schäden. Jedes RCS Produkt wird vor dem Verpacken sorg-
fältig überprüft und in einem speziell dafür vorgesehenen
Karton geliefert.
Alle Transportschäden müssen sofort bei der Transport-
firma reklamiert werden!
Rücksendung: Wenn es nötig sein sollte ein defektes Ge-
rät zurückzusenden, nehmen Sie bitte Kontakt mit Ihrem
Händler auf. Bitte versenden sie alle Rücksendungen in der
Originalverpackung.
INSPECTION AND INVENTORY OF THE PRODUCT
Check unit carefully for damage which may have occurred
during transport. Each RCS product is carefully inspected
at the factory and packed in a special carton for safe
transport.
Notify the freight carrier immediately if you observe any
damage to the shipping carton or product!
Return: Repack the unit in the carton and await inspection
by the carrier’s claim agent. Notify your dealer of the pending
freight claim. Returning your unit for service or repairs.
Should your unit require service, contact your dealer.

Vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes bitten wir Sie die Si-
cherheitshinweise aufmerksam zu lesen!
1. Setzen Sie das Gerät niemals Flüssigkeiten oder hoher
Feuchtigkeit aus.
2. Vermeiden Sie die Nähe zu Heizungen und anderen Hit-
zequellen.
3. Zur korrekten Bedienung des Gerätes, empfehlen wir zu-
erst die Bedienungsanleitung zu lesen.
RCS AUDIO SYSTEME
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein RCS-Gerät entschieden
haben. Alle RCS-Systeme werden für höchste Ansprüche
entwickelt und hergestellt. Auch wenn der AM-100RDS
leicht zu bedienen ist, empfehlen wir Ihnen, dass Sie sich die
Zeit nehmen, diese Anleitung zu lesen um die wichtigsten
Informationen zu diesem Produkt bezüglich Einrichtung und
Betrieb sicherzustellen.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heed all warnings.
2. Follow all instructions.
3. Do not use this apparatus near water.
4. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accor-
dance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Do not install near any heat sources.
6. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or
grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades
with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has
two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade
or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the pro-
vided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an elec-
trician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the
point where they exit from the apparatus.
8. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the ma-
nufacturer.

lauf abwärts zu starten.
Drücken Sie die Taste (K) für 2 Sekunden, um den Such-
lauf aufwärts zu starten.
9. VOLUME
Dieser Regler dient der Regelung der Ausgangslautstär-
ke. Vor Wiedergabebeginn empfiehlt es sich, den Regler
auf Mindestlautstärke zu setzen und erst dann die Laut-
stärke nach Bedarf zu erhöhen.
10. SLEEP-Taste
Taste zum Einstellen der gewünschten Restbetriebszeit
(10 – 90 Minuten)

9. VOLUME
This controller is used to control the output volume. Be-
fore playing, it is recommended to set the controller to
minimum volume and then turn up the volume as nee-
ded.
10. SLEEP button
Button to set the desired remaining operating time
(10-90 minutes)

BEDIENUNGSHINWEISE
ABSPEICHERN VON SENDERN:
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2. Wählen Sie mit der Taste [BAND] das gewünschte Fre-
quenzband (FM/AM) aus.
3. Starten Sie den Suchlauf, in dem Sie für ca. 2 Sekunden
die Tasten [TUNING J] oder [TUNING K] drücken
4. Möchten Sie einen gefundenen Sender abspeichern,
drücken Sie 1 x die Taste [MEMORY]. Die Anzeige ME-
MORY blinkt im Display.
5. Drücken Sie nun die gewünschte Stationstaste 1 bis 5.
6. Betätigen Sie die Taste [MEMORY] erneut, um die Aus-
wahl zu bestätigen.
7. Der gewünschte Sender ist nun abgespeichert und kann
durch Drücken der vorher gewählten Stationstaste auf-
gerufen werden.
8. Wiederholen Sie die Punkte 2-6, um alle Speicherplätze
1 bis 5 zu belegen.
9. Möchten Sie die Speicherplätze 6-10 belegen, gehen Sie
bitte wie folgt vor:
Nach Auswahl der Frequenz bzw. des Senders drücken
Sie bitte die [MEMORY]-Taste. Drücken Sie nun die Ta-
ste 5+ und zusätzlich die Taste 1 für Programmplatz 6,
die 2 für Programmplatz 7 u.s.w. Auch hier wird die Aus-
wahl durch erneutes Drücken der Taste [MEMORY] be-
stätigt.
SLEEP-FUNKTION:
Der Radiotuner verfügt über eine Sleepfunktion, das heißt,
er schaltet sich nach Erreichen der vorher eingegebenen
Restzeit aus.
Drücken Sie während des laufenden Betriebes die Taste
[SLEEP] 1 x, um die Restzeit von 90 Minuten einzustellen.
Mit jedem erneuten Betätigen der Taste verringert sich die
Restzeit in 10-Minuten Schritten (90 -10 min.)

Press to activate traffic announcements.
12. PTY
For selecting the program type for RDS reception.

For alternative frequency function with RDS reception.
14. DISP
To switch the text displays of the respective program
source.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TO STORE THE TRANSMITTER
1. Turn on the device
2. 2. Select the desired frequency band (FM / AM) with the
[BAND] button.
3. Start the search by pressing the [TUNING J] or [TU-
NING K] button for approx. 2 seconds
4. If you would like to store a found station, press the [ME-
MORY] button once. The MEMORY indicator flashes in
the display.
5. Now press the desired station button 1 to 5.
6. Press the [MEMORY] button again to confirm your selec-
tion.
7. The desired station is now saved and can be called up
by pressing the previously selected station button.
8. Repeat points 2-6 to occupy all memory locations
1 to 5.
9. If you would like to use memory locations 6-10, please
proceed as follows:
After selecting the frequency or the station, please press
the [MEMORY] button. Now press button 5+ and also
button 1 for program position 6, 2 for program position
7, etc. Here, too, the selection is confirmed by pressing
the [MEMORY] button again.
SLEEP FUNCTION:
The radio tuner has a sleep function, which means that it
switches off after the previously entered remaining time has
been reached.
During operation, press the [SLEEP] button once to set
the remaining time of 90 minutes. Each time the button is
pressed again, the remaining time is reduced in 10-minute
steps (90-10 min.)
