• Donotusetheunitinplacesthatareextremely

• WhenconnectingordisconnectingtheACpower
cord, grip the plug and not the cord itself. Pulling
the cord may damage it and create a hazard.

ON CONDENSATION
• Whenleftinaheatedroomwhereitiswarmand
damp, water droplets or condensation may form
insidetheunit.Whenthereiscondensationinside
the unit, the unit may not function normally. Let
theunitstandfor1to2hoursbeforeturningthe
power on, or gradually heat the room and let the
unit dry before use.
RATING PLATE LOCATION

• Should any trouble occur, disconnect
the AC power cord and refer servicing to a

• Mains plug is used as the disconnect device, it
shall remain readily operable and should not be

USING THE REMOTE CONTROL

TO CHANGE REMOTE BATTERIES
1. Openthebatterydoor.
2. InserttwoAAAbatteries.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the batteries become weak, the operating
distance of the remote control is greatly reduced and
you will need to replace them.
Notes:
• Iftheremotecontrolisnotgoingtobeusedfora
long time, remove the batteries to avoid corrosion
damage caused by battery leakage.
• Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not
mix ALKALINE, standard (CARBON-ZINC) or
rechargeable(NICKEL-CADMIUM)batteries.
• Alwaysremovebatteriesassoonastheybecome
weak.
• Weakbatteriescanleakandseverelydamagethe
remote control.
• WARNING:Donotdisposeofbatteriesinare.

Before Bluetooth pairing, you should turn on the
Bluetooth function of your other device (such as,
mobile phone with Bluetooth function).
1.PressSOURCEbuttonontheunitor button on
the remote control to select BT (Bluetooth) mode.
The Bluetooth indicator light on the soundbase
will blink.
2.Onyourdevice(mobilephone,MP3player,etc.),
select RCA RTS796B from the list of available
Bluetooth connections.
 Note:If yourBluetooth device(such as,mobile
phone) requires a password while pairing, please
enter4-digitnumber:0000.
• If the Bluetooth pairing is successful, the
Bluetooth indicator will illuminate.
• If the Bluetooth pairing is unsuccessful, the
Bluetooth indicator will blink at slow speed.
Please try again.
TO DISCONNECT THE CURRENTLY PAIRED
DEVICE
1. On your currently paired and connected device,
selectRCARTS796Bfromthelistanddisconnect
it.Or
2.Turnofftheconnecteddevice.
ENJOY THE MUSIC THROUGH BLUETOOTH
• Press to begin or pause playback
• Press / to select a specific track
• Press and hold   / to start moving
backward/forwardathighspeed.
BLUETOOTH PAIRING BASIC OPERATION
1. Press  button on the Soundbase or
button on the remote to turn on the unit.
2. PressSOURCE / on the remote to select
AUXIN,OPTICALIN,LINEINorBluetoothsource
(input). The LEDs located on top of Soundbase
will indicate the currently-selected source.
3. Press VOLUME  /  , BASS  / or
TREBLE / ontheremotetoadjustVolume,
Bass or Treble levels.  When adjusting Volume,
Bass or Treble, the four LEDs will temporarily
display the current level setting (see illustration).
Note:Whenmuteisenabled,the4LEDindicators
will ash. Press the MUTE button on the remote
control to disable the mute function and LED flashing
stop.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The unit does not switch on.
• Makesureitispluggedin.
• Press STANDBY/ON button to turn on the
Soundbase.
I have no sound.
• PresstheVOLUME / button on the top of
the Soundbase or VOL  / button on the
remote.
• Ensure the source you’ve selected is outputting
audio.Ifyou’reusing“audioout”fromyourTV,
ensureyourTVisconguredtooutputaudio(see
TV’smenusettings).
• Ensure your AV connections are properly made
(ensure you don’t have any loose connections).
• Ensureyou’veselectedthecorrectsource(input)
- the LEDs located on the top of the Soundbase
will indicate the currently-selected source (input).
• Mute is activated (the 4 LEDs on top of the
Soundbase flashes). Press the mute button on the
remote control.
• EnsuretheinputsourceisselectedPCMoutputon
the setup menu of the input device.
Cannot setup Bluetooth pairing
• Resetthebluetoothconnectionbyturningoffand
on your connectind device, or this Soundbase, or
selectotherSOURCEonthisSoundbasethenback
to BT mode again.
The remote control doesn’t work
• Ifbatteryisweak,pleasereplacethebatteryand
ensure the new battery is installed correctly.
• Pleaseensurethereisnothingblockingtheremote
sensor on the front of the Soundbase.

