Thank you for purchasing this product. At Quest we take every care to ensure that the product
fulls your expectations. We hope you enjoy using this product.
General Use
This product is not a toy and should never be used by children. Please ensure children
are supervised at all times. NEVER use the product is any part of it becomes damaged.
• Please keep these instructions, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton along
with all the inner packaging in case it is needed in the future.
• Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the product.
• Take the product out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the product.
• This product is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the use of the product by a person that is responsible for
their safety.
• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for any damage
or injury caused by the product.
• To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never
leave the product unattended. Therefore you have to select a storage place for the product where
children are not able to grab it and ensure the cable is not hanging in a downward position.
• The user must not leave the product unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
• Keeping this product clean will increase its life span and avoid unnecessary wear.
• Make sure that the product is stored in a dry environment.
• Check if the voltage of the product corresponds to the main voltage of your supply.
• This product complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled
properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the product is safe to use based
on scientic evidence available today.
• Never move the product by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled
and do not wind it around the product.
• To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord plug or product in the
water or any other liquid.
• Do not use this product with a damaged cord or plug or when the product has malfunctions, or
has been damaged in any manner.
• Children shall not play with the product.
• Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children.

• There are two versions of the LED lighting strip a main unit (E0082) and an extension unit (E0083),
both are shown below.

Storage
To help keep your product looking newer for longer and prolong the life and use of the product,
we recommend that the product is covered and protected when not in use.
If the product is not going to be used for an extended period (such as a winter period) we
recommend that it is carefully packed away and stored in a clean, dry and free from damp
location.
Using the light
• First take the power cable and plug one end into your light and the other end into the plug (either
12V or 240V).
• Then put the plug in. The light may not come straight on. If this is the case simply press the on
button on the remote control.
• Once the light is plugged in as above you can use the remote control to turn the light on, off or turn
the brightness of the light up or down by using the appropriate buttons.
Extending the light
• You can extend the light by adding an extra main unit or extension unit to your existing main
unit. When extending the unit please ensure the main unit is unplugged before connecting the
additional(s) lights.
• The process is :
• First ensure that the main light works by following the using the light instructions above.
• Then unplug the main light from the power source.
• Then take the cable from your extension light and plug one end into the main light and the other
end into your extension light.
• Repeat the above if you are connecting three together.
• Once all your lights are connected then replug the main light in.
• As before the light may not come straight on. If this is the case simply press the on button on the
remote control.
• Please note that you may have to turn off and on to get it to work if you have more than one
main unit connected together as the remote control sensors have to be in sync before they start
working correctly.
• Once the light is plugged in as above you can use the remote control to turn the light on, off or turn
the brightness of the light up or down by using the appropriate buttons

Care and Cleaning Instructions
Never use and harsh or abrasive cleaners or brushes when cleaning this product as the product
could easily be damaged. Never submerge this item in water as it will penetrate the light and
possibly cause damage and invalidate your warranty.
Before cleaning ensure that the plugs in both ends of the light are fully inserted in place.
• Servicing : This is an electrical component and as such it is recommended to get it checked
regularly. This is simply to ensure that the product is still running correctly and at the correct
performance. This service should only be done by a fully qualified technician.
• Care : Please take care to ensure the product is not damaged in any way as this can impact
performance or cause a catastrophic failure. This care includes (but is not limited to)
scratches, dents, no dropping, water ingress, dirt and dust.
• Cleaning :
• Light : We recommend using a soft brush to brush any loose dirt off the lights. Then clean
with a damp , soft cloth ensuring taht you do not get water into either end of the light. Never
submerse the light in water. Then dry with soft lint free cloth..
• Plugs : NEVER clean these with water or anythig damp as this will damage them and ALWAYS
unplug them before cleaning. If they do get dirty we recommend letting them dry first and then
simply brushing them down with a soft brush and wiping over with a completely dry absorbant
towel (such as kitchen towel).
• Cables : We recommend simply brushing them down with a soft brush and wiping over with a

