11 - Inputs
11.1 –Microphone Input
Connect the microphone of the IS2100-M G-II in the entry shown in figure 4. To activate your audio in
the siren output, press the PTT and microphone to speak normally. To adjust the microphone volume
is necessary to press and hold the PTT and at the same time hold the button to increase or the
button to lower it.
Please note that there it is another input for an additional microphone located in the center of the
back panel of the Siren.
11.2 –Polarity Selection of the Steering Wheel Signal for Hands Free (Input 1)
This input defines the polarity for the hands free function; it should receive the connection of the
steering Wheel horn signal. Please see the description on page 9.
11.3 –Mode SL3 (Input 2)
When you connect this input to a +Vbat the mode SL3 is activated on the lightbar.
11.4 –Siren Tone Air Horn (Input 3)
When you connect this input to a +Vbat the IS2100-G M-II activates the Air Horn in the siren.
11.5 - I-Saver (Input 5)
Input configuration of the I-Saver. See the description of the Ignition Input on page 9.
11.6 –Backlight Panel Illumination (Input 6)
The backlight input should be connected to the power source of the vehicle lights, so it will be working
in agreement with the car headlights. When this input is active, the luminous intensity of the light bar
decreases by 70% (DIMMER
Both the operating conditions of the backlight (Input 6 disabled / input 6 enabled) can be configured
through the buttons and . To adjust the intensity of the backlight in the off condition it is
necessary to keep it off and keep the button pressed to increase the brightness and the button
to reduce the brightness intensity. The configuration of the backlight on the activated
condition is performed in the same way, but, you must first enable the function through the input 6.

11.7 –Cut Siren (Input 7)
When this input is connected to GND, disables all the tones of the siren. It is used for when the
vehicle was parked (neutral). To use this feature, connect the input to the neutral safety switch of the
vehicle's transmission.
11.8 –Ignition Input (Input 8)
The logic of operation of this input, together with the entry I-saver, is explained in table 5, where all
options are defined. This input should be connected to the ignition key of the vehicle's engine, to
control the functions of the IS2100-M G-II.
The way to connect the input I-saver, is defined as how the IS2100-M G-II will function, and may be:
always connected, shutting down together with the signal or trigger off only about 4 hours after the
trigger signal.

11.9 - Radio (input 9 y 10)
Inputs RADIO 1 and RADIO 2 must be connected to the audio outputs of the radio transceiver, to
amplify it in the output of the siren when the " key " was active in the IS2100-M G-II.
Make sure that the key is really turned on to adjust the audio volume in the siren output, then,
hold down the key to increase, and the key to decrease it.

11.10 –Function Hands Free
The IS2100-M G-II has a feature called "Hands Free", which allows the user to change the siren
tones using the steering wheel horn switch. This function is activated whenever any siren tone is
turned on, except the tone "Man" and "Horn".
When the hands-free function is active, the internal relay is activated by disconnecting the vehicle
horn. The sequence of tones changed by the flywheel continues the table 6
Notes:
* As soon as the Hands-free function is active, the vehicle horn does not work.
* The steering switch signal can be either positive (12V) or negative (GND), depending on the vehicle.
Pin 1 of the 10 pin connector (input 1) must be energized in accordance with this polarity. If the
steering signal is positive, pin 1 should be connected to 12V or stay loose. If the signal is negative,
pin 1 should be connected to GND, as shown in figures 6 and 7.
To turn off the siren tones you must press the flywheel by 2 seconds. To disable the Hands-free
function, press the key of the siren tone that is active.

12 –Digital Output
The 8 digital outputs of 250 mA of the IS2100-M G-II have protection against short-circuits, by
monitoring the current at the time that the outputs are activated. If the current exceeds the 250 mA at
the time that the output is turned on, it will be active as well for more than 25 ms, when doing a new
monitoring of current. If at this moment if the current is below 250mA, will be considered normal (the
load is capacitive), but if after this time if the continuous output current greater than 250 mA, all
outputs will be disabled and an error message will be indicated in the LEDs on the microphone, as
indicated in the figure 8 and the data in table 7.

10
Figure 8: LED indicator of short circuit in any digital output
To maintain the integrity of the circuits, all outputs will be disabled for 20 seconds, including the siren
tones and audio. Even with the possibility of an electrical problem in the installation, after this time the
outputs may be activated again.
12.2 –Low Bat indicator (output 7)
There are two indications of low battery, one in the left LED the microphone (figure 11) and the other
at exit 7 of the 8 pin connector (Low-Bat). When the battery voltage decreases until the critical level
of 10.8 V ± 0.2V and is like that for 10 seconds, the LED lights up. If the battery voltage stays well for
more than 20 seconds like this, the exit 7 (Low-Bat) will be activated.
Figure 9: Low Battery LED indicator
IMPORTANT: If it becomes necessary to enable the functions of the IS2100-M G-II, even if the
battery voltage is low, the user can press any key you want, and the IS2100-M G-II will run the
function normally, except the siren tones.
After indicating low battery, the SI2100-M G-II will end this indication (led display) when the voltage
rises above 12.5 V ± 0.2V and stay there for 20 seconds. In the moment that reaches this level and
stay in this state for more than 20 seconds exit 7 is also disabled. While the output 7 is active, the exit
8 (Radio-ON) will be disabled.
Exit 7 allows the control of external devices such as alarms, relays, etc. The output current is also
limited in 250 mA.
