Safety Information
Please note: BecauseDAB+digitalradioisadeveloping technology, stationavailability
maychangewithoutnotice.Asnewmultiplexesand transmittersare turnedon,new
stationswill begintransmitting andnewpostcodeswill be abletoreceiveDAB+ digitalradio.
Conversely, someDAB+ radiostationsmaydisappear withoutnotice.
Covers -Donotremoveanyfixedcoversasthismayexposedangerousvoltages.
Weather -Itisadvisabletounpluganexternalaerialduring athunderstorm.
Ventilation -Theventilation holesonthecasing preventyour product fromoverheating.Do
notblock orcovertheseholes, especiallywithclothorpaper. It isrecommendedyou leave
a10cmgap allaroundtheunit.
Damage -Neverusethe productifitisdamaged inanyway.Alwaysplacethe uniton aflat
levelsurfaceavoiding anywhere whichmaybe subjected tostrongvibration.
Batteries -Batteriesareeasilyswallowed byyoungchildren. Donotallowyoung children

c.Setthevolumecontroltominimumif desired.

monotoAuto(stereo).

Operating YourRadio –DAB+
1.Carefullyextend the telescopicaerial.
2.Pressthe STBY/ON button toswitchonyour radio.
3.Ifthisisthe firsttimethe radioisused,aquickscanofUKBand IIIDAB+
channelswillbecarriedout.Thedisplaywillshow"AutotuneQuickscan".
Ifthe radiohasbeenusedbefore, thelast usedstationwillbeselected.
4.During Autotune,aseachgroupofstationsisdetected,thebottomlineof
the displaywillshowitsnameand thestationcountwillbe updated.The
top line ofthedisplayshowsabargraphindicatingprogressofthe
Autotune.
5.WhentheAutotune iscompleted,thefirststation(innumeric-alphaorder
0...9...A....Z)willbeselected.
6.Ifthestationlist isstill emptyafter the Autotune, your radiowill display"No
Signal".
7.Ifnosignalsare founditmaybenecessarytorelocateyour radiotoa
position givingbetter reception.

Selecting aStation –DAB+
1.Thetop line ofthedisplayshowsthe nameofthestationcurrently
selected.
2.Rotatethe Scroll Knob toscroll through thelist ofavailablestations.Stop
rotatingthe ScrollKnob whenyou findthestation thatyou wishtohear.
3.Pressandreleasethe Scroll Knob toselectthe station.Thedisplaymay
show"Tuning"whileyourradiofindsthe newstation.
4.AdjusttheVolumecontroltothe requiredsetting.
Note:
Ifthedisplayshows "NotAvailable" after selecting astatio
n,itmaybe
necessarytorelocateyourradio toaposition givingbetterreception.

SecondaryServices –DAB+
1.Certainradiostationshaveoneor more secondaryservicesassociated
withthem.Ifastation hasasecondaryserviceassociated withit, the
displaywillshow">"nexttothestation nameonthestationlist.The
secondaryservicewillthenappear immediatelyaftertheprimaryservice
asyou rotatethe Scroll Knob clockwise.

Display Modes –DAB+
1.Yourradiohassixdisplaymodes.
2.Pressthe INFO button tocyclethroughthe variousmodes:
a.Scrollingtext Displayscrolling textmessagessuchas
artist/track name,phoneinnumber, etc.
b.Programtype Displaytypeofstationbeinglistenedtoe.g. Pop,
Classic,News, etc.
c.MultiplexName Displaynameofmultiplextowhichcurrent
station belongs.
d.Signalstrength Displaysignalstrengthforstation being
listened to.
e.Timeand date Displaycurrenttimeanddate.

Autoselect –DAB+
Asanalternativetopressingthe ScrollKnob toselectastation,yourradiocan
besettoselect astationautomatically.
1.Rotatethe Scroll Knob afewclicksineitherdirection,immediatelypress
andholdinthe ScrollKnob until the displayshows"AutoselectON".
2.Rotatethe ScrollKnob untilthe stationyourequire isvisibleonthe
display.After afewseconds,your radiowillautomaticallyselectthe
station shownonthedisplay.
3.Toswitchoff Autoselect,rotatethe ScrollKnob afewclicksineither
directionand immediatelypress andholdinthe Scroll Knob until the
displayshows"AutoselectOFF".

