Safety Instructions
Safety instru tions apply to operators and servi e personnel. Read these instru tions before preparing the video
game ma hine (VGM) for play. Other safety instru tions appear throughout this manual.
WARNING: TRANSPORTING THE VIDEO GAME MACHINE (VGM).
The VGM ontains glass and fragile ele troni devi es. Use appropriate are when transporting . Avoid rough
handling when moving the VGM.
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER.
Always turn the power OFF and unplug the VGM before attempting servi e or adjustments unless otherwise
instru ted. Installing or repairing omponents with the power swit hed ON an damage the omponents an void
warranty.
WARNING: GROUND GAMES.
Avoid ele tri al sho k! Do not plug in the VGM until you have inspe ted and properly grounded it. Only plug into a
grounded, three-wire outlet. Do not use a “ heater” plug, or ut off the ground pin on the line ord.
WARNING: AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCKS.
This VGM does not utilize an isolation transformer. Internal abinet AC is not isolated from the external AC line.
WARNING: HANDLE FLOURESCENT TUBE AND CRT WITH CARE.
If you drop a fluores ent tube or CRT and it breaks, it will implode! Shattered glass an fly eight feet or more from
the implosion.
WARNING: CHECK POWER SELECTOR, LAMP.
Set the 115/230 VAC sele tor swit h on the power supply for the orre t line voltage on the installation site. Verify
that the fluores ent lamps are rated for the proper line voltage.
WARNING: USE PROPER FUSE.
Avoid ele tri al sho k! Repla ement fuses must be identi ally rated to the original fuse!
WARNING: ATTACH CONNECTORS PROPERLY.
Be sure all onne tors mate properly. If onne tors do not slip in easily, do not for e them. Conne tors are often
keyed and only onne t one way. Che k for orre t orientation.
WARNING: USE EXTREME CARE WHEN HANDLING PC.
The PC ontains sensitive omponents su h as a hard drive. Do not handle roughly. Call your distributor before
servi ing PC internal omponents. Ask about warranty information as it relates to the PC.

INSPECTION AND INSTALLATION
WARNING: Use extreme are when moving or servi ing the game abinet. Don’t plug in the game until you
have read this manual. If the line cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar cord available from
the manufacturer or service agent.
Please he k the following after the game has been removed from its shipping rate and pla ed in a suitable play
or servi e area.
Make sure that the game abinet is level. Adjust the asters as needed.
1. Che k the AC line ord for any visible signs of damage to the plug or line ord insulation.
2. Che k for possible shipping damage to the following:
•Player interfa es: steering wheel, buttons, keypad and shifter.
•Seat assembly.
•Monitor glass.
•Cabinet ba kdoor.
•Cabinet oin door.
•Cabinet and seat de als.
3. Remove the oin door key from the oin return hute.
4. Open the top oin door and lo ate the key for the ba kdoor and the ashbox.
5. Lo ate hardware kit: tamper proof tool kit

6. Remove the ba kdoor the ba kdoor from the abinet and visually inspe t the ele troni omponents.
7. Verify that all onne tors are se ure and that the bottom of the abinet is free of loose obje ts whi h may
have possibly ome loose during shipping.
CAUTION: A ess to ba k of the games should be limited to servi e personnel only! Allow minimum learan e
between ba k of game and wall stru ture for able and ventilation while preventing non-authorized a ess.
Maximum learan e should be 6 in hes (15 m), in a ordan e with lo al ode or whi hever is less.

Seat Assembly Procedure
WARNING: The abinet is top heavy. Install only on level surfa e. Use the leg levelers to make sure the abinet
and seat are stable. Do not push against plasti parts during movement.
1. Roll the abinet and seat to the intended lo ation and lower the leg levelers until both are equal height
and stable.
2. Rea h inside the base of the abinet remove the bolts to fasten a mounting rail to the abinet and set
aside. Individually pull the rail out, flip it end over end and reinsert it. Fasten the rail to the inside of the
abinet with bolts until finger tight; some movement is required in the mounting rails to align holes with
seat pedestal assembly. Repeat for the mounting rail on the other side. See diagram.

