• REXENER hot tub kits are compliant with the EN 17125 standard’s installation method
concerning hot tubs installed on the ground outdoors.
• The estimated installation time of REXENER hot tub kits is approximately 3 hours.
• The hot tub should be lled according to the number of users, and considering the maximum
lling volume (ca. 1,500 l).
• If the heating device (wood stove/REXENER PR200 water heater) is not on use, the water must
be emptied from the heating device.
• In winter use, it is especially important that there is no water left in the system, as this could
cause damage.
• The warranty of the manufacturer and importer does not compensate for damage caused by
freezing.
• The use of an insulation cover speeds up heating and decreases water evaporation on the water
surface.

10
• The base of the hot tub can be built with gravel or
crushed stone, for example.
• A well rammed bottom is the best base for a hot
tub.
• Frost insulation can be installed on the base. This
way, the earth cannot move, and the hot tub stays
rmly in place.
• It can be good to place concrete stones under the
hot tub and frame, for example. When installed
this way, the bottom frame of the tub and box
is left slightly above the ground, and the air also
circulates under the frame.
• The wood stove (REXENER Silence) and the
protective case containing technical parts
(REXENER Aurora/Polar) must be installed on an
even surface, and at the same level as the hot tub
kit frame’s bottom.
• The base must be able to carry ca. 2,500 kg.
• When choosing the location, consider the possibilities for emptying the tub.

11
• If the hot tub kit is embedded in the terrace, the specications in this instruction manual and
the EN 17125 standard must be given special attention.
• All REXENER hot tubs can be embedded in a terrace as desired.
• When embedding a tub, take into account that the base for the hot tub kit has been designed to
an appropriate height.
• The borders of the hot tub must remain at least 15–20 cm from the terrace’s surface. When
installed this way, the edges of the insulation cover have enough room to t in place.
• The hole made in the terrace must be at least 1,900 x 1,900 mm to allow the hot tub to t easily
into place.
• When embedding a REXENER Silence hot tub, the space needed for the wood stove must be
considered.
• The wood stove must be separated from the terrace’s wooden parts, and safety distances must
be taken into account.
• In connection with REXENER Aurora/Polar hot tubs, take into account the protective case that is
assembled on the hot tub’s side. The bottom of the protective case must be at the same level as
the hot tub’s base. Safety distances must also be observed when installing the protective case.
• When embedding the product in a terrace, it is very important to ensure that there are no access
obstacles for servicing and heating the protective case (REXENER Polar/Aurora) and wood stove
(REXENER Silence).
• Take into account the installation of hoses used for draining the hot tub, and the access to the
eventual draining tap.

12
• The stove must be installed on an even surface, and at the same level as the hot tub kit frame’s
bottom.
• The upper return water hose must be ascending seen from the stove, whereas the lower suction
hose must be in a horizontal position or at a slightly descending angle in relation to the feed
through.
• If necessary, the rubber hoses delivered with the hot tub kit should be shortened as appropriate.
• The free circulation of water must not be closed because of pressure accumulation.
• It is also recommended that concrete slabs, for example, be installed under the frame and stove to
improve air circulation.
• Make sure that the heating device has been completely lled with water before you start heating
• The smoke pipes included in the hot tub are made of stainless steel. The package includes 2 x 1,000
mm interconnectable smoke pipes. One of them has a pipe hat. The smoke pipes are installed inside
each other by the seams and placed on top of the stove’s smoke hole.
• The lower pipe is a straight pipe, installed inside the collar on top of the stove. The upper pipe is
equipped with an integrated pipe hat and installed to extend the lower pipe.
• The hoses of the stove have been pre-installed.
• The hoses are attached to the stove so that the lower suction hose is connected to the stove’s lowest
connection, and the upper return hose is connected to the uppermost connection of the stove.
• The suction and return hoses have been pre-cut to a length of ca. 35–40 cm. The hoses can be
shortened as necessary by cutting them.

