1 Cautions before use
• Make sure the camera and ash are powered o before installing the RAY FLASH ROTATOR.
• The main component cannot be subjected to strong vibrations as this may damage the unit.
• When connecting the remote cable do not pull on it as this may damage the internal connections.
• Do not store the unit in areas of high temperature, such as a closed car under direct sunlight.
• Keep the unit dry. Don’t immerse it in water, do not use in the rain and do not handle it with wet hands.
• Do not use it near ammable gases as this may cause an explosion or re.
• Do not grip the complete camera/ash/rotator assembly by the Rotator, as this may damage the unit.
2 Unit description
The RAY FLASH ROTATOR is available in two dierent versions, NIKON and CANON. Both versions are equipped with
the necessary ash hot shoe mount and camera connections to maintain full automatic functions between camera
and ash.
3 Mounting instructions
Before using the RAY FLASH ROTATOR assembly you must determine which one of the three provided mounting
brackets is right for your camera. Listed below are the three groups for each camera make. For camera models not
found on this list, use the bracket for a model of similar height.
CANON
Small & Middle body bracket: EOS400D , EOS450D , EOS500D
Middle (Battery grip) bracket :EOS30D , EOS40D , EOS50D
Big body bracket: EOS1D , EOS1Ds MARK II , EOS1Ds MARK III
NIKON
Small & Middle body bracket: D5000 , D40 , D50 , D60
Middle (Battery grip) bracket: D90, D100 , D200 , D300 , D700
Big body bracket: D3 , D3x
4 RAY FLASH ROTATOR assembly for all small & middle camera bodies.
For this version you need the following ROTATOR RAY FLASH components:
Rotating Unit (in Nikon or Canon version)
All Body bracket
Small & Middle body bracket
Body mounting screw
Bracket mounting screw
Ring mounting screw
Step 1 – Attach the All body bracket to the Small and & Middle body backet using the bracket mounting screw.
Step 2 – Attach the Rotating unit to the Small & Middle body bracket using the ring screw. Use a coin to tighten.
Step 3 – Mount camera using the body screw.

5 RAY FLASH ROTATOR assembly for middle or small camera bodies with accessory battery grip.
For this version you need the following ROTATOR RAY FLASH components:
Rotating Unit (in Nikon or Canon version)
All Body bracket
Middle (Battery grip) bracket
Body mounting screw
Bracket mounting screw
Ring mounting screw
Step 1 – Attach the All body bracket to the Middle (Battery grip) bracket using the mounting screw.
Step 2 – Attach the Rotating Unit to the Middle (Battery grip) bracket using the ring screw. Use a coin to tighten.
Step 3 – Mount camera using the body screw.
For camera and ashgun cable connection see chapter 7
6 RAY FLASH ROTATOR assembly for all big body cameras.
For this version you need the following ROTATOR RAY FLASH components:
Rotating Unit (in Nikon or Canon version)
All Body bracket
Big body bracket
Body mounting screw
Bracket mounting screw
Ring mounting screw
Step 1 – Attach the All body bracket to the Big body bracket using the mounting screw.
Step 2 – Attach the Rotating unit to the Big body bracket using the ring screw. Use a coin to tighten.
Step 3 – Mount camera using the body screw.

7 RAY FLASH ROTATOR connection
- Make sure the power is o on both the camera and ash unit.
- Attach the ash unit to the rotator shoe mount and tighten.
- Connect the cable to the hot shoe of the camera and tighten.
- Turn the ash and then the camera to the on position.
8 How to use the RAY FLASH ROTATOR
Once everything is connected you can turn the ash to any desired
position by simply loosening the locking wheel as shown. When
in the desired position simply turn the wheel to lock the ash in
place. Fire away!

