INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Riptunes Wireless
Bluetooth® Speaker System. Before using your Speaker Sys-
tem, please read through this manual. This manual will help you
use many of the exciting and useful features of your new unit.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND
RESERVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU
IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY OPERATING PROBLEM.
1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the unit’s main
speakers, do not remove the front cover or disassemble the back of the unit.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Contact technical support for fur-
ther assistance.
2. WARNING: To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose the unit to
rain or moisture.
3. Do not expose the Wireless Bluetooth® Speaker System or the Adapter to any
water (including drips or splashes). Objects filled with liquids, such as vases
and water bottles, should not be placed on or near the unit.
4. No objects of any kind should be placed on top of the unit.
5. Keep the stereo system away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as
radiators or stoves.
6. Do not place the stereo system on an unstable table, stand, tripod, bracket
or cart. The unit may fall, resulting in possible damage or injury.
7. Unplug the power from the outlet when the unit is not in use.
8. Dispose of this unit properly respecting your local laws for electronics and
battery disposal.
9. WARNING: The unit should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sun-
light, fire or any other heat source.
10. WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories specified provided by the
manufacturer, except for a standard 3.5 mm auxiliary cable.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Getting Started and Bluetooth® Pairing
1. Use unit’s Power switch on the back panel to turn unit ON (I Position).
2. Once the unit is turned on, you will see a slowly blinking blue indicator light. In this
mode, the unit’s Bluetooth mode is turned on, but is not in pairing mode. [If you have
already paired and connected a device, the blue LED will be steadily lit.]
3. Press the Bluetooth Pairing  button for 4 seconds to have the speaker system
enter pairing mode. The speaker will beep twice and the blue indicator light will flash
rapidly, putting the speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode for approximately 10 minutes
(before turning pairing o again).
4. Activate your other device’s Bluetooth function (you might refer to your device’s us-
er’s guide). The speaker should connect to any Bluetooth certified device within 30
feet..
5. When “Mavis” appears in the Bluetooth devices list, pair it to your device. Once the
device is paired & connected to the Speaker’s Bluetooth receiver, the indicator light
will turn to steady blue, and the speaker should emit a single beep.
Playing Music Through Bluetooth (aer Pairing)
1. You can control the speaker through your device or with the speaker’s Play/Pause
 and Volume ( and ) buttons, found on the top panel.
2. If a smartphone is connected and you receive a call during playback, answering the
call using the phone will put the speaker into standby mode & it will mute. Once the
call is disconnected, the speaker will resume playback automatically (provided the
phone is using a compatible Bluetooth version).
3. If the connected device moves too far away from the speaker (usually more than 30
feet or less if blocked by walls, for example) the speaker disconnects from the device
but will attempt to resume connection once the device is closer.
Playing Music Through Auxiliary input Jack
The unit also supports listening and playing media o other
non-Bluetooth devices as follows:
1. Plug in the high quality 3.5mm (1/8”) male-to-male connector auxiliary cable (includ-
ed) into the Aux-In jack on the rear of the unit and connect the other end to the line-
out or headphone jack of any standard audio device.
2. Once the AUX cable is attached to the back panel port labeled AUX, the status indi-
cator light will turn amber, indicating unit is using line in mode instead of Bluetooth
mode.
3. Both the top panel volume buttons and the connected device’s controls can be used
to adjust the volume. Play music from your attached device as usual. User your
device’s controls for music/song control adjustment. It is a good idea to keep your
device’s volume level lower than the maximum to ensure sound quality.
4. Once the AUX cable is disconnected from back panel of unit, the speaker will contin-
ue Bluetooth operations & indicator light will turn BLUE.

Charging another device o the Speaker
The unit’s USB Output oers power of 5V/1A to charge another de-
vice.
Note: It is recommended that you turn the unit o when not in use to
avoid unnecessary energy consumption.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM SOLUTION
The music coming out of the speaker
system sounds distorted ad high vol-
ume.
While it’s fine to adjust the speaker to
the maximum volume, it is best if the
source device is set to a lower than
maximum volume.
How come I can’t get the device to
turn on?
The device needs to be plugged in to
an AC outlet. If it is plugged into an
outlet, try another outlet. See the
“General operation” section above.
Why can’t I seem to connect my music
source to Bluetooth? See the Bluetooth section above.
I paired my device and I see “Mavis”
in my devices list. However, my Blue-
tooth icon is not lit and the speaker’s
is still blinking a slow blue.
Your device is “paired” to the speaker
but not “connected.” Be sure to select
it from your device’s Bluetooth menu
and it should connect.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Felicidades por la compra del Sistema Inalámbrico Bluetooth® de Al-
tavoces Riptunes. Antes de utilizar su Sistema de Altavoces, por favor
lea todo este manual. Este manual le ayudará a utilizar las múltiples
funciones útiles y emocionantes de su nueva unidad,

1. ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica o daños a los altavoces
principales de la unidad no retire la cubierta frontal o desarme la parte posterior de
la unidad. No hay partes dentro de la unidad a las que el usuario pueda darles servi-
cio. Entre en contacto con Soporte Técnico para tener mayor asistencia.
2. ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar el fuego o descarga eléctrica no exponga la unidad a la

Iniciando y Emparejamiento Bluetooth®
1. Utilice el interruptor de encendido de la unidad en el panel posterior para encender
la unidad (Posición I)
2. Una vez que la unidad ya esté encendida, verá una luz indicadora color azul que par-
padea lentamente. En este modo, el Bluetooth de la unidad está encendido, pero no
está en modo de emparejamiento. [Cuando usted haya emparejado y conectado un
dispositivo, el LED azul quedará encendido de forma estable].
3. Presione el botón de Emparejamiento Bluetooth por 4 segundos para que el
sistema entre en modo de emparejamiento. El altavoz pitará dos veces y la luz in-
dicadora azul parpadeará rápidamente, poniendo al altavoz en modo de empareja-
miento Bluetooth por aproximadamente 10 minutos (antes de apagar nuevamente
el emparejamiento).
4. Active la función Bluetooth de sus otros dispositivos (quizá desee referirse al manual
de usuario de su dispositivo). El altavoz deberá conectarse a cualquier dispositivo
Bluetooth certificado dentro de un rango de 30 pies (10 metros aproximadamente).
5. Cuando “Mavis” se muestre en la lista de dispositivos Bluetooth emparéjelo con su
dispositivo. Una vez que el dispositivo está conectado y emparejado al Receptor
Bluetooth® del Altavoz la luz indicadora quedará estable y el altavoz deberá emitir
un solo pitido.
Reproduciendo Música por Medio del Bluetooth (después del
emparejamiento)
1. Puede controlar el altavoz a través de su dispositivo o por medio de los botones del
altavoz  y volumen (y ) que se encuentran en la parte superior del panel.
2. Si está conectado un Smartphone y recibe una llamada durante la reproducción, al
contestar la llamada el altavoz quedará en modo de espera y en silencio. Una vez
que se desconecta la llamada el altavoz reanudará la reproducción automáticamen-
te (siempre y cuando el teléfono este usando una versión Bluetooth compatible).
3. Si el dispositivo conectado se mueve demasiado lejos del altavoz(normalmente más
de 30 pies – 10 metros, o menos si está bloqueado por muros) el altavoz se desco-
nectará del dispositivo pero intentará restablecer la conexión una vez que el dispo-
sitivo esté más cerca.
Reproduciendo Música por Medio del Conector Auxiliar
Esta unidad también es compatible con otros medios de reproducción
que no sean Bluetooth, de la siguiente forma:
1. Conecte el cable auxiliar 3.5mm (1/8”) de alta calidad macho-macho (incluido) al
conector AUX en la parte posterior de la unidad y conecte el otro extremo a la línea
de salida o conector de auriculares de cualquier dispositivo de audio estándar.
2. Una vez que el cable AUX esté conectado al panel posterior etiquetado AUX, la luz in-
dicadora de estado se prenderá en color ámbar indicando que está usando el modo
de línea en lugar del modo Bluetooth.
3. Ambos, los botones de volumen del panel superior y los controles del dispositivo
conectado, pueden ser utilizados para ajustar el volumen. Reproduzca música des-
de su dispositivo adjunto como lo acostumbra. Utilice los controles del dispositivo

para los ajustes del control de música y canciones. Para asegurar una buena calidad
de sonido, es mejor mantener el nivel de volumen del dispositivo en bajo que man-
tenerlo en el máximo.
4. Una vez que el cable AUX se desconecta de la parte posterior de la unidad, el altavoz
continuará con la operación Bluetooth y la luz indicadora se prenderá en color azul.
Cargando Otro Dispositivo con el Altavoz
La salida USB de la unidad ofrece energía de 5V/1A para cargar otro
dispositivo.
Nota: se recomienda que apague la unidad cuando no se utiliza para evitar
consumo innecesario de energía.

fonctionnalités intéressantes et utiles de votre nouvel appareil.

3. Ne pas exposer le système de haut-parleurs sans fil Bluetooth® ou l’adaptateur à

l’appareil.
4. Aucun objet de toute sorte ne devrait être placé sur le dessus de l’unité.

6. Ne pas placer le système stéréo sur une table, un socle, un trépied, un support ou