• Remote Control : NEVER clean this with water or anythig damp as this will damage them. If it
does get dirty/wet we recommend letting it dry first and then simply brushing it down with a

Troubleshooting Tips
Whilst these lights should give you years of use, you may find sometimes that they have issues.
This is usually down to dirt or debris getting into the connecting parts of the cables, or them
simply not being connected correctly, so these should always be checked and kept clean.
As there are multiple parts to these lights you should always first locate which part is having the
issue as this can make it easier to fix most issues.
If the lights do not turn on.
If you have issues with the light, you need to check each part t isolate where the issue is. Each of
which are listed below :
Remote Control : First check that the battery is okay by using it in another device, checking it with
a battery check, or by replacing it with a new one. Once this is done check that the remote control
is synced with the light correctly by following the sync instructions below.
Plugs : Next check the plugs, by testing the light on both the 12v and 240v plugs. Also check the
socket that it is put into by using another device from the same socket.
Connecting Cable : if you have purchased more than one SuperNova light then you can also test
the conneting cables by switching them over and testing the light with each cable.
Syncing the remote with the lights.
You can find that the remote control fails to sync with the lights and does not work. If this is the
case first check the battery is okay as this is the most usual reason for this happening. Once you
have checked / replaced the battery to re-sync your remote follow this procedure :
• Note : The remote control should be used within 5M of the remote sensor. Whilst it may work
further away when synced, the sync process will not work if the remote control is further than
5M away from the sensor.
• Unplug the lights from the mains and leave unplugged for 5 minutes.
• Connect the 240v plug to the 5M connecting cable and the 5M connecting cable to the light.
• Then ensure you have the remote handy and connect the 5M cable to the light. Within 5
seconds of connecting the light press the green ON button on the remote. The light should
then come on straight away. if it does not simply press the green ON button again and this
time the lights will come on. The remote should now control the light correctly.

Warranty : 12 Months (1 Year) warranty.
Warranty Claim
• In the unlikely event of a warranty claim, you must contact your retailer.
• If you have not registered your product, rst ll out the registration form overleaf and take this
with you when you go to your retailer.
• Take the product to your retailer that you purchased it from along with your proof of purchase and
explain the issue with the retailer.
• The retailer will then check the product and get in touch with the wholesaler or manufacturer.
• The retailer will keep you informed of the progress of the claim.
• The wholesaler or manufacturer will not (unless under special circumstances) get in touch with
you as all information will be passed back directly to the retailer.
Warranty Information
• This product comes with a full 12 month manufacturers defect warranty and covers any
manufacturers defects for one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. It does not cover
any damage occurred though:
• The product falling, being dropped, scratched or damaged in any way.
• The product has been technically changed by the owner or another third party
• Improper use of the product.
• Normal wear and tear - which includes (but is not limited to): colour fading, wearing, stretching.
• Weather damage - which includes (but is not limited to) U.V. degradation and colour changing.
• The affected part will be replaced or repaired (manufacturers option) if they are found to be
defective within the one (1) year time frame.
• The warranty will be void if the product has been subject to neglect, misuse, improper installation,
misapplication, alteration or accident including, but not limited to, improper installation,
maintenance or use of unauthorised parts or attachments.
• Damage caused by not following the instruction manual in full will invalidate the warranty, if
this results in consequential damages, Quest will not be liable for these damages or any costs
incurred due to these damages.
• Quest will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the
safety instructions are not properly executed in full.
• All claims must be made though the retailer you purchased the product from and not direct with
the wholesaler or manufacturer.
• Warranty claims cannot be honoured without an original dated receipt and or proof of purchase.
• By executing repairs the original warranty period of one (1) year will not be extended, nor the right
to a complied new warranty. This warranty is only legal on European soil.
• This warranty does not overrule the European directive 2011/83/EU.
• This product may not be amended or changed.