Livret d‘instructions
1. Mesures préventives avant l‘utilisation
•
Assurez-vous d’éteindre le ash et l’appareil avant d’installer le Rotateur RAY FLASH.
•
N’exposer pas la composante principale à des vibrations accrues an d’éviter des risques potentiels de dommages.
•
Éviter de tirer brusquement sur le câble synchro pour ne pas endommager les circuits internes.
•
N’entreposer pas cet équipement dans des lieux trop chaud, tel un habitacle de voiture, le soleil direct ou autre endroit similaire.
•
Garder cet équipement sec. Éviter d’immerger cet équipement dans l’eau, de le manipuler les mains mouillées ou l’exposer à la pluie.
•
Ne pas utiliser près de gaz ammables pour éviter les risque d’explosions ou de feu.
•
Ne pas soulever le ash et/ou l’appareil à l’aide de l’anneau rotateur car il peut l’endommager.
2. Descriptif
Le ROTATEUR RAY FLASH est disponible en deux versions, NIKON et CANON. Les deux versions sont équipées de pied pour ash et
connections requises pour assurer la pleine connectivité entre l’appareil et le ash.
3 Instructions de montage
Avant d’utiliser le ROTATEUR RAY FLASH vous devez déterminer lequel des trois supports fourni est adapté pour votre appareil. Énuméré
ci-dessous sont les trois groupes pour les appareils respectifs. Pour les appareils non-cités, utilisez le support se rapprochant le plus aux
dimensions semblables à votre appareil.
CANON
Support du milieu pour boîtier moyen: EOS400D, EOS450D, EOS500D
Support du milieu pour poignée d‘alimentation: EOS30D, EOS40D, EOS50D
Support pour gros boîtier: EOS1D, EOS1Ds MARK II, EOS1Ds MARK III
NIKON

4. ROTATEUR RAY FLASH - Assemblage pour boîtier petit et moyen.
Pour cet assemblage, les pièces suivantes sont requises.
Élément Rotateur (version Nikon ou Canon)
Support pour boîtier
Support du milieu pour boîtier moyen
Vis pour sécuriser le boîtier
Vis pour sécuriser le support
Vis pour sécuriser l’unité rotative
Étape 1 – Attacher le support pour boîtier au support du milieu pour boitier moyen à l’aide de la vis pour sécuriser le support.
Étape 2 – Attacher l’élément rotateur au support du milieu pour boîtier moyen à l’aide de la vis pour sécuriser l’unité rotative. Utiliser une
pièce de monnaie pour serrer.
Étape 3 – Fixer l’appareil en utilisant la vis pour sécuriser le boîtier.
Pour les branchements de câbles et d’appareil, consulter le paragraphe 7.
5. ROTATEUR RAY FLASH Assemblage pour boîtier petit et moyen avec poignée d’alimentation.
Pour cet assemblage, les pièces suivantes sont requises:
Élément Rotateur (version Nikon ou Canon)
Support pour boîtier
Support du milieu pour poignée d‘alimentation
Vis pour sécuriser le boîtier
Vis pour sécuriser le support
Vis pour sécuriser l’unité rotative
Étape 1 – Attacher le support pour boîtier au support du milieu pour poignée d’alimentation avec la vis pour sécuriser le support.
Étape 2 – Attacher l’élément rotateur au support du milieu pour poignée d’alimentation. Utiliser une pièce de monnaie pour serrer.
Étape 3 – Fixer l’appareil en utilisant la vis pour sécuriser le boîtier.
Pour les branchements de câbles et d’appareil, consulter le paragraphe 7.
6. ROTATEUR RAY FLASH - Assemblage pour gros boîtier.
Pour cet assemblage, les pièces suivantes sont requises:
Élément Rotateur (version Nikon ou Canon)
Support pour boîtier
Support pour gros boîtier
Vis pour sécuriser le boîtier
Vis pour sécuriser le support
Vis pour sécuriser l’unité rotative
Étape 1 – Attacher le support pour boîtier au support pour gros boîtier avec la vis pour sécuriser le support.
Étape 2 – Attacher l’élément rotateur au support pour gros boîtier avec la vis pour sécuriser le support. Utiliser une pièce de monnaie
pour serrer.
Étape 3 – Fixer l’appareil en utilisant la vis pour sécuriser le boîtier.
Pour les branchements de câbles et d’appareil, consulter le paragraphe 7.
7. ROTATEUR RAY FLASH - connections
- Assurez-vous d’éteindre le ash et l’appareil avant d’installer le Rotateur RAY FLASH.
- Fixer le ash unit au sabot du ash de l’élément rotateur et sécuriser.
- Connecter le câble au sabot du ash de l’appareil et sécuriser.
- Mettre sous tension le ash et ensuite l’appareil.
8. Utilisation du ROTATEUR RAY FLASH
Une fois toutes les composantes en place, vous pouvez orienter le ash
dans la position verticale ou horizontale désirée en simplement desserrant
la roulette tel qu’illustré. Tournez la roulette pour verrouiller le ash dans sa
position nale.
Les photographes couvrant les scènes d’actions, de sports,
de mariage et de photographie générale apprécieront la
versatilité de ROTATEUR RAY FLASH.
