visioncompatibleandcanrunupto1600hoursononesingle
CR2032battery.
Explanation of Parallax
Parallaxdescribesasituationwherethefocalplaneoftheobjectinthescopeisoffset
fromthereticle.Ifyouhaveparallax,youhaveanopticalillusionthatmustbecorrected.
Parallaxshouldnotbeconfusedwithfocus.Parallaxcompensationchangesneitherthe
focusofthereticlenorthefocusoftheimage;itsimplymovestheplanesatwhichthese
twoobjectsareinfocussothattheysharethesameplane.
TO ADJUST THE PARALLAX:
1. Setyourfastfocuseyepieceforyoureye.Lookatablankbackdropandturnyoureye
pieceinandoutuntilyouhaveacrispsharpreticle.
2. Lookthroughscopeandplacecross-hairontarget.Moveyourheadaroundwithout
leavingexitpupil.Doesthecrosshairmoveorbecomeblurry?
3. Ifthecross-hairmovesorisblurry,setthesideparallaxtoestimatedrange,usethisas
startingpointandnetuneasneeded.

Factory Zero
YourRitonriescopeispre-setfromthefactorywiththereticlein
thecenteroftheadjustmentranges.
TO FIND FACTORY ZERO:
1. Dialturretonedirectionuntilitwillnolongerrotate.
NOTE-Donotforcetheturretpastit’sstoppingpoint.
2. DialturretoppositedirectioncountinghowmanyMOAit
turns.
3. DividethattotalnumberofMOAinhalfanddialtothat
numberforyourfactoryzero.
4. Completethisprocedureforbothwindageandelevation
dialstoapproximatelycenterthereticle.

TO ACTIVATE THE ILLUMINATION:
1. Rotatetheadjustmentknobineitherdirection.
Note - The illumination knob allows for 11 levels of brightness intensity.
TO CHANGE BATTERY:
1. Unscrewtheoutercap.
2. Removethebattery.
3. ReplacewithanewCR2032batterywithpositivesideout.
4. Re-installthebatterycapandbesuretotightenfully.

Mounting Your Riton Red Dot
TO MOUNT YOUR RITON RED DOT:
1. LoosenthenutonthebottomoftheREDDOTbase.Then
attachthelowerhalftotherail/baseandmakesurethisis
solidlyseatedinthebasegroove.Topreventrecoilinjury,
positiontheringsothatyouhaveatleastfourinchesofeye
relief.
2. Note.theRitonRRDhasanunlimitedeyerelief.
3. IfyouplantomountamagnierbehindyourRedDotbesure
toleavesucientspaceforthisasyoumountyourRRD
4. Beforetighteningthescoperingscrews,adjustformaximum
eyerelieftoavoidinjuryfromrecoil.
5. Besurethebaseclampishookedaroundtheoutsideofthe
rail/base.Pressdownwardand
Eye Relief and Reticle Alignment
TO SET A PROPER EYE RELIEF AND RETICLE
ALIGNMENT:
1. Settheriescopemagnicationtothehighestsetting.
2. Slidetheriescopeasfarforwardaspossibleintherings.
3. Whilelookingthroughtheriescopeinanormalshooting
position,slidetheriescopebacktowardsyourface,
payingattentiontotheeldofview.Justasthefulleldof
viewisvisible,stopthemovementoftheriescope.
4. Withoutdisturbingthefront-backplacement,rotatethe
riescopeuntiltheverticalcrosshairexactlymatchesthe
verticalaxisoftherie.Useofareticlelevelingtool,a
weighthungonarope,orbubblelevelstohelpwiththis
procedure.
5. Afteraligningthereticle,tightenandtorquethering
screwsdownperthemanufacturer’sinstructions.

Bore Sighting
Boresightingisapreliminaryproceduretoachieveproper
alignmentofthescopewiththerie’sbore.Initialboresightingof
theriescopewilldecreasetheamountoftimeandammunition
youneedtouseattherange.
Thiscanbedonebyusingamechanicalorlaserboresighter
accordingtothemanufacturer’sinstructionsorbyremovingthe
boltandsightingthroughthebarrelonsomeries.
TO BORE SIGHT YOUR RIFLESCOPE:
1. Placetheriesolidlyonarestandremovethebolt.
2. Sightthroughtheboreatatargetapproximately100yards
away.
3. Movetherieandtherestuntilthetargetisvisuallycentered
insidethebarrel.
4. Withthetargetcenteredinthebore,makewindageand
elevationadjustmentsuntilthereticlecrosshairisalso
centeredoverthetarget.
Note - If a laser bore sighting or any other similar device inside the bore
was used, it must be removed before ring. An obstructed bore can cause
serious damage to the gun and possible injury to the shooter.
TO ZERO THE SCOPE:
1. Startsight-inprocessfrom25yards,fromsolidrestre3-shotgroup,ensuringthat
youreatsamespoteachtime.Usegridlinesontargettocenterandlevelyour
crosshairs.
2. Aftertherst3-shotgroup,makeadjustmentstobringbulletimpacttocenteroftarget
you’reshootingat.Repeatthisprocessat100yardsandyouwillhaveaccurate100
yardzero.
Note - Scope graduations are 1 MOA. Scope turrets are marked with direction of bullet impact change.
At 100 yards a 1 MOA scope adjustment will move bullet impact 1 inch in direction adjusted. At 25
yards that same 1 MOA adjustment will be 4 times smaller, so 1 MOA adjustment at 25 yards will move
bullet impact 1/4 of an inch.

includingtheindustry’sbestwarranty.Thequalityofourproductsmakesthisthebest
warrantyyou’lllikelyneverhavetouse;however,ashuntersandoutdoorsmenandwomen,
weknowthatbadthingssometimeshappentoeventhemostcautious.
OUR WARRANTY IS SIMPLE:
• NoproofofpurchaseorregistrationrequiredforyourRitonproducts.
• Lifetimewarrantyregardlessoforiginalpurchaser.
• Allwarrantyreplacementswillreceiveabrand-newproductofftheshelf.Wewillnot
everreplacetheproductwitharepairedorrefurbishedproduct.
• Replacementproductwillbeshippedwithin48hoursofreceivingandapprovingyour
return.
• Loss,theftand/ordeliberatelywornanddamagedproductsarenotcovered.Warranty
isVOIDifdamageresultsfromunauthorizedrepairoralteration.
Troubleshooting
Problemsthoughttobeassociatedwiththescopeareoftenactuallymountproblems.Take
timetoensurethemountsaretighttotherieandthatscopeissecuredanddoesn’ttwist
ormoveintherings.Conrmthatcorrectbaseandringsarebeingusedandintheproper
orientation.Besuretotorqueringspermanufacturer’sspecs.
Keepinmindtherearemanyissuesthatcancausepoorbulletgrouping.Alwaysutilizea
solidrestandmaintaingoodshootingtechnique.Haveaqualiedgunsmithlookoveryour
rietobesureallthingsareinworkingorder.Seethattheactionandbarrelareproperly
cleaned.Someriesandammunitiondon’tworkwelltogether,trydifferentammunitionand
seeifaccuracyimproves.
