WARNING! When using power gardening tools, the following safety instructions must be observed to reduce the risk of
personal injury and property damage. Please read and observe the following instructions before use.
1.
Use eye protection
Always wear suitable safety glasses or goggles.
2. Wear suitable work clothes
Wear work gloves, solid shoes, long trousers, and protecting hair
covering to contain long hair when using power tools. Do not wear
loose fitting clothing or jewellery.
3. Extension cords
This tool is intended to be used in conjunction with an extension
cord to supply power. Please inspect the cord prior to use to
ensure that it is in good order. Do not use damaged cords. Avoid
using extension cords excessively long for the job at hand. Avoid
connecting multiple extension cords end-to-end.
4. Guard against electric shock
If the extension cord becomes damaged or entangled in the tool,
stop and unplug the cord at the mains socket immediately.
5. Observe work area environment
Do not expose power tools to rain or damp and wet conditions. Do
not use power tools in close proximity to flammable liquids or
gases. The work area should be well lit and ventilated.
6. Keep others away
Power garden tools can throw cuttings and objects in use. Keep
others and animals at a distance of at least 3 metres (10 feet).
7. Use safely
Do not touch the cutter of the tool while connected to power. Keep
the extension cord behind the tool during use.
8. Don’t overreach when working
Keep a balanced footing at all times. Avoid abnormal stances and
awkward body positioning. Use both hands to control the tool.
9. Do not overload or force tools
Forcing the tool may cause motor damage.
10. Check for damage
Before use always check the protection guards carefully to ensure
proper operation and performance. Check for alignment of
moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,
mountings and any other condition that may effect the tools
operation. An authorised service dealer should properly repair all
damaged parts unless otherwise indicated elsewhere in the
instruction manual. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn
it on and off. Never use tool with a broken or missing guard.
11. Repairs
This power tool is built in accordance with the relevant safety
standards. An electrical specialist must carry out repairs, otherwise
accidents may result.
12. Pull out power plug
Ensure power is disconnected when changing accessories,
maintaining, or when the tool is not in use.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
13. Use the right tool
Do not force a small tool or accessory to do the job of a heavy-
duty tool. Only use the tool for its intended purpose.
14. Maintain tools with care
For efficient and safe operation tools should be kept clean and
the accessories ie. blade, should be sharp during use. Check the
plug and cable regularly, if damaged they should be repaired by
an authorised electrical specialist.
15. Avoid unintentional starting
Do not carry tools by the switch. Always check that the switch is in
the off position before connecting to power source.
16. Don’t abuse power cable
Never carry the tool by the power cable. Do not use the power
cable to pull the plug out of the power point. The cable should
also be protected from heat, oil and sharp objects.
17. Usage and Storage
This tool is not intended for use by children or infirm persons. Do
not allow children to play with this tool. When not in use your
power tools should be stored in a dry area, which is not accessible
to children.
18. Stay alert
Do not use the tool when you are tired. Use common sense and
watch what you are doing.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Please read before using this tool
• This tool is designed for DIY (Do it Yourself) consumer use
only and is covered by a 12 month replacement warranty.
It is not intended for commercial or industrial use and the
warranty does not apply for these applications.
• When first using the tool, it may emit a slight resin or oily
smell, this is normal and should pass after a period of
time.
• If the tool stalls during use, or the nozzle becomes
clogged, immediately switch off, disconnect power cable
and clear the obstruction before proceeding.
WARNING!
• NEVER operate Blower/Vac unless nozzle is correctly
fitted.
• When the machine is in operation, keep hands away from
the end of the nozzle.
• The Blower/Vac will NOT stop immediately as it is
switched off. Exercise caution.
• Do not place Blower/Vac down until it has come to a
complete stop.
• Do not start Blower/Vac with the nozzle in or under
material.
• Keep power cord well away from the end of the nozzle of
the Blower/Vac.
• Always wear earmuffs and safety glasses while in
operation.
• Always use both hands when operating the tool.
• Always follow the instructions before operating the
Blower/Vac.
• Do not vacuum up liquids or hot ash with this tool.
• Do not blow hot ash, with this tool.
• Avoid sucking up hard objects (ie. stones and gumnuts
etc.) as this may damage or break the vacuum fan blades.
• Do not operate in wet conditions

BEFORE OPERATION
• Ensure power switch is in the OFF position.
• Ensure the nozzle and collection bag is correctly secured.
ASSEMBLY
1. Fit the 2 nozzle sections by pushing the two pieces together (Fig.1)
Fit the screws and nuts supplied to lock the two sections together.
2. Fit the nozzle assembly to the front of the main body (fig.2A).
Ensure the nozzle lock knob is in the “open” position.
3.When nozzle is fully in position lift and turn the nozzle lock knob to
the “closed” position.
4. Connect the collection bag to the outlet flange by pulling tight the
draw string and tying it off.
5. Fit the front handle using the threaded adjustment knob supplied.

APPLICATIONS
• Blowing, vacuuming and mulching of most household garden refuse.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
On/Off Switch
The Blower/Vac is fitted with a trigger switch located at the top of the
handle. To operate press in the release button at the side and press the
trigger. To turn off, release the trigger.
Control Lever for Blowing and Vacuum Mulching
Modes
The Blower/Vac is fitted with a control lever to change the machine
from vacuum/mulching mode to blowing mode (Fig 4 & 5).
For Blowing mode: Shift the lever to the fully down position.
For Vacuum Mulching mode: Shift the lever to the fully up position.
The front handle handle is adjustable. Loosen the locking knob and
adjust the angle of the handle for the most comfortable operating
position then tighten the locking knob.
HINTS
• If leaves and debris are scattered over a large area, it is best to
blow it into a corner first, and then vacuum it up.
• Empty the collection bag at approx. 2/3 full, as this will increase
vacuum efficiency .
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
In the event of the motor fan becoming blocked, the overload switch
may activate, cutting off the motor. In the event of such an occurrence,
disconnect the power and check for a blockage. When cleared, press in
the button of the overload switch, reconnect the power and operate.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1. Regularly inspect all mountings and screws and ensure they are
properly tightened. Should any of the screws be loose, tighten them
immediately. Failure to do so may result in serious damage.
2. To remove the nozzle, remove nozzle retain screws and slide nozzle
off. Ensure that the nozzle is fitted and the screws are tight before
operating the Blower/Vac.
3. Consult an authorised Service Agent in the event
of failure.
4. Clean and dust the tool after each use.

RGM guarantees this product against defects of materials and workmanship for a
period of 1 year from the date of purchase provided that the product is used in
accordance with RGM’s recommendations and within such voltage and current
limits as are specified by RGM in relation to the product. RGM will at its own
option make good, replace with the same or similar product, or provide credit
for any product manufactured or supplied by it, which proves to be defective
within the limits set out above provided always that no repairs, alterations or
modifications to the product have been undertaken or attempted, other than by
the company or its authorised agents. Should the purchaser wish to make a
claim under the guarantee, the product should be returned pre-paid to the place
of purchase. To obtain warranty the purchase receipt must be returned with the
product. This guarantee is in addition to and does not take away from any rights
available to the consumer under the Trade Practices Act and the State consumer
protection legislation.