EMPLACEMENT

CONDENSATION

pendant une longue période de temps, retirez le
pile pour éviter toute corrosion en cas de fuite.

et des piles neuves. Ne mélangez pas des piles

LIAISON BLUETOOTH
1. Abaissez pour mettre l’appareil en circuit;
le voyant (alimentation) à l’avant de la barre de
son s’allume.

EMPAREJAMIENTO CON BLUETOOTH
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
1.Oprima el botón  STANDBY/ON para
encender la unidad.
2.Oprima SOURCE  / para seleccionar
Bluetooth(entrada)/OPTICALIN/AUXIN/LINE
IN.LosLEDsubicadosenlapartesuperiordela
barra de sonido indicarán la fuente que se haya
seleccionado.
3.OprimaVOLUME / ,BASS / orTREBLE
 / para ajustar el volumen, los niveles de
los tonos graves o de los agudos. Al ajustar el
volumen, los tonos graves o los agudos, los cuatro
LEDs mostrarán brevemente la configuración del
nivel actualmente configurado (ver la ilustración).
Nota: cuando tenga activada la función del
silenciador, los 4 indicadores LED se pondrán a
parpadera.OprimaelbotónMUTEdelcontrolremoto
para deshabilitar la función del silenciador y el
papadeo del LED cesará.
Antes de llevar a cabo el emparejamiento con
Bluetooth, usted debe activar la función de Bluetooth
del otro aparato (teléfono móvil con función de
Bluetooth, por ejemplo).
1.Oprima el botón SOURCE de la unidad o el
botón del control remoto para seleccionar la
modalidad BT (Bluetooth). La luz del indicador
de Bluetooth de la barra de sonido se pondrá a
parpadear.
2.SeleccioneRCARTS796Bdelalistadeconexiones
disponibles de Bluetooth de su aparato (teléfono
móvil,reproductordeMP3player,etc.).
 Nota:sisuaparatodeBluetooth(teléfonomóvil,
por ejemplo) requiere de una contraseña para
realizar el emparejamiento, por favor ingrese el
númerode4dígitos0000.
• Si el emparejamiento con Bluetooth se lleva a
cabo con éxito, el indicador de Bluetooth se
iluminará.
• Si el emparejamiento con Bluetooth no se lleva
a cabo con éxito, el indicador de Bluetooth se
pondrá a parpadear lentamente. Por favor,
inténtelo nuevamente.
PARA DESCONECTAR EL DISPOSITIVO
ACTUALMENTE APAREADO
1. En su dispositivo actualmente apareado y
conectado,seleccioneRCARTS796Bdelalistay
lodesconecta.O
2.Apagueeldispositivoconectado.
DISFRUTE LA MÚSICA A TRAVÉS DE BLUETOOTH
• Oprima para comenzar o hacer una pausa en
la reproducción
• Oprima  / para seleccionar una pista
específica
• Oprima and hold  / para comenzar a
retroceder o adelantar a alta velocidad.
RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
La unidad no enciende.
• Asegúresedequelaunidadestéenchufada.Oprimael
botónSTANDBY/ONparaencenderlabarradesonido.
Nohaysonido.
• OprimaelbotónVOLUME / ubicado en la parte
superiordelabarradesonidooelbotónVOL /
del control remoto.
• Asegúrese de que la fuente que haya seleccionado
tenga salida de audio. Si está usando la salida de
audio “audio out” desde su televisor, asegúrese de
que su televisor esté configurado para dar salida al
audio (lea las instrucciones de configuración del
menúdeltelevisor).
• Asegúresede que sus conexiones de audio y video
estén hechas correctamente (asegúrese de que las
conexiones no estén sueltas).
• Asegúrese de haber seleccionado la fuente correcta
(de entrada) - los LEDs ubicados en la parte superior
de la barra de sonido indicarán la fuente que esté
seleccionada (de entrada).
• Elsilenciadorestáactivado(los4LEDsubicadosen
la parte superior de la barra de sonido parpadean).
Oprimaelbotóndelsilenciadordelcontrolremoto.
• Asegúrese de que en el menú de conguración de
la fuente de entrada, ésta esté seleccionada bajo la
opcióndesalidaPCM.
NosepuedeefectuarelemparejamientoconBluetooth
• Resetee la conexión de bluetooth apagando y
volviendo a encender el aparato que haya conectado,
o esta barra de sonido, o bien seleccione otra fuente
de la barra de sonido y luego vuelva nuevamente a la
modalidad de BT.
El control remoto no funciona
• Silabateríaetsáagotada, cámbiela y asegúrese de
que la batería nueva esté instalada correctamente.
• Por favor, revise que no haya ningún objeto
bloqueando el sensor remoto ubicado en la parte
frontal de la barra de sonido.

oficina de respaldo al cliente. El cliente es responsable por todos los gastos de envío al centro de reparaciones.
