or Private Call to the
predefined alias or ID.
2. Press the PTT button to make the call. Thedisplay shows the group/subscriber a;ias or ID,
and the Group/Private CAll icon.
3. Release the PTT button to listen. When the target radio responds, the LED blinks green.
4. If there is no voice activity for a predetermined period of time, the calls ends. Radio returns
to the screen you were on prior to initiating the call.
2. Emergency Operation
An Emergency Alarm is used is used to indicate a critical situation. You are able to initiate an
Emergency at any time on any screen display even when there is activity on the current channel.
Each alarm has the following types :
Disabled : Radio cannot transmit alarm signal, but can receive alarm from other radios.
Regular : Radio transmits an alarm signal and shows audio and/or visual indicators.
Silent : Radio transmits an alarm signal without any audio or visual indicators.
Silent with Voice : In alarm status initiate an alarm, press [PTT] button to call and emit sound.
Exiting Emergency Mode
Your radio exits Emergency mode when one of the following occurs :
• Emergency Alarm acknowledgement is received (for Emergency Alarm only),OR
• All retries to send the alarm have been exhausted, OR
• TheEmergency Off button is pressed.
• Press [PTT] button
NOTE : If your radio is powered off, it exits the Emergency mode. The radio will not reinitiate the
Emergency mode automatically when it is turned on again.

Using the Keypad
You can use the 3x4 alphanumeric keypad to access your radio’s feature. You can use the keypad
to enter subscriber aliases or IDs, and text message. Many characters require that you press a key
multiple times. The table below shows the number of time a key needs to be pressed to generate
the required character.
Function Operation
Press [ ] button to access the menu, Press the appropriate Menu Scroll button [ ] or [ ]
to access the menu functions.
1. Pree [ ] button to select a function or enter a sub-menu ;
2. Press [ ] button to return to the previous screen.
NOTE : Your radio automatically exits the menu after a period of inactivity and returns to your
Home screen. (The time is programmed by softwere)
Radio check
If enabled, this feature allows you to determine if another radio is active in a system without
disturbing the user of that radio. Noaudible or visual notification is shown on the target radio.
This feature is only applicable for subscriber aliases or IDs.
Seending a Radio Check
Procedure :
Using the programmed Radio Check button.
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Contacts and press [ ] to select.

3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required subscriber alias or ID and press
[ ] to select. Or press button to Manual Dial, then press [ ] twice, input
subscriber ID, then press [ ] button.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Radio Check, then press [ ] button.
5. The display shows Radio Check : <Subscriber Alias or ID>, indicating that Radio Check is in progress.
The LED light up red.
6. If the target radio is active in the system, a tone sounds and the display briefly shows Target
Radio Available OR if the target radio is not active in the system, a tone sounds and the display
briefly shows Target Radio Not Available.
7. Radio returns to the subscriber alias or ID screen. Ifthe [ ] button is pressed when the radio
is waiting for acknowledgement, the radio terminates all retries and exits Radio Check mode.
Remote Monitor
Use the Remote Monitor feature to turn on the microphone of a target radio (subscriber alias or IDs
only). No audible or visual indication is given to the target radio. You can use this feature to monitor,
remotely, any audible activity surrounding the target radio. Your radio must be programmed to allow
you to ues this feature.
Initiating Remote Monitor
Procedure :
Use the programmed Remote Monitor button.
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Contacts, then press [ ] button to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required subscriber alias or ID and press [ ] button to
select OR press [ ] or [ ] button to Manual Dial, then press [ ] twice. Input subscriber
alias or ID and press [ ] button.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Remote Monitor and press [ ] button.
5. The screen display remote monitor : < Subscriber alias or ID >, indicating that
Remote Monitor is in progress. The LED blinks red.
6. The display shows Remote Monitor Successful OR The display shows Remote Monitor Failed.
7. Ifsuccessful : The radio stars receiving audio from the monitored radio for a programmed duration.
Once the timer expires, LED turns off.
Contacts Settings
Contacts provide “address-book” capabilities on your radio. Each entry corresponds to an alias or ID
that you use to initiate a call.

