READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
DANGER
As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even
when switch is off. To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
■ Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
■ Use only when the appliance is in dry condition.
■ Detach the appliance from the power supply cord before cleaning.
■ Do not submerge the appliance in water.
■ Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or
sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
■ Except when charging, always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet
immediately after using.
■ Unplug this appliance before cleaning.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
■ Your trimmer should never be left unattended when plugged in, except when
charging your rechargeable trimmer.
■ Close supervision is necessary when this trimmer is used by, on, or near
children or persons with special needs or certain disabilities.
■ Use this trimmer only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
■ Always ensure the trimmer is switched off when cleaning or when using in
water.
■ Do not submerge in water. For use under running water only.
■ Always store in a moisture-free environment.
■ Keep the charging stand cord/electrical power adapter away from heated
surfaces.
■ Never operate this appliance if the trimmer or charging base/electrical power
adaptor has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working correctly, if it has been
dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. If the supply cord or plug of this
appliance is damaged the adapter must be replaced.
■ Do not operate this appliance with a damaged or broken comb or cutter, or with
teeth missing from the blades as injury may occur.
■ Always attach the plug to appliance first, then to outlet. To disconnect, turn all
controls to “off,” then remove the plug from the outlet.
■ The power unit is intended to be oriented in a vertical or floor-mount position.
■ Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
■ Do not use the trimmer if the skin is infected or broken.
■ Do not use outdoors or where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where
oxygen is being administered.
■ Do not leave the trimmer in direct sunlight or in temperatures exceeding 140˚ F
(60˚C).
■ For household use only.

Please refer to the safety instructions and warnings at the front of this
manual before using this product.
Before using your Grooming System for the first time, charge the unit for 14-16
hours for optimal performance:
1. Connect the Power Adaptor cord to the Storage Stand. Plug into electrical outlet.
(NOTE: adapter may be plugged directly into groomer body, bypassing the
Storage Stand).
2. Place groomer body into Storage Stand. The indicator light illuminates when
charging.

How To Use
NOTE:
■ Be sure the unit is “off” before attempting to change attachments.
■ When using the appliance with the cord attached take care to ensure the cord is
not twisted and is free of knots.
1. Select attachment that best fits your personal grooming needs.
2. Remove existing Trimmer Blade from Groomer by turning the attachment to
loosen and detach it. Replace with your selected attachment.
3. Slide On/Off Switch upward to power the Grooming System.
4. The Reversible Comb Attachments (9/12mm and 3/6mm) are to be used along
with the 30mm Trimmer Blade. To add, align the Comb side rails with slots of
Trimmer head. Secure Comb by sliding downward, away from blade head.

NOTE: Always recycle or properly dispose of batteries according to Local and
State requirements.
1. Unplug groomer from outlet to avoid risk of electrical shock.
2. Remove rear groomer cover by first prying the rubber panel
from the product with a flat head screwdriver.
3. Next, pry the back panel from the product with a flat head
screwdriver. This will expose the batteries.
4. With wire cutters, clip the wires leading to the batteries.
5. Remove the batteries from the product. Contact your local
authorities for proper disposal.
CAUTION: THESE NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERIES MUST BE RECYCLED OR
DISPOSED OF IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
Do not burn or mutilate, as they may burst or release toxic materials. Do not
short-circuit, as this may cause burns.
The EPA-certified RBRC® Battery Recycling Seal on the nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd)
battery indicates Spectrum Brands, Inc. is voluntary participating in an industry
program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of their useful life, when
HAIR:
■ Should be dry and free of lotions or other liquids.
■ Comb outward to obtain maximum height / length and facing in the same
direction.
BEARD/MUSTACHE:
■ Use a comb to straighten hair for trimming.
■ When TRIMMING, attach 18mm Trimmer Blade. Hold Blade facing self and begin
with edge of Beard line by gently lowering Trimmer Blade against skin. Use
forward motions toward Beard line to trim desired locations. Follow the jaw line
back toward ear.
■ When THINNING or TAPERING, attach desired Comb Attachment to the 30mm
Trimmer Blade. Place flat top of Comb gently against the skin. Slowly guide the
Groomer through hair, repeating in various directions as necessary.
SHORT HEAD HAIR:
■ Follow THINNING & TAPERING instructions referenced above.
■ Attach 38mm or 30mm Trimmer Blade to draw trim lines into head hair. Lower
and gently place blade on area, moving the Groomer along head. For more
detailed, precise styles, use the 18mm Trimmer Blade.
SIDEBURNS:
■ Use a comb to first straighten hairs for trimming.
■ With 18mm Trimmer Blade facing self, start with edge of sideburn by resting
blade lightly against skin.
NAPE OF NECK:
■ Using a hand-held mirror is necessary if self-trimming.
■ Attach the 38mm T Trimmer Blade.
■ Lift hair off neck, using index finger to cover & protect those hairs NOT needing
trimming.
■ Carefully touch cutting blade to neck, slowly moving the groomer in an upward
direction until stopped by index finger.
Grooming Tips Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
NOTE: Always clean Grooming System attachments regularly to ensure maximum
performance and a proper operating life.
CAUTION:
■ Be sure the groomer is detached from the power supply cord before cleaning.
■ The groomer should not be used until it has dried.
CLEANING ATTACHMENTS WITH WATER
1. Remove attachment.
2. Rinse ONLY the attachment under warm running water. Do NOT use hot water as
this might cause damage.
CLEANING ATTACHMENTS WITH BRUSH
■ After first removing attachment, thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings
from cutter system, attachment, and top of power handle.
OILING BLADES & CAUTIONS
■ Rinsing attachments under water (above) requires lubricating the cutting blades
1x monthly. Remove blade set by first removing the screws in head of Trimming
Blades. Blade set will separate from body, allowing cleaning as necessary.
Replace blade set and place 1-2 drops of Oil provided. Spread with fingertip and
wipe away all excess oil.
■ Use only light-grade oils (e.g. sewing machine oil) as these will not evaporate nor
slow down speed of cutting blades.
■ Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with kerosene or solvent as these
too will evaporate.
STORAGE
■ Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store in
temperatures exceeding 140˚F (60˚C).
■ Do not wrap the cord of the charging adaptor around the appliance.
MAINTENANCE
■ This groomer contains no user-serviceable parts.

Q: WHAT IF THE CUTTERS DON’T MOVE WHEN TURNED ON?
A: The cutting unit may be dirty or clogged. Clean and lubricate the groomer as
described previously.
Q: WHAT IF THE GROOMER DOESN’T WORK AT ALL WHEN TURNED ON?
A: The groomer might simply need charging. Follow instructions for charging as
described previously. Should charging prove unsuccessful, contact customer ser-
vice at 1-800-736-4648 in the U.S. or 800-268-0425 in Canada for assistance.
Q: WHAT IF THE GROOMER FAILS TO HOLD A CHARGE?
A: Fully discharge the groomer by running until completely stopping. Next, follow
recharging instructions described previously. If time between recharging cycles
fails to increase, the battery might require replacement. Contact customer service
at 1-800-736-4648 in the U.S. or 800-268-0425 in Canada for assistance.

Limited Two-Year Warranty

to faulty material or workmanship for a two-year period from the original date
of consumer purchase. This warranty does not include damage to the product
