5. If the voltage printed at the back side (110 V or 230 V) is equivalent to your house voltage connect AC
INPUT with your house AC with the attached cable. Due to the high switch-on power at least a 230V/10 amp
(110V/20 amp) house fuse is needed.
6. Play your main amplifier at low level music with deep bass
7. POWER at On and LEVEL turn right until you hear sound from your subwoofer
8. At medium loudness adjust all knobs as shown below. The numbers are related to clocklike setting,
examples: 7 = 7 o'clock = far left, 12 = 12 o'clock = upright, 5 = 5 o'clock = far right
9. POWER OFF: amplifier is totally off = no electric power wasted
10. POWER ON: amplifier on = steady electric consumption 10 watts
11. PROTECT LED: lights up at faulty operation as too low speaker impedance / short cut, overload, overheat
12. CLIPPING LED: a short light up indicates that overload starts but it is still tolerable at very short bass
impulses. At stronger light up reduce LEVEL. At speaker shortcut, too low impedance and overload the
relay cuts the speaker and the LED steady on. After about every 10 seconds the circuit tests if the shortcut,
low impedance or overload has been relieved.
13. LEVEL SUB: 7=no sound, 5=maximum input sensitivity
14. HIGH CUT cuts frequencies above
7 = 40Hz 8 = 58Hz,
9 = 80Hz 10 = 110Hz 11 = 150Hz,
12 = 180Hz 1 = 200Hz 2 = 220Hz
3 = 240Hz 4 = 260Hz 5 = 300Hz
15. BOOST LEVEL: increases the level at
7 = 0 dB 8 = 1.2 dB
9 = 2.4 dB 10 = 3.6 dB 11 = 4 dB
12 = 5 dB 1 = 6 dB 2 = 6.3 dB
3 = 6.5 dB 4 = 7 dB 5 = 7.5 dB
16. BOOST FREQUENCY: sets the BOOST frequency at
7 = 15Hz 8 = 18Hz
9 = 20Hz 10 = 30Hz 11 = 35Hz
12 = 40Hz 1 = 45Hz 2 = 47Hz
3 = 50 Hz 4 = 53Hz 5 = 55Hz
17. EQUALIZER LEVEL: reduces the level at the frequency set by EQUALIZER, FREQUENCY at
7 = 0 dB 8 = 1.2 dB
9 = 2.4 dB 10 = 3.6 dB 11 = 4 dB
12 = 5 dB 1 = 6 dB 2 = 6.3 dB
3 = 6.5 dB 4 = 7 dB 5 = 7.5 dB
18. EQUALIZER FREQUENCY: adjusts the narrow bandwith decrease at
7 = 17Hz 8 = 25Hz
9 = 35Hz 10 = 40Hz 11 = 50Hz
12 = 60Hz 1 = 65Hz 2 = 70Hz
3 = 75Hz 4 = 80Hz 5 = 85Hz
19. SUBSONIC: filters unwanted lowest frequencies below
7 = 10Hz 8 = 13Hz
9 = 16Hz 10 = 22Hz 11 = 26Hz
12 = 30Hz 1 = 34Hz 2 = 39Hz
3 = 43Hz 4 = 47Hz 5 = 50Hz
20. PHASE: adjusts the subwoofer to the same acoustic phase as the main loudspeakers. In relation to the
listening position, the best interaction with the main loudspeakers is set by trial and error. To do this, set
HIGH CUT to 17:00 = far right at medium volume and turn PHASE until it is at its loudest. Then set HIGH
CUT back to the desired low pass frequency.
21. SAT OUT: limits the lowest frequency of the satellite speakers at
7 = 30Hz 8 = 36Hz
9 = 60Hz 10 = 97Hz 11 = 126Hz
12 = 150Hz 1 = 200Hz 2 = 280Hz
3 = 310Hz 4 = 357Hz 5 = 400Hz
