BOILER OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES FOR USERS
Before turning on the boiler read the following warnings carefully .
Make sure that the warranty booklet carries the stamp of the CORGI registered technician (you can check this by contacting
corgi on 01256.372200) responsible for installing the boiler. Installation, starting up for the first time, adjustments and
maintenance operations must all be carried out solely by qualified technicians. Incorrect installation may cause damage to
persons, animals or property for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable.
WARNING!
⇒ Do not start the boiler unless you are sure it has been thoroughly tested by an authorised technician.
⇒ Check that the regulations regarding air intakes and ventilation of the room where the boiler is installed have been
fully complied with.
⇒ If the boiler should freeze up, under no circumstances attempt to turn it on but call the RADIANT HELP LINE
immediately.

PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
-Open the gas cock (not supplied as standard) located immediately upstream of the heater on the gas intake pipe.
-Set switch 1 to ON: power indicator no. 3will light up. (see fig. 1)
-Open the hot water tap: the d. h. water operation indicator no.4 will light up and the exhaust fan will turn on. The electronic
ignition board will turn on the main burner. When the water demand stops, the burner will turn off and the water heater will
wait for the next water demand.
-If flame does not ignite, after 10 seconds the gas flow is interrupted and the water heater shuts down. The indicator no.5will
light up.
-Shut down requires manual resetting: to restore operation, wait ten seconds and then push reset button 5. Re-ignition is
provided if the main burner accidentally shuts down. The heater will shut down if the burner does not resume operation after
ten seconds.
-The solenoids will cut gas flow in the vent of electrical failure. When electrical power is restored, repeat the ignition sequence.
-These devices are built to operate with normal water pressure (not exceeding 6 bar), and are equipped with a water
temperature adjustment knob (40°- 60°C) see fig. 1 no. 2.
MINIMUM water temperature (40°C) is obtained by turning temperature knob 2 all the way to the left.
MAXIMUM water temperature (60°C) is obtained by turning temperature knob all the way to the right.
-Whatever the position of the temperature knob, the burner modulates according to flow rate (modulation of flow rate)
- To put the device out of service, cut electrical power, set switch 1 to OFF and close the gas cock.

WARNINGS FOR THE USER
To keep the water heater in efficient and safe operating condition, carefully follow the instructions listed below:
 Have normal maintenance performed at least once a year by one of our authorised service centres. (A fee will be charged).
 Do not clean the water heater casing or internal parts with diluents or solvents. Clean with water and soap only.
 If the water heater is not to be used for an extended period, cut electrical power by setting switch 1 to OFF and close the
gas tap. It is also advisable to drain all water from the system.

 Please ensure you have a fully completed BENCHMARK BOOKLET and this is kept with your installation instructions.
