Keyboard Ergonomicallydesigned, yellowkeyboardwithsixblackBraille
keys and sevenblue keys that tellthe Mountbatten what to
do.
Embossing
head
Small silvermetalassembly. Brailledotsareembossed
underneath.
Onstart-up, theembossing head movestotheright hand
marginand backtoidentifypapersize.
ReadingTable Aflat aluminiumsection onwhichsupportsthepaperwhen
reading.The tablehasagroovealong it toalign the topof the
page. Layanewpage flaton thereading tabletoassist with
loading paper.
Margin
Adjusters
Bothmarginadjustershavegripwheelstohelpfeed thepaper
through.
The left marginadjusterisfixed.
The right marginadjustermovestoaccommodatepapersize.
PaperBail Along metalbarwithtworubberwheelsthat sit across the
reading table. The paperbailholdspaperinplaceduring
embossing.
It isspring loaded foreasyremoval. Slide right hand marginto
farright, grippaperbailandpushtoleft toremove.
It isbest removedwhen achildiswriting and reading Braille,
giving unimpeded access.

Ayellowplasticlever,located tothe right oftheembossing
area,liftsupand back. It must be lifted inordertoinsert
paper.
Whenlifted it releasesthe right marginadjusterand prompts
an audioresponse.
Whenreturned tolock position, theaudioresponseprompt
says “OK”andthe embossinghead checks forthe sizeof the
page inserted bymoving between the marginadjusters.
Ruler Ascalebaratthe front ofthe embossingareatohelpre-align
aBrailledpage.

Whateveryoutype willbe embossed on the paper.
It doesfeeldifferent tootherBraillekeyboardsyou mayhave
used. However, simplypracticealittlewithit, and you willfind
you can Braillefasterand forlongerperiodsthan everbefore.

used isthe biggest determinantof noise.The lighterthe
paperthe less noise. TheMBhasbeen engineered to

LearnMode LearnMode providesasafestartingpoint. Itisidealforthe
young Braillelearner. InLearnMode yourMBLSisaBraille
writeronly.The MBLSisinLearnMode when you first
receiveit fromyoursupplier. InLearnMode, the command
keyisdisabled bydefault.
