Connect your TV to your PlayStation
Connect the HDMI cable
Make sure your TV and PlayStation are switched o before you connect the
HDMI cable.
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT socket on your PlayStation.
2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI socket on your TV.

Connecting the controller
1. Connect the controller to the games console using the Mini USB Cable.
This must be done rst each time you connect to a new games console.
2. If there is more than 1 player/controller, you will need to assign a player
number to the controller. This must be done each time you turn on the
games console.

Battery Charging
Charging the controller
Use the Mini USB cable to connect the controller to the console. The Player
Indicators of the controller ash slowly to indicate that charging is in
progress. When the controller is fully charged, the Player Indicators light
up steadily.
Charging battery charge level
To check the battery charge level, when the controller is connected to the
console, press and hold button. A screen will come up. The charge level is
shown in the lower left corner of the screen.

Controller Operation
Assigning a Player Number
Each time you turn on the console, if there is more than 1 player/controller
connected, you must assign a player number to the controller.
1. On connection, the Player Indicators will ash.
2. Press the button once. The assigned player number will shine steadily.
7 controllers can be connected at one time. The controller number is shown
by the number against the Player Indicators. For number 5-7, add the
numbers of the player/controller lights together, e.g., Player Indicators 1 and
4 are on means this is Player/Controller 5.

Using the Controller
Disconnect the mini USB cable, the controller can be used wirelessly. Make
sure the controller is charged.
Setting Turbo re
Hold down the button you want to assign as your Turbo re button, e.g.
then press the TURBO button.
Clearing Turbo re
Hold down the button you assigned as your Turbo re button, e.g. then
press the CLEAR button.
Switching the PS3 on from the controller
Press the button.
The PlayStation can only be switched on from the controller, it cannot be
switched o.

Setting the PlayStation output
Display Settings
1. Press the button to scroll to the Settings menu .
2. Press the button, scroll down to Display settings.
3. Press the button to enter the Video Output settings menu.
4. Press and select HDMI.
5. Press to select Automatic.
The video resolution is selected in order of best to minimum:
1080p - 1080i - 720p - 480p/576p
6. Press the button to select YES, then press to conrm.
7. Press to save your settings.
8. Press to select Finish, then press to exit Video Ouput Settings.
Your Playstation will now be set to the optimum resolution.

Battery Charging
Charging the Headset
Before using the Headset it must be charged up rst. When charging for the
rst time this can take up to 8 hours for a full charge.
1. Connect the headset to the games console using the Mini USB Cable.
The indicator light with turn red to show it is charging.
2. When the headset is fully charged the indicator light will switch o.
