End of Sale/End of Life for Call Routing Server
The first generation Call Routing Server product is being replaced by the new second
generation Call Routing Server product. The new Call Routing Server II software, running on
the Quintum ApplicationServer platform, will be launched on June 5, 2006.
The last day to order old Call Routing Server was May 31, 2006.
Introduction
The original Call Routing Server was first introduced in February 2003. This product has been
successfully deployed and providing reliable, high quality voice over IP services in enterprise
and service provider applications in over 50 countries throughout the world.
End of Sale and End of Life
This document outlines the End of Sale (EoS) and End of Life (EoL) plan for the Call Routing
Server product.
The reason for this EoL notice is the discontinuation of the old server platform, and the
introduction of the new Call Routing Server II software product, running on Quintum’s new
ApplicationServer platform, which will replace the original server platform. Initial versions of the
Call Routing Server II will provide a maximum call rate of 20 call per second, higher capacities
will be available in due course when a more powerful variant of the ApplicationServer platform is
released –
•Call routing capacity up to 20 calls per second in the a new smaller footprint
•Lower initial entry price
•Simpler software upgrade option structure
•Call Routing Server II software only runs on the ApplicationServer platform
Recommended Product Migration
The recommended replacement for the original Call Routing Server product is the new Call
Routing Server II software, running on the ApplicationServer platform, which offers the same
call routing features as its predecessor, in a smaller, more cost effective, package.
