Installation of Full Size Paddles for
Thrustmaster Wheel Hubs
This guide will take you step by step through the installation
of your new full size paddles to fit on the GTE, TM28 and
599XX EVO add-on wheel rim hubs.
CAUTION: Be careful to avoid static build-up while handling
the electronics in your wheel. Ricmotech is not responsible
for any damage you may cause to your wheel.
Begin by removing the 2 screws accessible through the
openings in the paddles.
Remove the 3 or 6 screws securing the original wheel to the
hub.
Temporarily remove the D-Pad and grounding spring.
Remove the Quick-Release and unplug the internal cable.
Remove the 4 screws to open the back cover.
Starting with one side first, remove the 4 screws holding the
paddle springs in place.
Temporarily set aside the paddle springs. Then remove the 2
screws securing the paddles to the pivots.
Insert the pre-assembled paddle into the slot and secure to
the original plastic pivot with the 2 original screws. Repeat
the last 3 steps on the other side.
Re-assemble internal paddle spring retainers as shown.
Replace the cover onto the housing and secure with the 4
original screws.
Plug the quick-release into the plug of the internal circuit
board and place the quick-release into the rear housing.
Mount the steering wheel or your Ricmotech wheel adapter
to the front to secure the quick-release into place.
The paddles have 2 mounting positions on the mounting tabs.
The narrower position is suitable for 320mm to 340mm
wheel rims, while the wider position is good for 340mm or
larger wheel rims.