• REXENER Aurora and Polar hot tubs are equipped with pool lights. The RGB pool light is adjusted
with a remote control.
• The hot tub has no separate button to control the lights. The lights are turned on and o by pressing
the remote-control button.
• You can leave on only one light or use several pre-programmed colour programmes by operating
the remote control.
• The remote control must not be touched with wet hands, because it is not water resistant.
• The remote control should be stored in a warm place indoors.
• The electric cord of the LED light is connected to the socket in the protective case
• REXENER Polar is equipped with a whirlpool bath kit.
• The switch, pump, nozzles and electric cord of the whirlpool bath kit have been pre-installed. The
pump and electric cord of the whirlpool bath kit are located inside the frame, close to the edge on
the box’s side. From there, it is easy to connect them to the pre-installed socket in the box.
• The button of the whirlpool bath kit is installed at the pool’s edge, on the side of the step
• The whirlpool bath kit is turned on and o by pressing the button located on the pool’s edge.
• The electric cord of the whirlpool bath kit is connected to the socket in the protective case
Please note!
REXENER Polar hot tubs are equipped with whirlpool bath kits. Water can remain in the pipes of whirlpool
bath devices, even though the pool is emptied. The water does not drain from the piping on its own. The
whirlpool bath device must be turned on when draining the pool after the water surface is below the
whirlpool nozzle. This way, whirlpool bath pipes are completely emptied of water, and the problems and
damage caused by the eventual freezing of pipes can be avoided.

15
• The pool must be lled to 5 cm above the uppermost stove feed through before you start
heating. If the stove heating is started, and the stove’s water container is not full of water, the
stove will melt and may cause serious injuries in the worst case.
• Ensure that the pool is empty, and the bottom valve and/or plug are closed before you start
heating.
• Also make sure that the water circulation in the stove has not been blocked or closed before you
start heating.
• Check that the attachment points between the stove and pool are not leaking. If you detect a
leak, the connections must be tightened enough to stop it.
Please note! The use of a wood stove takes practice and the right heating method to achieve the best
result.
• Do not use lighter uid to ignite the wood
• The wood to be burned should preferably be in small pieces
• Do not use wood containing nails or construction waste in the stove. The aluminium stove does
not tolerate hot metal objects, and they will damage the stove
• Adjust the air-ow with controls so that it is continuously strong
• When heating cold water and a new stove, some water may come out of the front corners. This
is condensation water, and it will stop when the stove has been used a few times.
• Mix the water in the pool during heating to achieve an even temperature.
• Empty both the pool and stove of water.
• Open the stove’s drainage plug at its front corner, and open the pool’s drainage valve and plug.
• The stove’s re must be extinguished and cooled down before drainage to avoid dangerous
situations and damage.
• The cover of the pool should be left slightly open to avoid a vacuum in the pool.
• If the stove is stored in freezing temperatures, make sure that all the water has been drained
from both the stove and hoses.
• The replace of the stove must be cleaned after use. For cleaning, use products appropriate for
cleaning heated surfaces, such as oven cleaning agents or similar cleaning products.
The water jacket of the stove must be cleaned regularly to remove eventual accumulated dirt. The
water jacket can be cleaned using the stove’s upper feed through by ushing with a water hose, for
example.
The stove’s smoke pipes must be sooted on a regular basis, ca. 2 to 3 times each year.
The grates used in the stove get worn down in use, and they must be changed. Check the condition
of the grates before heating. If you want to buy a new grate for the stove as an accessory, you can nd
up-to-date contact information at www.rexener.com.

16
• Before lling the pool, make sure that the pool is empty, and the bottom valve and/or plug are
closed.
• Ensure that the draining tap/plug of the REXENER PR-200 water heater and REXENER circulation
pump is closed.
• Ensure that the water circulation of the REXENER PR200 water heater and Rexener circulation pump
has not been blocked or closed before you start heating.
• Check that the attachment points between the heater and pump and the pool are not leaking. If you
detect a leak, the connections must be tightened enough to stop it
• The pool must be lled, or at least the leg space must be lled to the lower rim of the seat before
starting the heater/pump.
• Fill the fuel tank with biodiesel, diesel or “red diesel” before start-up
• The REXENER PR200 water heater is started by pressing the start button. To regulate the
temperature, use the arrow buttons.
• The maximum temperature is 45 degrees Celsius.
• The recommended bathing temperature is 37 to 39 degrees.
• Detailed instructions for the Rexener heater and the Rexener lter and pump can be found in the
manual section that covers device operating instructions, or in the separate manuals for the heater
and pump.