ManualTuning –DAB+
ManualTuning allowsyoutotune directlytothevariousDAB+BandIII channels.
UK DABstationsare locatedinthe range11Bto12D.
1.Pressandholdinthe Scroll Knob untilthedisplayshows"Manualtune".
2.Rotatethe ScrollKnob toselecttherequired DAB+channel.
3.Pressandreleasethe Scroll Knob toselectthechannel.
4.Rotatethe ScrollKnob toselectthestationscontained withinthe
Multiplex(groupof stations)for the selected DAB+channel.
5.Pressandreleasethe Scroll Knob toreturn tonormaltuningmode.

SignalStrength Display –DAB+
1.Repeatedlypressandreleasethe INFO buttonuntil the lower line of the
displayshowssignalstrength.
2.Position yourradioand carefullyanglethe telescopicaerialforbest
receptionusingthesignalstrengthdisplayasaguide.Moveyour radio
aroundand position soastogivemaximumnumberof blackrectangleson
signalstrengthdisplay.
3.Theclearunfilledrectangleindicatesminimumsignallevelrequired for
satisfactoryreception.
Setting DAB+ Presets
Youcanpreset up to8DAB+stationsasfollows:
1. Turn tothe stationthatyouwanttoset intothepresetmemory.
2. PressandholdthePRESETbutton(store into1-4 or press SHIFT to
storein5-8).
3. “Preset *stored”willappearon the displaywhen thepresethasbeen
saved.
Selecting aDAB+PresetChannel
Youcanpreset up to8DAB+stationsasfollows.
1. Press1-4 button.
2. Orpress SHIFT then press1-4.

3.Pressthe DAB+/FM buttontoselect the FMband.
4.Pressand immediatelyreleasethe SCAN button,your radiowillscanin
anupwardsdirection (lowfrequencytohigh frequency)andstop
automaticallywhenitfindsastation ofsufficient strength.
5.Afterafewsecondsthedisplaywillupdateand showstationname.
6.Tofindother stations, pressandreleasethe SCAN buttonasbefore.
7.Toscan theFMbandinadownwardsdirection (highfrequencytolow
frequency),pressandholddownthe SCAN buttonfor 2-3secondsand
release.
8.When thewaveband endisreached,yourradiowillrecommencetuning
fromthe oppositewaveband end.
9.AdjusttheVolumecontroltothe requiredsetting.
10.Toswitchoff your radio, press the STBY/ON button.

1.Pressthe STBY/ON button toswitchonyour radio.
2.Pressthe DAB+/FM buttontoselecttheFMband.Fullyextendthe
Telescopicaerial.
3.Rotatethe ScrollKnob totune toastation.Thefrequencywillchangein
stepsof50kHz.
4.Whenthewaveband endisreached,theradiowill recommencetuning
fromthe oppositewaveband end.
5.Set the Volumecontroltotherequiredsetting.
6.Toswitchoff your radio, press the STBY/ON button.

OnFM,the bottomline of thedisplaycanbesettoanyofthefollowing modes.

FMStereo/Mono
1.Ifastationbeingreceivedhasweaksignals,somehiss maybe audible.
Toreducethe hiss,pressand holdinthe ScrollKnob untilthedisplay
shows"Audiomode: Mono".Yourradiowillswitchtomono mode.
2.Toreturntostereo mode,press and holdinthe Scroll Knob untilthe
displayshows"Audiomode:Auto".Yourradiowillswitchtostereo mode.
Note: FM stereo isonlyavailablewhenlistening viaearphone/headphones.
Setting FMPresets
Youcanpreset up to8FMstationsasfollows.
1. Turn tothestation thatyou want tosetintothepresetmemory.
2. PressandholdthePRESETbutton(store into1-4or press SHIFT tostore
in5-8)
3. “Preset*stored”willappear on thedisplaywhen thepresethasbeen
saved.

AlarmSettings
1. Press ALARM buttonandthen pressthe Scroll Knob toselectAlarm
On/Off.
2.Pressandholdthe ScrollKnob andthe radiowilldisplaythealarmtime.
3.Turnthe ScrollKnob tosetthehour and press Scroll Knob toconfirm.
4.Thedisplay will askyou tosetthe minuteafter thestepsabove.
5.Turnthe ScrollKnob tosettheminuteandpress Scroll Knob toconfirm.
6.Thedisplay will ask you tosetAlarm Type.
7.Turnthe ScrollKnob tocyclethrough BEEP,FM and DAB+.Press Scroll
Knob toselect.
8.Wait for 8secondsafter finishing theAlarmsettings.
NOTE: If thevolumecontrolisat minimum level, the alarmsound willnotbeheard
AlarmSound Off
·When thealarm is activated,pressanybuttontoturnit off;
·Todisablealarm,atabovestep1, press the Scroll Knob toselect AlarmOff.
