Safety Instructions
Safety instructions app y to operators and service personne . Read these instructions before preparing the video
game machine (VGM) for p ay. Other safety instructions appear throughout this manua .
WARNING: TRANSPORTING THE VIDEO GAME MACHINE (VGM).
The VGM contains g ass and fragi e e ectronic devices. Use appropriate care when transporting . Avoid rough
hand ing when moving the VGM.
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER.
A ways turn the power OFF and unp ug the VGM before attempting service or adjustments un ess otherwise
instructed. Insta ing or repairing components with the power switched ON can damage the components an void
warranty.
WARNING: GROUND GAMES.
Avoid e ectrica shock! Do not p ug in the VGM unti you have inspected and proper y grounded it. On y p ug into a
grounded, three-wire out et. Do not use a “cheater” p ug, or cut off the ground pin on the ine cord.
WARNING: AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCKS.
This VGM does not uti ize an iso ation transformer. Interna cabinet AC is not iso ated from the externa AC ine.
WARNING: HANDLE FLOURESCENT TUBE AND CRT WITH CARE.
If you drop a f uorescent tube or CRT and it breaks, it wi imp ode! Shattered g ass can f y eight feet or more from
the imp osion.
WARNING: CHECK POWER SELECTOR, LAMP.
Set the 115/230 VAC se ector switch on the power supp y for the correct ine vo tage on the insta ation site. Verify
that the f uorescent amps are rated for the proper ine vo tage.
WARNING: USE PROPER FUSE.
Avoid e ectrica shock! Rep acement fuses must be identica y rated to the origina fuse!
WARNING: ATTACH CONNECTORS PROPERLY.
Be sure a connectors mate proper y. If connectors do not s ip in easi y, do not force them. Connectors are often
keyed and on y connect one way. Check for correct orientation.
WARNING: USE EXTREME CARE WHEN HANDLING PC.
The PC contains sensitive components such as a hard drive. Do not hand e rough y. Ca your distributor before
servicing PC interna components. Ask about warranty information as it re ates to the PC.

epi eptic seizures or have momentary oss of consciousness when viewing certain kinds of
f ashing ights or patterns that are present in our dai y environment. These persons may
experience seizures whi e watching some kinds of te evision pictures or p aying certain video
games. Peop es who have not had any previous seizures may nonethe ess have an undetected
epi eptic condition.
If you or anyone in your fami y has experienced symptoms inked to an epi eptic condition (e.g.,
seizures or oss of awareness), immediate y consu t your physician before using any video
games.
We recommend that parents observe their chi dren whi e they p ay video games. If you or your
chi d experience the fo owing symptoms: dizziness, a tered vision, eye or musc e twitching,
invo untary movements, oss of awareness, disorientation, or convu sions, DISCONTINUE USE
IMMEDIATELY and consu t your physician.

INSPECTION AND INSTALLATION
WARNING: Use extreme care when moving or servicing the game cabinet. Don’t p ug in the game unti you
have read this manua . If the line cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar cord available from
the manufacturer or service agent.
P ease check the fo owing after the game has been removed from its shipping crate and p aced in a suitab e p ay
or service area.
Make sure that the game cabinet is eve . Adjust the casters as needed.
1. Check the AC ine cord for any visib e signs of damage to the p ug or ine cord insu ation.
2. Check for possib e shipping damage to the fo owing:
•P ayer interfaces: steering whee , buttons, keypad and shifter.
•Seat assemb y.
•Monitor g ass.
•Cabinet backdoor.
•Cabinet coin door.
•Cabinet and seat deca s.
3. Remove the coin door key from the coin return chute.
4. Open the top coin door and ocate the key for the backdoor and the cashbox.
5. Locate hardware kit: tamper proof too kit

6. Remove the backdoor the backdoor from the cabinet and visua y inspect the e ectronic components.
7. Verify that a connectors are secure and that the bottom of the cabinet is free of oose objects which may
have possib y come oose during shipping.
CAUTION: Access to back of the games shou d be imited to service personne on y! A ow minimum c earance
between back of game and wa structure for cab e and venti ation whi e preventing non-authorized access.
Maximum c earance shou d be 6 inches (15 cm), in accordance with oca code or whichever is ess.

Seat Assembly Procedure
WARNING: The cabinet is top heavy. Insta on y on eve surface. Use the eg eve ers to make sure the cabinet
and seat are stab e. Do not push against p astic parts during movement.
1. Ro the cabinet and seat to the intended ocation and ower the eg eve ers unti both are equa height
and stab e.
2. Reach inside the base of the cabinet remove the bo ts to fasten a mounting rai to the cabinet and set
aside. Individua y pu the rai out, f ip it end over end and reinsert it. Fasten the rai to the inside of the
cabinet with bo ts unti finger tight; some movement is required in the mounting rai s to a ign ho es with
seat pedesta assemb y. Repeat for the mounting rai on the other side. See diagram.

