Set-Up Guide

Smart Home Monitoring!
Once you've set-up your Nest Thermostat, you will be able to control the
temperature of your home from your smartphone. You can also create custom
heating and cooling schedules, to lower energy use and save on heating/
cooling costs.
Let's begin!

Please refer to the enclosed manufacturer’s installation guide for operating and safety
instructions. To avoid injury, read all set-up and safety information included in your package
before installing and setting up your device. As set out in your service agreement, Rogers will
not be liable for any damage to your property as a result of your installation

1. Install the Nest Thermostat only after you have successfully paired the thermostat to
your Rogers Smart Home Monitoring system, by following the steps in this guide.

Pairing the Nest Thermostat
with your smartphone

Before you begin:
Login to your Rogers Smart Home Monitoring app. (Can’t remember your login
info? Visit rogers.com to retrieve your username or password). These steps
should be followed once you have completed the activation of your Smart Home
Monitoring System.
Note: Please install one Nest Thermostat at a time.

2. On My Home screen, tap Settings, then Manage Devices then Add Devices.
1. Login to your Rogers Smart Home Monitoring app. (Can’t remember your login info?
Visit rogers.com to retrieve your username or password).

4. Enter your Nest account credentials (not the SHM
Mobile app login info)
Note: If you do not have a Nest Account please
register for one at Nest.com. Once Nest account
is registered please link your Nest thermostat to
your Nest account. The above step cannot be
completed until this has been done.
3. Select Add.

5. Scroll down to read the Terms and Conditions.
6. Click Accept.

7. Once completed you will see Connected under
Nest.
8. Your Nest thermostat will be available under
2 sections of the mobile app. 1) Nest &
2) My Home screen (main page).

9. You may now control your Nest thermostat with
your SHM mobile app.