4. Roll the pedestal near the abinet and
align the opening in the pedestal with
the ends of the rails. Slide the pedestal
forward onto the rails leaving enough
spa e to atta h the wiring harness.

firmly to seat the onta ts. Ensure no
wires are pin hed during the pedestal
atta hment. Fasten in pla e with the ¼”
X 20 tamper resistant s rews and large
flat washers provided.
5. Tighten the s rews firmly with the
wren h provided, and then tighten the
bolts for the mounting rails.
6. Adjust all levelers until both abinet and seat are flush and parallel with ea h other. Inspe t for pin hed
wires before firmly tightening the remaining fasteners to atta h the two pie es as one.
Po er Up Procedure
1. Plug the game line ord into an appropriately wired and fused AC re epta le.
2. Lo ate the game AC main swit h to the bottom left side on ba k of the game abinet.
3. Turn the swit h to the ON position.
4. The game attra t feature will begin after the game is finished loading- approximately 1 minute.
5. Pro eed to Swit h Test of this do ument and verify proper game operation.

Game Net orking
NOTICE: To link the two games together, use the rossover able provided in the spare parts bag. Use of
another able other than the one shipped with the game ould void warranty or ause games not to link. Use
network ables whi h are at least CAT5 grade.
Net orking Considerations
Ea h FNF Super Cars game omes with a network able. Optionally, a hub an be installed and lo ated remotely
to link additional units.
Take are to prote t exposed game wiring from general foot traffi around the game. Use a onduit or wire way to
prote t the ables as needed.
Please mark linking ables for your game if other su h ables are in the vi inity to avoid onfusion. Network
ables are not marked or oded.
Avoid routing the network ables near sour es of heat, moisture or ele tri al energy su h as neon lights,
ompressor motors, transformers et .
Net orking Setup
1. Remove the network able from the spare parts bag inside the ashbox.
2. Conne t ea h end of the able to network ja k behind ea h PC.
3. Neatly route the able through the not h on the ba k of the abinet.
4. Use the SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT in TEST MODE below for enabling link feature .Press TEST Button to
a ess TEST MENU. Iis mounted inside the oin door of the abinet.
5. Reset both games simultaneously and verify that link is su essful. If not, he k the settings for Ma hine ID
onfli t and make sure that the network able is onne ted properly and se ured. Please refer to the Game
Troubleshooting Guide on this manual for more details.

Sound Test
From the Diagnostics Menu sele t and enter Sound Test. Verify that marquee, abinet and seat sound volume
and quality are good. Press the Tunes Button to return to Diagnostics Menu
Wheel Test
From the Diagnostics Menu sele t and enter Wheel Test. Verify proper wheel for e feedba k fun tion using this
menu. Follow the s reen instru tion arefully.

Caution: Begin by pla ing the wheel at enter position. The steering wheel moves

Monitor Test
From the Audio/Video Options menu, sele t and enter Color Bars & Purity. Verify orre t olor and purity for
Red, Blue and Green s reens. Use the onvergen e s reen to also verify linearity. See Appendix n.

Coin Meter Test
From the Diagnostics Menu sele t and enter Coin Meter Test. Advan e the meter on e using by pressing Start.
Press the Tunes Button to return to Diagnostics Menu.
Watchdog Test
From the Diagnostics Menu sele t and enter Watchdog Test. The game will reset in approximately 6 se onds.
The wat hdog feature allows the PC to monitor normal game software and hardware operation.

Pricing Adjustment Menu
From the Main Menu, sele t Pricing Adjustment and enter. The Adjustment Menu allows you to ustomize the
game. Ea h variable will hange an aspe t of the basi game pri ing, other related player free game reward and
upgrade ost. Optimizing these settings should result in ontinued high player interest and game earnings. You
an monitor the affe ts of these options by omparing audit information before and after the hanges have been
implemented. Press Start to Sele t. Press Tunes or Servi e to Exit.
Price Menu
From the Pricing Adjustment Menu, sele t Freeplay and enter. This option allows you to set the game to Free
Play or at no ost. Any oins or bills inserted will ontinue to be a epted and ounted. This will be refle ted in the
Audits. The redits issued money a epted during Freeplay mode will be available after Freeplay is turned off or
dea tivated. Please perform Clear Credits to remove unwanted redits. Press Start to Sele t. Press Tunes or
Servi e to Exit.