17
The glass bre pool must be cleaned and dried whenever possible, such as when the pool is empty.
After use, the pool must be ushed thoroughly. If pool care products such as chemicals are used in
the pool, the water’s pH must be monitored closely to avoid damage.
• We recommend that REXENER hot tub pools be cleaned thoroughly once per year. Detergents
suitable for plastic surfaces can be used for cleaning. Edges and surfaces should be cleaned
with a damp cloth. When necessary, stuck dirt can be removed from pool surfaces with a magic
sponge, for example. Abrasive materials must not be used.
• The water must meet swimming water criteria, the pH value must be correct, and the chemicals
must be dosed in accordance with instructions.
• In normal use, there is little need for maintenance.
• If the gelcoat surface requires polishing or grinding, devices/products intended for boat care are
suitable for treating the surfaces.
• Contact the manufacturer’s maintenance service if necessary.
• Gabro black (dark grey) Gelcoat RAL7021
• Arctic white (white) Pool colour SW P10616 S
• The warranty granted for the pool does not cover faults caused by erroneous use, such as
corrosion of the pool or its accessories, or surface damage. You can nd the detailed warranty
terms at www.rexener.com
• When emptying the pool, the water must be directed into the appropriate waste-water system.
When using chemicals, the water must be drained to the sewer to prevent contamination.
Oiled spruce panels retain their colour well, but it is recommended to repeat the surface treatment
according to need..
Hottubs are manufactured using Rexener Gray, a shade of gray tinted separately for Rexener products,
to which a wood preservative has been added. You can purchase the original color from your nearest
Rexener dealer or the Rexener online store. With the original Rexener paint, you ensure the best
possible durability of the wood frame in all conditions and the shade is the same as the original.
If you wish, you can also use another paint suitable for treating wood cladding surfaces. In general,
the most common wood oils and translucent dyes, both water-based and solvent-based, are suitable
for this. Always make sure the product is suitable for the surface to be treated rst and test it on a
small area before treating the entire pool. The warranty does not cover defects caused by the use of
the wrong type of treatment agent.

18
Rexener hot tub products have been designed for tough Northern conditions. Hot tub kits are frost-proof
when used and maintained correctly.
During winter use, it is important to keep the pool’s drainage pipe empty, so that it does not freeze. When
you use the pool’s bottom plug, the drainage pipe remains empty, and the problems caused by freezing
are thus avoided. When drainage pipes are equipped with a drainage valve, it is important to keep the
drainage valve open or at least 45 degrees in the open position during the winter. If the drainage valve
is closed, water can remain inside the drainage valve and pipe, causing damage when it freezes. A pool
bottom plug must be used in all hot tub versions.
• Drain the pool and heating devices with pipes completely
• Cover the pool and accessories so that they do not touch snow and ice directly.
• Keep the plug delivered with the pool for later use.
• Ensure that snow does not accumulate in the support frame or pool of the hot tub kit.
• PLEASE NOTE! THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE CAUSED BY FREEZING
The hot tub kit can also be used in winter. Model-specic dierences and precautions must be observed
during winter use.
In winter use, it is important to consider especially blocks caused by freezing in the water-ow channels.
Please note! Water must not be allowed to freeze in either heating mode (wood stove/REXENER PR200
water heater). Maintain the water temperature so that it does not freeze.
The wood stove (REXENER Silence) must not be used if ice is detected in the water-ow piping or stove,
and water cannot circulate normally. If you notice that the water ow channels are frozen, the stove
should be removed and taken to a warm space to thaw.
The REXENER PR200 water heater (REXENER Aurora/Polar) is excellent for winter use. The most important
thing is to ensure that the ow channels are not blocked, and water ows normally.
If you notice that a ow channel has frozen, it must be thawed before starting the pump and heater.
During winter use, it is recommended to add enough warm water into the pool to open the pump and
ow channels, and allow water to ow freely in the piping.
If the circulation pump freezes, it can be started by pouring 1 L of warm water into the circulation pump.
After this, the pool can be lled with water normally. You can maintain the water temperature at ten
degrees, for example, and heat the water quickly to an optimal bathing temperature.