Each entry within Contacts displays the follwing information :
• Call Type
• Call Alias
• Call ID
NOTE : you can add, delete, or edit contacts for the Digital Contacts list.
Making a Group Call from Contact
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Contacts and press [ ] button to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required group ailas or ID
4. Press [PTT] button to make the call, release the PTT button to listen, when any user in the group
responds, the LED blinks green. You see Group Call icon on ypur display.
Making a Private Call from Contacts
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] toaccess the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Contacts and press [ ] button.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required subscriber alias or ID. OR press
[ ] or [ ] button to Manual Dial and press [ ] button twice, use the
keypad to input the subscriber ID.
4. Press [PTT] button to make the call. The first line displays the subscriber alias or ID. The second
line displays Private Call and the Private Call icon.
5. Release the PTT button to listen. When the target radio responds, the LED blinks green and the
display shows the transmitting user’s ID.
6. If there is no voice activity for a programmed period of time, the call ends.
Call log Features
Your radio keeps track of all recent outgoing, answered, and missed Private Calls. Use the call log
feature to view and manage recent calls.
Viewing Recent Calls
The lists are Missed, Answered, and Outgoing.
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] toaccess the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to call Log and press [ ] button.

3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to preferred list and press [ ] button.
4. The display shows the most recent at the top of the list.
5. Press [ ] or [ ] to view the list.
Storing an Alias or ID from the Missed Call list
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Call Log amd press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Missed and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] button to required missed call alias or ID and press [ ] to select.
5. Press [ ] or [ ] to Store and press [ ] to select.
6. A blinking cursor appears. If needed, Key in the alias for that ID and press [ ] button.
7. The display shows Contact Saved.
You can also input an ID without an alias.
Deleting a Call from a Call list
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Call Log and press [ ] button to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required list and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] button to the required alias or ID and press [ ] to select.
5. Press [ ] or [ ] to Delete Entry and press [ ] to select whether to delete this entry.
6. Select “Yes” and press [ ] to delete the entry. The display shows Entry Deleted OR select
“NO” and press [ ] button to return to the previous screen.
When you select a call list and it contains no entries, the display shows List Empty.
Call Alert Operation
Call Alert paging enables you to alert a specific radio user to call you back when they are able to
do so. This feature is applicable for subscriber aliases or IDs only and is accessible through the menu
via Contacts or manual dial.
Receiving and Responding to a Call Alert
When you receive a Call Alert page, you see Call Alert that alternates with the alias or ID of the
calling radio on the display.
Procedure :
1. LED blinks red.
2. Press and release [PTT] button to confirm the prompt, or press [ ] button to select “lgnore?”
and to exit the Call Alert.

Making a Call Alert from the Contact List
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Contacts and press [ ] toselect.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to the required subscriber alias or ID and press [ ] to select. OR press
to Manual Dial and press [ ] button twice to select, the display shows a blinking cursor, input
the subscriber ID you wanr to page and press [ ] button.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Call Alert and press [ ] button. The display shows Call Alert :
< Subscriber Alias or ID>, indicating that the Call Alert has been sent.
5. The LED light up red when your radio is sending the Call Alert.
6. If the Call Alert acknowledgement is received, a tone sounds and the display shows Call Alert
Successful. OR if the Call Alert acknowledgement is not received, a tone sounds and the display
show Call Alert Failed.
Text Message Features
Your radio is able to receive data, for example a text message from another radio. The maximum
length of characters for a text message is 164.
NOTE : Press [ ] at any time to return to previous screen.
Writing and Sending Text Message
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Messages and press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Write and press [ ] to select.
4. A blinking cursor appears, use the keypad to type your message. Press [ ] to move one
space to the left. Press [ ] or the [ ] key to move one space to the right. Press [ ]
key to delete any unwanted characters.
5. Press [ ] button to send or store once message is completed.
6. Select Send and press [ ] or [ ] to the required alias or ID and press [ ] to sent the
message, or press [ ] or [ ] to Manual Dial, press [ ] button, input subscriber ID and
press [ ] button.
7. The display shows Text Message :< Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>, confirming your message is
being sent.
8. If the message is sent, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if the message
is not sent,