4. Ro the pedesta near the cabinet and
a ign the opening in the pedesta with
the ends of the rai s. S ide the pedesta
forward onto the rai s eaving enough
space to attach the wiring harness.
Mate each cab e connector and press
firm y to seat the contacts. Ensure no
wires are pinched during the pedesta
attachment. Fasten in p ace with the ¼”
X 20 tamper resistant screws and arge
f at washers provided.
5. Tighten the screws firm y with the
wrench provided, and then tighten the
bo ts for the mounting rai s.
6. Adjust a eve ers unti both cabinet and seat are f ush and para e with each other. Inspect for pinched
wires before firm y tightening the remaining fasteners to attach the two pieces as one.
Po er Up Procedure
1. P ug the game ine cord into an appropriate y wired and fused AC receptac e.
2. Locate the game AC main switch to the bottom eft side on back of the game cabinet.
3. Turn the switch to the ON position.
4. The game attract feature wi begin after the game is finished oading- approximate y 1 minute.
5. Proceed to Switch Test of this document and verify proper game operation.

Game Net orking
NOTICE: To ink the two games together, use the crossover cab e provided in the spare parts bag. Use of
another cab e other than the one shipped with the game cou d void warranty or cause games not to ink. Use
network cab es which are at east CAT5 grade.
Net orking Considerations
Each FNF Super Cars game comes with a network cab e. Optiona y, a hub can be insta ed and ocated remote y
to ink additiona units.
Take care to protect exposed game wiring from genera foot traffic around the game. Use a conduit or wire way to
protect the cab es as needed.
P ease mark inking cab es for your game if other such cab es are in the vicinity to avoid confusion. Network
cab es are not marked or coded.
Avoid routing the network cab es near sources of heat, moisture or e ectrica energy such as neon ights,
compressor motors, transformers etc.
Net orking Setup
1. Remove the network cab e from the spare parts bag inside the cashbox.
2. Connect each end of the cab e to network jack behind each PC.
3. Neat y route the cab e through the notch on the back of the cabinet.
4. Use the SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT in TEST MODE be ow for enab ing ink feature .Press TEST Button to
access TEST MENU. Iis mounted inside the coin door of the cabinet.
5. Reset both games simu taneous y and verify that ink is successfu . If not, check the settings for Machine ID
conf ict and make sure that the network cab e is connected proper y and secured. P ease refer to the Game
Troub eshooting Guide on this manua for more detai s.

SETUP AND TEST MENU VOL (+)
Locate the Service Button Pane . The Service Button
Pane is made up of two rocker switches. Simp y press the
side of the switch indicated by the function you want to
activate. It is mounted inside the coin door area on top of the
cash box vau t. Press the TEST button to access the
Test Menu.

Diagnostics Menu
From the Main Menu, se ect Diagnostics and enter to view options.
S itch Test
From the Diagnostics se ect and enter Switch Test. Verify proper switch input function using this menu. Each
switch activated wi be indicated on the test screen in corresponding ye ow box and wi be accompanied by a
switch active sound indicator. Verify pot va ue for min, center and max are correct. If not, proceed to Ca ibration
section of this manua . Press and ho d the Service Button for three seconds to return to the Diagnostics Menu.

Sound Test
From the Diagnostics Menu se ect and enter Sound Test. Verify that marquee, cabinet and seat sound vo ume
and qua ity are good. Press the Tunes Button to return to Diagnostics Menu
Wheel Test
From the Diagnostics Menu se ect and enter Wheel Test. Verify proper whee force feedback function using this
menu. Fo ow the screen instruction carefu y.

Caution: Begin by p acing the whee at center position. The steering whee moves

Monitor Test
From the Audio/Video Options menu, se ect and enter Color Bars & Purity. Verify correct co or and purity for
Red, B ue and Green screens. Use the convergence screen to a so verify inearity. See Appendix n.

From the Diagnostics Menu se ect and enter amp Test. Use View1 or View 3 to se ect the amp and press Start to
activate that amp. Verify that ALL amps are working.

Coin Meter Test
From the Diagnostics Menu se ect and enter Coin Meter Test. Advance the meter once using by pressing Start.
Press the Tunes Button to return to Diagnostics Menu.
Watchdog Test
From the Diagnostics Menu se ect and enter Watchdog Test. The game wi reset in approximate y 6 seconds.
The watchdog feature a ows the PC to monitor norma game software and hardware operation.

Pricing Adjustment Menu
From the Main Menu, se ect Pricing Adjustment and enter. The Adjustment Menu a ows you to customize the
game. Each variab e wi change an aspect of the basic game pricing, other re ated p ayer free game reward and
upgrade cost. Optimizing these settings shou d resu t in continued high p ayer interest and game earnings. You
can monitor the affects of these options by comparing audit information before and after the changes have been
imp emented. Press Start to Se ect. Press Tunes or Service to Exit.
Price Menu
From the Pricing Adjustment Menu, se ect Freeplay and enter. This option a ows you to set the game to Free
P ay or at no cost. Any coins or bi s inserted wi continue to be accepted and counted. This wi be ref ected in the
Audits. The credits issued money accepted during Freep ay mode wi be avai ab e after Freep ay is turned off or
deactivated. P ease perform C ear Credits to remove unwanted credits. Press Start to Se ect. Press Tunes or
Service to Exit.

Money Unit Menu
From the Pricing Menu, se ect Money Unit and enter. Se ect the currency which app ies to the games ocation
and press Start to se ect. Press Start to Se ect. Press Tunes or Service to Exit.
Coin Value Menu
From the Pricing Menu, se ect Coin Value and enter. Choose the coin va ue based on the currency se ected and
the coin acceptor type or setting. Press Start to Se ect. Press Tunes or Service to Exit.
