visioncompatibleandcanrunupto1600hoursononesingle
CR2032battery.
Explanation of Parallax
Parallaxdescribesasituationwherethefocalplaneoftheobjectinthescopeisoffset
fromthereticle.Ifyouhaveparallax,youhaveanopticalillusionthatmustbecorrected.
Parallaxshouldnotbeconfusedwithfocus.Parallaxcompensationchangesneitherthe
focusofthereticlenorthefocusoftheimage;itsimplymovestheplanesatwhichthese
twoobjectsareinfocussothattheysharethesameplane.
TO ADJUST THE PARALLAX:
1. Setyourfastfocuseyepieceforyoureye.Lookatablankbackdropandturnyoureye
pieceinandoutuntilyouhaveacrispsharpreticle.
2. Lookthroughscopeandplacecross-hairontarget.Moveyourheadaroundwithout
leavingexitpupil.Doesthecrosshairmoveorbecomeblurry?
3. Ifthecross-hairmovesorisblurry,setthesideparallaxtoestimatedrange,usethisas
startingpointandnetuneasneeded.

Factory Zero
YourRitonriescopeispre-setfromthefactorywiththereticlein
thecenteroftheadjustmentranges.
TO FIND FACTORY ZERO:
1. Dialturretonedirectionuntilitwillnolongerrotate.
NOTE-Donotforcetheturretpastit’sstoppingpoint.
2. DialturretoppositedirectioncountinghowmanyMOAit
turns.
3. DividethattotalnumberofMOAinhalfanddialtothat
numberforyourfactoryzero.
4. Completethisprocedureforbothwindageandelevation
dialstoapproximatelycenterthereticle.

TO ACTIVATE THE ILLUMINATION:
1. Rotatetheadjustmentknobineitherdirection.
Note - The illumination knob allows for 11 levels of brightness intensity.
TO CHANGE BATTERY:
1. Unscrewtheoutercap.
2. Removethebattery.
3. ReplacewithanewCR2032batterywithpositivesideout.
4. Re-installthebatterycapandbesuretotightenfully.

Mounting Your Riton Red Dot
TO MOUNT YOUR RITON RED DOT:
1. LoosenthenutonthebottomoftheREDDOTbase.Then
attachthelowerhalftotherail/baseandmakesurethisis
solidlyseatedinthebasegroove.Topreventrecoilinjury,
positiontheringsothatyouhaveatleastfourinchesofeye
relief.
2. Note.theRitonRRDhasanunlimitedeyerelief.
3. IfyouplantomountamagnierbehindyourRedDotbesure
toleavesucientspaceforthisasyoumountyourRRD
4. Beforetighteningthescoperingscrews,adjustformaximum
eyerelieftoavoidinjuryfromrecoil.
5. Besurethebaseclampishookedaroundtheoutsideofthe
rail/base.Pressdownwardand
Eye Relief and Reticle Alignment
TO SET A PROPER EYE RELIEF AND RETICLE
ALIGNMENT:
1. Settheriescopemagnicationtothehighestsetting.
2. Slidetheriescopeasfarforwardaspossibleintherings.
3. Whilelookingthroughtheriescopeinanormalshooting
position,slidetheriescopebacktowardsyourface,
payingattentiontotheeldofview.Justasthefulleldof
viewisvisible,stopthemovementoftheriescope.
4. Withoutdisturbingthefront-backplacement,rotatethe
riescopeuntiltheverticalcrosshairexactlymatchesthe
verticalaxisoftherie.Useofareticlelevelingtool,a
weighthungonarope,orbubblelevelstohelpwiththis
procedure.
5. Afteraligningthereticle,tightenandtorquethering
screwsdownperthemanufacturer’sinstructions.

Bore Sighting
Boresightingisapreliminaryproceduretoachieveproper
alignmentofthescopewiththerie’sbore.Initialboresightingof
theriescopewilldecreasetheamountoftimeandammunition
youneedtouseattherange.
Thiscanbedonebyusingamechanicalorlaserboresighter
accordingtothemanufacturer’sinstructionsorbyremovingthe
boltandsightingthroughthebarrelonsomeries.
TO BORE SIGHT YOUR RIFLESCOPE:
1. Placetheriesolidlyonarestandremovethebolt.
2. Sightthroughtheboreatatargetapproximately100yards
away.
3. Movetherieandtherestuntilthetargetisvisuallycentered
insidethebarrel.
4. Withthetargetcenteredinthebore,makewindageand
elevationadjustmentsuntilthereticlecrosshairisalso
centeredoverthetarget.
Note - If a laser bore sighting or any other similar device inside the bore
was used, it must be removed before ring. An obstructed bore can cause
serious damage to the gun and possible injury to the shooter.
TO ZERO THE SCOPE:
1. Startsight-inprocessfrom25yards,fromsolidrestre3-shotgroup,ensuringthat
youreatsamespoteachtime.Usegridlinesontargettocenterandlevelyour
crosshairs.
2. Aftertherst3-shotgroup,makeadjustmentstobringbulletimpacttocenteroftarget
you’reshootingat.Repeatthisprocessat100yardsandyouwillhaveaccurate100
yardzero.
Note - Scope graduations are 1 MOA. Scope turrets are marked with direction of bullet impact change.
At 100 yards a 1 MOA scope adjustment will move bullet impact 1 inch in direction adjusted. At 25
yards that same 1 MOA adjustment will be 4 times smaller, so 1 MOA adjustment at 25 yards will move
bullet impact 1/4 of an inch.

weknowthatbadthingssometimeshappentoeventhemostcautious.
OUR WARRANTY IS SIMPLE:
• NoproofofpurchaseorregistrationrequiredforyourRitonproducts.
• Lifetimewarrantyregardlessoforiginalpurchaser.
• Allwarrantyreplacementswillreceiveabrand-newproductofftheshelf.Wewillnot
everreplacetheproductwitharepairedorrefurbishedproduct.
• Replacementproductwillbeshippedwithin48hoursofreceivingandapprovingyour
return.
• Loss,theftand/ordeliberatelywornanddamagedproductsarenotcovered.Warranty
isVOIDifdamageresultsfromunauthorizedrepairoralteration.
Troubleshooting
Problemsthoughttobeassociatedwiththescopeareoftenactuallymountproblems.Take
timetoensurethemountsaretighttotherieandthatscopeissecuredanddoesn’ttwist
ormoveintherings.Conrmthatcorrectbaseandringsarebeingusedandintheproper
orientation.Besuretotorqueringspermanufacturer’sspecs.
Keepinmindtherearemanyissuesthatcancausepoorbulletgrouping.Alwaysutilizea
solidrestandmaintaingoodshootingtechnique.Haveaqualiedgunsmithlookoveryour
rietobesureallthingsareinworkingorder.Seethattheactionandbarrelareproperly
cleaned.Someriesandammunitiondon’tworkwelltogether,trydifferentammunitionand
seeifaccuracyimproves.