a high tone sounds and the display shows Message Send Failed. If the text message fails to send,
the radio returns you to the Resend option screen.
Sending a Quick Text Message
Your radio supports a maximum of 50 Quick Text messages as programmed by your dealer.
While Quick Text messages are predefined, you can edit each message before sending it.
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] button enter into menu mode.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Message and press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Quick Text and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to required Quick Text and press [ ] to select.
5. A blinking cursor appears. Use the keypad to edit the message, if required. Press [ ] to move
one space to the left. Press [ ] or the [ ] key to move one space to the right. Press [ ]
key to delete
any unwanted characters.
6. Press [ ] button to send or store once message is completed.
7. Select Send and press [ ] or [ ] to the required alias or ID and press [ ] to send the
message, or press [ ] or [ ] to Manual Dial, press [ ] button, input subscriber ID and
press [ ] button.
8. The display shows Text Message :< Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>, confirming your message is
being sent.
9. If the message is sent successfully, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if
the message cannot be sent, a high tone sounds and the display shows Message Send Failed.
If the text message fails to send, the radio returns you to the Resend option screen. You can
also press One touch Access button to send a predefined Quick Text message to a predefined
alias or ID.
Managing Fall-to-Send Text Messages
You can select one of the following options while at the Resend option screen :
• Resend
• Forward
• Edit
Resend Text Message
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to resend the same message to the same subscriber/group alias or ID.
2. If the message is sent successfully, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if the
message cannot be sent, the display shows Message Send Failed.

Forwarding a Text Message
Select Forward to send the message to another subscriber/group alias or ID.
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] or [ ] to Forware and press [ ] to select.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to required alias or ID and press [ ] to send. OR press [ ] or [ ]
to Manual Dial and press [ ] , input subscriber ID then press [ ] button.
3. The display shows Text Message : <Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>. confirming your message is
being sent.
4. If the message is sent successfully, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if
the message is not sent, a high tone sounds and the display shows Message Send Failed.
Editing a Text Message
Select Edit to the message before sending it.
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] or [ ] button to Edit and press [ ] button.
2. A blinking cursor appears beside the message. Use the keypad to edit your message.
press [ ] to move one space to the left. Press [ ] or the [ ] key to move one space
to the right. Preess [ ] key to delete any unwanted characters.
3. Press [ ] button to send or store once message is completed.
4. Select Send and press [ ] or [ ] to the required alias or ID and press [ ] to send the
message, or press [ ] or [ ] to Manual Dial, press [ ] button, input subscriber ID and
press [ ] button.
5. The display shows Text Message :< Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>, confirming your message is
being sent.
6. If the message is sent successfully, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if
the message cannot be sent, a high tone sounds and the display shows Message Send Failed.
Managing Sent Text Message
Once a message is sent to another radio, it is saved in sent Items. The most recent sent text
message is always added to the top of the Sent Items list.
The Sent Items folder is capable of storing a maximum of fifty (50) last sent message. When the
folder is full, the next sent text message automatically replaces the oldest text message in the folder.
NOTE : Press [ ] at any time to return to the previous screen.
Viewing a Sent Text Message
Procedure :
1. Press [MENU] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Message and press [ ] to select
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Sent Items and press [ ] to select.

