(1) ＲＯＣタイプとＶＣタイプは、Ｓ－＊タイプとは構造が異なり、１３ページ b)の作業を行って
はいけません。無理に押したりたたいたりすると、カップラが破損し、作動油が流れなくなり
ます。
(2) 作動油は、一般作動油のＩＳＯ ＶＧ３２ (理研パワーオイル、又は同等品。）
をお使いください。リン酸エステル、水－グリコール、w/oエマルジョン系作動油は使用できませ
ん。パッキンの劣化及び機器の腐食などにより、本機が故障します。ご使用の場合には、当社にご
連絡ください。
(3) 廃棄される廃油（作動油）は「産業廃棄物」に該当しますので、自治体の許可を得ている産業廃棄
物収集業者、または産業廃棄物処理業者に委託して廃棄してください。

This operation manual covers operation procedures, warnings and cautions, and trouble shootings for
RIKEN Hand-operated Hydraulic Pump Model
Ｐ－８
and its peripherals.
Before operation, you are kindly requested to read this manual carefully, and to understand the contents
thoroughly. This manual should be put by yourself before, under, and after operation.
ＳＡＦＥＴＹ ＩＮＳＴＲＵＣＴＩＯＮＳ
To use this pump safely, correct operations and periodical checkings shall be requested. Do not
operate this pump before you read and understand safety instructions thoroughly shown in this
manual. And follow , this mark is used to prevent you from causing
property losses or damages, also follow , this mark is used to prevent you
from causing personal injury.
(1) Do not use this pump at the place where personal injury or property damage might happen when
you scatter the hydraulic working oil through your faults. Do not use this pump around the fire.
(2) Do not modify this pump. If you should modify, before modification, you should consult RIKEN or
authorized agents of RIKEN. We are not in a position to guarantee your modifications without our
written approval.
(3) If you operate this pump with air valve closed, when the working oil returns to the tank, the
pressure in the tank will be increased, and the tank might be damaged.
(4) If you return the oil, exceeding the tank capacity, to the tank, the pressure in the tank will be
increased, and the tank might be damaged. Also you might be injured.
(5) Retract the ram piston fully. If you fill the oil with the ram piston extended, when the ram
piston retracts, the oil might flow out from the tank.
(6) The maximum output pressure of these pumps is 70MPa. For safety, each pump is factory fitted
with a high pressure safety valve adjusted to 73MPa. Do not allow the safety valve to be
increased a level hagher than 73MPa.
(7) If this pump is used to operate the peripherals, whose operating pressure is less than 70MPa, set
the high pressure safety valve at the peripherals' operation pressure. If not, the peripheral(s)
might be damaged.
(8) If you release the pressure suddenly from the jacking up rams or wire strands, the loads may fall
down or spring. Then personal injury may be caused. Consult RIKEN or RIKEN's authorized
agents for these applications. They will recommend you suitable valves.
(9) Be sure to use the rams not exceeding the rated pressure capacity. If the pressure exceeds the
rated capacity, the rams and hoses might be damaged, and personal injury may happen.
(10) The allowable eccentric load on the ram piston should be under 2.5%. If you apply more than
2.5% eccentric load, the piston might be bent and/or the cylinder tube might be damaged.
(11) Be sure not to touch the hose under pressure. If you touch the hose, and the hose is damaged,
the pressure oil will jet out to pierce through your hands.
