1Charging
The SC600W operates o wall power or
batteries. If using batteries, we recommend
fully charging the SC600W before your
rst use. It takes approximately 7.5 hrs to
charge.
1. Charging The SC600W
A. Open the back of the SC600W by sliding
the cover. Remove the paper tab in between
the battery.
B. Using the included mini USB cable, plug
the SC600W into a computer USB port or a
USB wall adapter.
C. The charging indicator light on the back of
the SC600W will light up red to indicate it is
charging (the light is under the back cover).
NOTE: To operate the SC600W using wall
power (instead of batteries), just plug it in as
if you were charging it.

2Insert/Eject Micro SD
Card
The SC600W supports up to a 128GB micro
SD card. The purpose of the SD card is to
store the bulk of your surveillance footage.
Without an SD card, you can still live
stream video, get motion activated alerts,
& record video clips to your iOS/Android
device using the App (see section 6).
1. Insert A Micro SD Card
A. Open the back of the SC600W by sliding
the cover. Insert a micro SD card into the
card slot. We recommend a class 10 card.
B. You will feel a click when the micro SD
card has been inserted correctly.
2. Remove The Micro SD card
A. Push the card in until you feel a spring
release & the card will eject when you let go.

3Power On/O
A. Power On - Make sure a micro SD card is
inserted & slide the power switch to the ON
position (located under the back cover).
B. Power O - Slide the power switch to OFF
4Record In Continuous/
Motion Detection
The SC600W can record in either
continuous or motion activation. The
default mode is continuous; it will
automatically start recording in this mode
when it is initially powered on. If you set
it to motion activation, it will run in this
mode the next time you power it on.
1. Continuous Recording
A. Make sure a micro SD card is inserted &
slide the power switch to the ON position.
B. The front indicator light will show blue for
5 seconds & then turn OFF. After 15 seconds,
the light will turn back on for 20 seconds &
turn back OFF for 10 seconds. After the 10

seconds, it will begin flashing.
C. Once the blue light begins flashing
continuously, recording has begun.
NOTE: When the SC600W is connected as a
Wi-Fi IP camera, the front indicator light will
no longer flash, but be a solid blue light. To
turn off the indicator light, see section 9-2D.
2. Motion Detection Recording
Before changing to motion detection
mode, download & connect the camera to
the RecorderGear App (See sections 6-8).
A. After completing sections 6-8 open the
RecorderGear App.
B. Press the Camera Settings icon to the
right of the camera on the Live Video/Main
Page & select Device Settings.
C. Select Recording Settings & tap Record.
D. Select Motion Detection
E. Select OK to save the settings.
F. Select Alarm Settings & change the
Motion Detection Sensitivity to adjust it.
NOTE: Make sure you change the Motion

Detection Settings in the Alarm Settings. If
it’s DISABLED, your camera will NOT record in
motion detection. (See section 11-1A)
3. Stop Video Recording
Slide the power switch to the OFF position.
NOTE: The default video file interval length is
3 minutes. To change this, see section 11-3D
5Access Saved
Recordings
There are two methods to access saved
recordings
1. Remove The SD Card
A. Slide the power switch to OFF & remove
the SD card.
B. Insert the SD card into a card reader &
insert it into your PC.
C. Open the disk that appears on your PC.
NOTE: We recommend using VLC media
player to playback your files.
2. Use The RecorderGear App
(See section 8-3)

RecorderGear APP
A. Visit the App Store for iOS devices or
Google Play Store for Android devices.
B. Search for RecorderGear.
C. Download & install the APP on your iOS/
Android device.

7Set-up Wi-Fi IP Camera
Function
The rst step in getting the SC600W to
function as a Wi-Fi IP camera, is to connect
your iOS/Android device to the SC600W’s
Wi-Fi signal. Then use the RecorderGear
APP to connect the SC600W to your home/
business Wi-Fi network (see section 7-2)

1. Connect Your iOS/Android
Device To The SC600W’s Wi-Fi
Signal
A. Download & install the RecorderGear APP
on your iOS/Android device. (See section 6)
B. Turn ON the SC600W.
C. Allow 2 minutes for your SC600W to set
up & transmit a Wi-Fi signal.
D. Locate the camera UID on the QR code
sticker of your SC600W. (Located on the back
of the device under the cover)
NOTE: The UID & QR code is unique to your
device.

E. Open the Wi-Fi Settings of your iOS/
Android device, then select the camera’s UID
(on QR code sticker) from the Wi-Fi list.
F. Open the RecorderGear APP & tap Search
(upper right corner); you should see the
SC600W’s UID, tap to connect to it & then it
will be added to your camera list.
NOTE: If the SC600W’s UID doesn’t show up
in the search, add the camera manually by
tapping Add Camera (upper right corner).
Next, tap the Add New Camera Manually;

then, tap QR Scan to use your phone to scan
the QR code. After scanning tap OK.
G. On the Live Video/Main Page , select
the camera from your list. You will be asked
to change your password. Select Change &
input a new password. Default password is
8888.
H. Start viewing the live video feed by
selecting the camera on the Live Video/
Main Page .
NOTE: At this point, you can only operate
the APP within range of the SC600W’s Wi-Fi
signal. For full Wi-Fi IP camera functionality,
complete the next section 7-2.

2. Connect SC600W To Home/
Business Wi-Fi
A. Make sure you have completed section
7-1 before proceeding.
B. Tap the Camera Settings icon to the
right of the camera on the Live Video/Main
Page & select Device Settings.
C. Tap Wi-Fi Settings & select your Home/
Business Wi-Fi name. Enter your Home/
Business Wi-Fi password as prompted.
D. Tap OK to accept the connection.
E. Confirm you want to connect the SC600W
to the Wi-Fi, by tapping OK.
F. It will then say Device Reset, tap OK.

G. Completely close out of the RecorderGear
APP & wait for 40 seconds.
H. Open the RecorderGear APP, the camera
status will say on-line .
I. You can now change the SC600W’s
settings & remotely view a live video stream,
from anywhere in the world.
NOTE: When the SC600W is connected as a
Wi-Fi IP camera, the front indicator light will
no longer flash, but be a solid blue light. To
turn off the indicator light, see section 9-2D.

This section will help you understand& the
functions of the RecorderGear APP.

1. Live Video Page/Main Page
This page shows all cameras & statuses.
A. Add Camera - This allows you to add a
new camera. (See section 7-1F)
B. Search - This adds a camera to the Live
Video/Main page. (See section 7-1F)
C. Camera Settings - Select this icon
to modify, delete, reconnect, & access the
device settings. (See section 10)
D. Live Video/Main Page - This page
shows all cameras & their status.
E. Grid-view Page - Tap this icon to watch
& stream up to 4 cameras at once.
2. Photo Media Page
This page contains all photos taken on the
Live Stream Video Page (See Section 9).
Press & hold pictures for more options.

These options include:
A. Save to Album - Save snapshots/photos
to your phone’s photos APP.
B. Share - Share snapshots/photos to social
media or save to your phones photos APP.
C. Delete Snapshot - Delete a specific
snapshot/photo.
D. Delete All - Delete all the photos that
have been taken through the APP.
3. Recording Media Page
This page contains recordings taken in the
APP & les on the micro SD card.

A. On App Recordings - Tap this icon to
view files that have been recorded through
the APP.
B. Micro SD Card Recordings - Shows
footage contained on the micro SD card. To
download video files to the APP, first, select
your desired camera. Next, press & hold
the file you would like to download. Tap
download & it will begin downloading.
C. Downloading Micro SD Card Footage -
This is where files go while they are being
downloaded