Sending aa Sent Text Message
You can select one of the following options while viewing a sent text message :
• Resend
• Forward
• Edit
• Delete
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] again while viewing the message.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Resend and press [ ] to send message.
3. The display shows Text Message :<Subscriber/Group alias or ID>, confirming that the same
message is being sent to the same target radio.
4. If the message is sent, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if the message
is not sent, a high tone sounds and the display shows Message Send Failed. The radio returns
to the Resend option screen. Press [ ] to resend the message to the same subscriber/group
alias or ID.
• Select Forwars to sent the selected text message to another subscriber/group alias or ID.
• Select Edit to edit the selected text message before sending it.
• Select Delete to deleete the text message.
Deleting All Sent Text Message from Sent Items
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] button to menu mode.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Message andpress [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Sent Items and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to Delete All and press [ ] to select.
5. At Delete Message?, press [ ] to select Yes. The display shows Sent Items Cleared. OR at
Delete Message?, press [ ] or [ ] to No and press [ ] to return to the previous screen.
When you select Sent Item and it contains no text message, the display shows List Empty.
Receiving a Text Message
When your radio receives a message, the display shows the alias or ID of the sender and the
Message icon
at the far left of the screen.
You can select one of the following options when receiving a text message :
• Read?
• Read Later
• Delete

Reading a Text Message
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] or [ ] to Read? And press [ ] to select.
2. Selected message in the Inbox opens, press [ ] to return to Home Screen or press [ ]
or [ ] enter into Read Later or Delete option screen.
• Select Read Later to return to the screen you were on prior to receiving the text message.
• Select Delete to delete the text message.
Managing Received Text Message
Use the Inbox to manage your text messages. The Inbox is capable of storing a maximum of
50 messages. Your radio supports the following options fos text messages :
• Reply
• Forward
• Delete
• Delete All
Text message in the Inbox are sorted according to the most recently received.
NOTE : Prss [ ] at any time to return to the previous screen.
Viewing a Text Message from the Inbox
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Messages and press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Inbox and press [ ] button.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to view the messages.
5. Press [ ] to select current message, and press [ ] again to reply, forward or delete that
message. Unread messages are indicated with an exclamation mark. (!).
Replying to a Text Message from the Inbox
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Message and press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Inbox and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to the required message and press [ ] to button.
5. Press [ ] once more to access the sub-menu.
6. Press [ ] or [ ] to Reply and press [ ] to select.
7. Press [ ] or [ ] to Write and press [ ] button. Ablinking cursor appears. Use the
keypad to write

you message. OR press [ ] or [ ] to Quick Text and press [ ] to select. After selecting
the needed
message press [ ] button. A blinking cursor appears. Use the keypad to edit your message,
if required.
8. Press [ ] to select Send and press [ ] button once message is completed.
9. The display shows Text Message :<Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>, confirming your message is
being sent.
10. If the message is sent successfully, a tone sounds and the display shows Message Sent. OR if
the message cannot be sent, the display shows Messge Send Failed. If the message fails to send,
the radio returns to the Resend option screen.
Delete a Text Message from the Inbox
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Messages and press [ ] to select.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Inbox and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to the required message and press [ ] to select.
5. Press [ ] once more to access the sub-menu.
6. Press [ ] or [ ] to Delete and press [ ] button.
7. At Delete Message?, press [ ] or [ ] to Yes and press [ ]. The display shows Message
Deleted.
Delete All Text Messages from the inbox
Procedure :
1. Press [ ] to access the menu.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to Messages and press [ ] to select3
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to Inbox and press [ ] to select.
4. Press [ ] or [ ] to Delete All and press [ ] button.
5. At Delete Message?, press [ ] or [ ] to Yes and press [ ]button.
6. The display shows Inbox Cleared.
When you select the Inbox and it contains no text messages, the display shows List Empty.
Privacy
If enabled, this feature helps to prevent eavesdropping by unauthorized users on a channel by
the use of a software based svrambling solution. Your radio must have privacy enabled on the
channel to send a privacy enabled transmission.
To unscramble a privacy-enabled call or data transmission, your radio must be programmed to
have the same Key Value and Key ID as the transmitting radio.
If your radio receives a scrambled call that is of a different Key Value and Key ID, you will hear
chaos sound. You can preprogram 16 group privacy, encryption keys by software, press programmed
