It is saftey-relevant to strictly follow the Quick-Start-Guide
FLIGHT PLANNING
Weather conditions
• Wind ground: max. 9 m/s (17.5 kn) (see picture)
• Wind in flight: max. 12 m/s (23 kn)
• Temperature: -12 °C to 50 °C (10.4 °F to 122 °F)
• Do not y in rain or snow.
Be aware that there is no software restriction between
1500 m – 4000 m regarding the wind tolerance (ground).

Mission planning in QBase 3D Check
UAV ASSEMBLY
Set up the laptop and open QBase Check
Set up the QBase modem and connect it to the Laptop Check
Set up the ADS-B receiver Check
Set up the iBase
• Micro SD-card is inserted
• Antenna center is exactly above the reference mark
• Not shaded by objects
• Stay away min. 5 meters
• Power bank is connected and powered
• iBase is recording (blue LED blinking)

• Obligatory: ight location > 50 km away from the last ight location
• Calibration and take-off area is free of metal (parking decks, cars, metal structures) or
any devices causing electric or magnetic elds (power lines, generators, mobile phones)

QUICK-START-GUIDE
Wind direction
• Re-/transition is set against the wind direction!
• Retransition with tailwind: per 1m/s tailwind ~ 20 meter deviation
• Windcheck in the immediate surrounding
• Do not take-off in a wind sheltered area (lee) as turbulances may occur

The UAV will return home and land automatically. The mission cannot be continued.
Battery critical No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance.
The UAV will return home and land automatically. The mission cannot be continued.
Battery low A warning 10 minutes before the UAV returns home due to battery capacity. Please select Come Home.
Hover time
exceeded
No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance. The UAV will land automatically.
 The flight cannot be continued.
Elevator malfunction Come Home is automatically initiated. In severe cases, an immediate retransition and landing is performed.
Do not y again, contact your reseller.
Link lost No manual input necessary.  Wait until link reconnects.  The UAV will perform the mission as planned in
the meantime or come back home and land automatically (depending on link-lost setting).
Motor temperature
too high
No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance. The UAV will land automatically.
 The flight cannot be continued.
Transition
airspeed too low
No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance.
The UAV will return home and land automatically.  The mission cannot be continued.
Wrong
direction
No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance. The UAV will automatically try to turn into the
transition cone to continue with the transition.  If this is not possible it will automatically return home and
land.
Wind speed No manual input necessary.  The mission is automatically continued.
Wind too strong No manual input necessary except for collision avoidance.
The UAV will return home and land automatically.  The mission cannot be continued.
