Product Description
The Rimikon IP Controller is designed to work with all of Rimikon’s Low Voltage LED
Lighting products. Along with its accompanying app, available for both Apple and
Android Devices, it allows you to control single color (RIM-IPC2) or RGB color (RIM-
RGBIPC) or multiple lighting loads conveniently from the palm of your hand. The IP
controller allows for integration into various Home Automation systems including
Control4, RTI, URC, Crestron, etc. Please visit www.rimikon.com to see a list of
compatible Home Automation Platforms currently supported.

Hardware Installation
Selecting a home for your IP controller depends on how it will be used. In standalone
and WIFI mode, it can virtually be conveniently installed anywhere. In Ethernet mode,
you will need to plug in aRJ45 network cable into the Network port on the front of the IP
Controller. Wall mounting you IP controller is recommended.

Figure 1 shows the ports on the rear of the IP controller. From left to right these ports
are:
2.5mm Jack 12v or 24v power supply.
V+/V- 12v or 24V power supply.
+/- Connect LED Lights to these port.
The remaining ports are for future expansion.
The RIM-RGBIPC model has the same functions with the RGB input.

The IP controller provides 2 ways of connecting power to it. With the 2.5mm plug
connector or hard wired. Use one or the other; do not connect more than 1 power
supply to your IP controller. Also, please be careful to observe the polarity markings on
the IP controller. Failure to do so may damage your IP controller and void your
warranty.
Once you have verified the proper wiring, power up the IP Controller, it takes
approximately 90 seconds for the IP controller to fully boot up.
Software Installation
Apple IOS
Open the App Store on your device, search for Rimikon. Download and install the
Rimikon App.
Android
Open the Play Store, search for Rimikon. Download and install the Rimikon App.

Stand Alone
In standalone mode, all you need to control your LED light is a smart phone or tablet.
1. Make sure that the IP controller’s front switch is set to WIFI and then power up
the IP Controller, open up your devices wireless network page. On it you will find
all available wireless networks. Look for the WIFI SSID that starts with
“LEDnetXXXXXXXX” (the x’s are the IP controllers MAC Address.) (Figure 2)
2. Connect to that network using the default password “88888888”.
3. Open the Rimikon App, there you will see......... the same LEDnetXXXXXXXX
listed as an available device. (Figure 3) Press and hold it for 3 seconds to edit it.
4. Once you are on the Devices Edit screen, you can rename it, change its WIFI
SSID and change the password as well.
5. You can now control the Light.
WIFI Mode
In WIFI mode, you are linking the IP controller to your existing wireless network. To do
so, please follow the instructions below:
1. Make sure that the IP controller’s front switch is set to WIFI and then power up
the IP Controller, open up your devices wireless network page. On it you will find
all available wireless networks. Look for the WIFI SSID that starts with
“LEDnetXXXXXXXX” (the x’s are the IP controllers MAC Address.) (Figure 2)
2. Connect to that network using the default password “88888888”.
3. Open the Rimikon App, there you will see the same LEDnetXXXXXXXX listed as
an available device. (Figure 3) Press and hold it for 3 seconds to edit it.
4. Once you are on the Devices Edit screen, please take note of the MAC Address,
you will need in the next step. Rename the device to make it easier to identify it
later on. Below you will find a box asking to connect to existing WIFI network,
click on it, select the WIFI network you wish to connect to and insert the
password. Save and exit.
5. Unplug, wait 20 seconds and then replug the module. After it is finished booting
up, log into your routers settings page and assign the IP controller a static IP.
This is sometimes referred to as Address reservation. Please consult your
routers documentation to learn how to assign a static IP.
6. Complete steps 1-5 for each IP controller you want to control.
7. You can now control all your lights using the Rimikon App.

Ethernet Mode
1. Make sure that the IP controller’s front switch is set to WIFI and then power up
the IP Controller, open up your devices wireless network page. On it you will find
all available wireless networks. Look for the WIFI SSID that starts with
“LEDnetXXXXXXXX” (the x’s are the IP controllers MAC Address.) (Figure 2)
2. Connect to that network using the default password “88888888”.
3. Open the Rimikon App, there you will see the same LEDnetXXXXXXXX listed as
an available device. (Figure 3) Press and hold it for 3 seconds to edit it.
4. Once you are on the Devices Edit screen, please take note of the MAC Address,
you will need in the next step. Rename the device to make it easier to identify it
later on. Below you will find a box asking to connect to existing WIFI network,
Make sure that it is not selected. Save and exit.
5. Unplug The Power to the IP Controller and slide the front switch to the Network
position.
6. Connect the RJ45 Network wire to the front RJ45 Port on the IP Controller, and
power up the IP Controller. After it is finished booting up, log into your routers
settings page and assign the IP controller a static IP. This is sometimes referred
to as Address reservation. Please consult your routers documentation to learn
how to assign a static IP.
7. Complete steps 1-6 for each IP controller you want to control.
8. You can now control all your lights using the Rimikon App.
3rd Party Integration
The Rimikon IP Controller is designed to seamlessly integrate into many of today’s
leading Home Automation platforms including Control4, Crestron, RTI, URC and more.

Remarks:
- The Device IP is: 192.168.10.1 and default password 88888888.
- You can change your password in the settings.
- For WIFI mode, change the SSID to match with your Router ( the default setting)
- For Ethernet mode, make sure to uncheck the Follow Wireless Router SSID on
the properties page.
- Always assign static IP’s for all your IP Controllers.
- After modifying any settings, sign out, and reboot device. Device will work after
you power the IP Controller up again.
CAUTION:
1. Make sure you are connected to the correct wireless network.
2. Read the manual before using the IP / WIFI controller.
3. To reset your IP Controller, Power up the device, press and hold the reset button
located on the front of the device for 20 seconds. The IP Controller is now reset to
factory settings
