SOUND DESCRIPTION
Kalì Mk II is the first ever amplifier form RedSeven Amplification. This is our take on the
vintage 2x12 british combo amplifier of the mid ‘60s.
Beside this design many “boutique” guys spent a lot of their time developing their own
version, including mr. Ken Fisher, the father of boutique design along with Howard
Dumble.
We done the same with our Kalì but making it way more usable in live and studio
situation by adding a few twists.
This amplifier keeps ithe original feel of the el84 based amp of the ‘60s, with added:
- Mid control: now you have the possibility to not have only that strong mid range
old amps are famous for, but it extend the sonic palette to many different sounds.
- Master volume: a special one. You can overdrive the preamp just a little bit in
order to obtain a that crunch bite. If having Master volume at 10 it’s like not
having this control in the signal path.
- Boost switch: this change the gain structure in one of the preamplifier stages.
More bass, more volume and a little bit of gain are added to the “normal” sound.
Perfect for the ones who love to live in the edge of breakup and play with volume
pot on your guitar.
- Aureal Verb: we love so much spring reverb but at the same time we hate the
added noise from the springs/amplifier circuit, so we went for the best digital
emulation of spring reverb, our Aureal Verb, now with mix and time controls.
